Kinetico Quality Water Systems

I recently purchased the top of the line Kinetico whole house water purification system and I am very impressed with the entire system, including the kitchen sink water dispenser/​ice maker water system. Our water was 18 grains hard before the system was installed and the water tasted terrible, undrinkable, and now our water has no detectable water hardness or total dissolved solids and our water tastes better and is more pure than any bottled water available. I would highly recommend purchasing and having installed Kinetico’s top of the line dual filtration system whole house water purification system, as soon as possible!!!

Best customer service in las vegas! Sales rep knowledgeable with water science, didn’t try to upsell, actually gave other vendor options. Priced better than purchase and install on my own. Installed by very courteous men who didn’t mind explaining what they were doing and why… really, I was hovering and it didn’t bother them in the least. They left no trace they were even in the home, clean and meticulous. 3 days after install rep came out to inspect and test water chemistry levels, found drinking water could be better and ordered service call on the spot. I find the drinking water excellent but rep insisted, i have the best… yeah me! If you want the best, these guys have it — all I can say is WOW.

We had the FLECK Water Softener and K-​5 Reverse Osmosis drinking water system installed today in our home. The installation technicians were Shawn and Ian. They did an excellent job in coordinating the Water Softener with the previously installed Hansen’s Home Water Treatment System that the original owner had purchased for our home. Also, they informed us of the details in monitoring our system moving forward. Obviously, it’s too early for us to report any results of this investment, or experience with their potential follow-​up service calls, however, my previous experience with Kinetico many years ago in another State along with their Las Vegas salesperson, Jeremy, moved us to choose Kinetico as our water consultant company.

the sales associate was extremely nice, explained all the systems available. We found something we absolutely liked and the installation was very professional as well. It was installed very quickly and the installers were very courteous. We had service come out after to change something out and that was completely covered at no cost.

The water heater went out in the house I recently bought in Las Vegas. So I took a shower at my neighbor’s house and found out that my water softener was not working either. I went to a Home Show and signed up for quotes for a new water softener from a lot of different companies. Since I have always lived in areas that had great water — I knew nothing about living with the terrible water we have in Las Vegas. Every company that came to my house confused me more… until Kinetico!!! Kinetico did a complete water test in my house, explained how all the systems on the market work, and let me make the decision instead of pressuring me to buy what they wanted to sell me. I even bought the K5 reverse osmosis system which has the highest rating from Consumer Reports. I am very happy with the Kinetico systems I purchased. I love the fact that everything is guaranteed for 10 years and has very low maintenance.

Shawn the technician from Kinetico did an outstanding job installing the water softener. I was very impress with his work and professionalism. He explained thoroughly how the system works. What a difference on the water quality especially since we have hard water and calcium in Las Vegas. The water softener feel so good when I take a shower. It feels so silky and so as my hair. I wish I did this sooner. Believe me you will love the quality of the water. It is worth every penny. Anyway, if you want yours installed ask for Shawn. He is honest and straight to the point. I am glad he is the one assigned to install our system because he is very knowledgeable at doing this. I am a realtor so I will refer Shawn to my clients. Excellent job, Shawn : – ))

Monday a guy came out to give us a quote for water treatment. After his hour long process gave us a 6000.00 quote. We was a little scared to spend that amount of money. So the guy says to try for a credit card with no interest thru SunTrust so he filled out the paperwork. A day later SunTrust calls and says we were denied. Well right after that the guys calls back and says we got you a proved thru aqua finance for 7%. So we got online and looked as his credit and sure enough kinetico ran it thru a different company that we did not give permission to go thru. I called the office to ask why they told me the sales guy would call me. Oh well look at that no call so i called first thing the next day ok will have him call you i also asked for his manager to call me i got nothing finally i call back about 1pm the lady says the manager just got in hes in a meeting well after a hour again i call back she says i don’t know why he hasn’t called you back i said well i waite on the phone for him. oh look thats gets me to talk to someone. So he tells me they wouldn’t run it if we didn’t say or the lady in the office ran it and didn’t know all bull s***t they knew exactly what they were doing. oh and it just so happens that his home depot credit card the limit got raised that day as well and they are contracted with them but didn’t do that either. so needless to say his credit was run and now his credit went down that hes been working so hard to build becauae thwy wanted a sale thanks for nothing kinetico.

How about a zero stars for not keeping their promises! Salesman came out was supposed to give us each $ 20 Home Depot gift card. If they can’t even do that how can I trust giving them $ 6000 for their system. Very very deceived and disappointed!!!

So on 01÷28÷16 I wrote a scathing review of the poor customer service and lack of communication from the local dealer that installed my system… I was also put in contact with someone at their Corporate office that promised me that someone would be in contact with me asap… Well the very next day they sent out an installer that righted all the wrongs that I was done by all of Kinetico… the installer’s name was Shawn Johnson and he is the only person at Kinetico that obviously cares about the customer… He took one look at my system and when above and beyond to fix the issues and he did it in record time… Now getting back to the root of the issue… I have not heard from anyone from the local dealer and no call from Corporate either… but wait it gets better… apparently just today they told the installer Shawn that I wrote an F-​U gram about their company on Unilocal because of him… How sad is that… The installer had the decency to call me and ask me about the whole situation… and to top it off, when I was chatting with the fine young gentleman as he was fixing my system, he told me that his boss was leaving and they didn’t think that he was customer conscious enough to be promoted to replace the leaving manager… This guy Shawn should be the GM of the local dealer in my opinion… If you should choose to go with Kinetico… trust me. insist that only Shawn Johnson install your equipment… I wonder… think anyone will call now ???

They ended up calling back and coming out the same day they had promised after all. All faucets work well now. Our drinking water faucet stopped working a couple of times but each time the company sent out someone to fix it in a timely manner. Water excellent and we’re satisfied now.

Marty came out to change reverse osmosis filters and get the soft water up and working again. Kinetico honored their warranty on soft water drain valves. R/​O is working perfect and bill was a little over $ 200.

After having a bad experience with customer service and the repair department I have to commend Tom Powell for his exceptional service.
The kinetico system is hands down the best system we purchased. Over the course of 10 years ownership of the system we’ve experienced both good and bad customer service with this company. We just recently had bad relations with customer service and Mr. Powell took the time to personally make a phone and went above and beyond to speak to us personally to address our experience.
The kinetico system is fantastic!

When we first bought our home, a Kinetico whole house water softener was in place. We weren’t sure how long it had been with the house but it still worked great.
Recently it was acting up so we stopped in to inquire about service. The customer service was great. She was able to look up when our system was installed. Little did we know the system has a 10 year warranty even with new owners. Parts were all covered if need be. That was comforting so we made the appointment for service.
The service man showed up right on time. He was courteous, professional and worked in a timely manner. He was able to get our system back up and running like a champ.
I realize the Kinetico Water System is a little more pricey but I think they are well worth it.

I got the whole home chlorine and water softener system and the osmosis drink water system for my house when i moved in. After living in the house for 6 months you can see the differences everywhere compared to my old apartment. There are no hard water stains or build up in the sinks, faucets, shower or dishwasher. Also, all of the drinking glasses that I have had for a few years that had become cloudy with mineral build up have become crystal clear and look like new. Very glad I had the system installed, and after 6 months of using the osmosis drinking water the original filters are still holding strong.
The sales person that came over was very nice and on time. took time to go over the differences between treated and untreated water and actually show us the difference using mini filters and different compounds.
Also the person that came to install the system worked quickly and cleanly, was very friendly and was happy to answer any questions and walk us through the entire system and what to do if something started to malfunction (nothing has, system has been great).

I’m the type of person the does exhausting research for any kind of purchase or investment. Prior to research I had no knowledge or experience with water treatment. I learned a lot on line… mostly that there is as much myth as there is facts. I had 3 water treatment companies demo their products in my home. 2 of them made wild claims and boasted system capabilities that weren’t even possible physically or scientifically! The Kinetico rep was extremely professional! I searched his demonstration for the common miss representations both the other 2 companies used and I grilled him with questions that I knew the answers to. Best I can tell he answered with integrity. When asked questions he didn’t know the answers to he got on the phone and got them. He DIDN’T guess or bs me which in itself won me over;
The installers were great! My experience since the installation has been uneventful which is exactly what I wanted! Nothing to stress over! Wife loves the soft water and I love the drinking water system!

I love this company. The salespeople are great and they were out within a couple days to install the system. It is a little pricey but so worth it. I have never thought my skin could feel this good living in vegas. We also got the drinking water system installed and it is just as great. I recommend this system above any of the ‘electric’ types.

My wife and I moved to Las Vegas from Los Angeles in 2004. We have never regretted that decision because LA is a dehumanizing place to live. At least it was for us. One thing, though, that we encountered when we got here that we didn’t have to deal with in Los Angeles was extremely hard water. I didn’t even know what that was when we got here, and was surprised that so many people here had water treatment for their own homes.
Once I realize this is something that we needed, I started researching. Being a thorough kind of person, admittedly to a fault, I looked at a lot of different companies. What I was surprised to find is that they all said something different. Some of the claims were truly amazing, like you could wrap a wire around the pipe or connect magnets to it and you would make your water «soft». Those were easily debunked, but some others were more sophisticated. People talked about mixed media in multiple stages, and energy cells and all kinds of other things that a person without a degree in chemistry would have a hard time following.
Then one day I walked into a Home Depot store and there was a display in the store for a company called Kinetico. I arranged to have someone come out and show us what they had, and I was truly impressed. The salesperson was very knowledgeable, took the time to thoroughly explain water treatment and how it works and then gave us a lot of choices.
They had the same type of systems that the other national brand companies in town had, but also showed me something I hadn’t seen before. This was a system that worked off of the flow of the water rather than electricity. Very clever, I thought. It did cost more than the others, but it also is designed to last four or five times longer than they do. So I purchased that system.
We got purification for drinking water, carbon filtering for taking the chlorine out of the water and of course the water softener.
To date, no complaints. Quite the contrary, I feel they’ve delivered on everything they promised and have been nothing less than professional every step of the way.
Reading the other reviews here, I’m wondering if we’re talking about the same company. I guess people are more likely to complain than praise, so maybe the company is not perfect. But I can only go by my experience, and so far I’ve been thoroughly pleased with the product and the people who stand behind it.
Would I recommend it to my friends and family? Yes, absolutely. As a matter fact, I have and a number of them have gotten Kinetico systems. I’ve never heard any complaints from them, so I assume that they are happy with the company as well.

I love the water system. except it cost 6k years ago and I have done nothing but rave to family and friends about. I was told no matter where I live in the country they would in hook system and rehook us up for free. Now that we are moving they want to charge me 353… Do not purchase if u intend to ever move

The jury is still out on them at OUR house.
Called them today because our system is overflowing… the only advice that I took away from the interaction is for us to bypass the Kinetico System untill they could see the system.
Just for them to“see” the system, it will cost us $ 109.00 (service call fee plus the first thirty minutes of labor). If additional work is needed, then it’s $ 15.00 for each 15 minutes. I asked about the lifetime guarantee that I heard on KDWN radio and was told that since we purchased our system in 1997 that we wouldn’t be covered.
So I ask then, if I’m not under warranty, why should I use your company for service? I got a, «You can do whatever you want. We ARE the only company authorized to service our system.»
I suppose that’s a great answer if a warranty WAS being honored.
AND, to top it off, they don’t guarantee an appointment time… even though they charge their customers for the visit. I don’t like paying to go to the dentist for maintenance on my teeth, but at least a gal gets an appointment time for THAT service.
I’m astonished at companies (that want to keep my business) would automatically charge me a fee to determine what was wrong with THEIR system. I would think that they would stop by to see what’s wrong first and then determine with me the best path to resolving. The «service» person wanted to immediately transfer me to sales (probably so they could try and sell me a whole new system)…I didn’t want a salesperson, I wanted SERVICE.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. Their sales people are nice, of course. It’s after you rent or purchase that it goes downhill.
Basically, this company is all about sales and not about service. Our Kinetico rental system worked great, but was replace twice.
We purchased different unit from a different company and requested our rental to be picked up and terminated. For 3 months they gave us the run around, and would promise to call us back. For 3 months they were not able to book a removal appointment because the scheduler was always out and would call us back.
This is the same kind of runaround that you get if you need service on your equipment. You also have to pay by check.
Of course they kept billing us, even though our unit was disconnected and taking space in our garage. Finally I called and told hem that I would certify a letter notifying them of demand to pick up, and then their unit would be placed in the street. They came out the next day. They are still sending us bills…
