Didn’t catch groomers name, but she had an Eastern European (?) accent – she did a phenomenal job on my pup’s nails. He’s usually very timid and a little tooth showy, but she put him at ease immediately and got him in and out super quickly. They also carry his wet food which is not the easiest brand to find at a very competitive price. Will definitely be back!

This groomer does a great job on my big old mutt. I like their appointment system so my dog is not hanging out in a cage all day. The staff is very knowledgeable and they really do care about the dogs who come through the door. Highly recommend!

Kelly the owner takes such great care of our dog Coco! Her groomers are very kind to the animals coco is happy to see them when she gets there. The best part your dog doesn’t have to sit in the cage all day coco is finished within two hours. Plus she has gluten free dog food!

They truly love their work & clients! I bring my cat here and due to time constraints decided to bring my dog (loving, friendly pitbull) to them for a bath. They treated him so well and made him look so handsome! I plan to be a regular.

This is hands down the BEST place to get your pet food and even vitamins. The owner, along with the staff, are so knowledgeable and patient in explaining various dog foods and solutions. I stopped in there on a whim, and it was 10 minutes before their closing time. The owner stayed with me an additional 40 minutes and explained so many things to me. She even gave me samples of various limited ingredient dog foods, so that I could try them out at home and see which one my four legged baby likes. I will never go to Petsmart again. Support your local business, and if you have a pet, I highly recommend this place. There just aren’t enough adjectives to express how wonderful they are!

My small shih tzu has food allegies and they have a good selection of foods for her specific diet. The owners are really knowledgable and care about their customers.
I also come here to get my dogs groomed (both shih tzus) and they did a good job. They also cleaned out their ears and eyes well.
I plan on coming back again.

I have lived in las vegas for just over 2 years and have been to many groomers looking for the right one. We found her! Right here in summerlin, close to home. The girls look great and were happy.

We loved this place. Kelly was so helpful, and Ashley did a great job grooming Bella. Ashley listened to what I asked for, and despite the fact I thought my dog was going to look like a POW (I needed her shaved down,) she was GORGEOUS. She did have one bloody toenail, but people need to get over that. I’ve done it myself — hence «cut to the quick.» Put some styptic on it and move on.
Kelly took the time to talk to us about pet foods, and gave us samples to try with our pets (we have cats too) and overall, this place is stellar. I bought treats for my dog, and she loves them. We will definitely be going back. Don’t let those nasty pictures on here fool you. I was completely happy and found a place (and I am PICKY) we will continue to go to.

This review is long over due ! Not happy with the way I heard one of the groomers speaking to a dog being groomed. That should of been a red flag to begin with. Last holiday season I was visiting a a close relative in the summerlin area during some time off from work and I decided to bring my terrier with me on vacation. She really needed a bath and hair cut badly so I found K9s through Unilocal.When talking to the groomer that would be working on my dog that day it seemed as if they were only half way listening to my requests and I felt shooed away with out finishing my last sentence about my dogs hair cut. Which probably explains why her ears were so uneven when she was given back to me. When i took her home i could see red marks all over her private area ! My poor baby was so irritated. Not to mention 2 of her nails were cut too far back and they let me know its not a big deal and that it happens all the time. Yea OK! I will never ever bring my dog back to this place even if it is for an emergency out of state grooming

A friend told me about this place, and I had to check it out. No more chain pet food stores for our cats. It’s a cute little shop, with friendly service. There are so many choices in food for cats and dogs.
They offer natural-​organic and holistic foods. We were so surprised at how reasonably priced the food is. Our cats love the brand we chose. This is now our go-​to pet food store.

I have been to this store a few times and it’s a very nice little store. The prices are high but I save gas so it works out. The groomers are all very nice and they all seem to know what they are doing. I haven’t taken my dog in for grooming yet but from what I have seen they do a good job. The reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because the owner at first lied about being the owner and she can use some classes in customer service. Second one of the groomers I thought smelled like she had maybe been drinking prior to coming to work.

The staff has been so great! Our dog just jumps into the groomers arms and doesn’t even seem to miss us for the hour she is there. They do a great job and always let us know about when to come back and pick her up (and they call if they happen to be done any sooner). Even squeezed us in for a same-​day appointment. $ 40 for bath/​nails/​haircut and she looks adorable!

The response from Kelly G. below merely entertains conjecture from dog owners, not veterinarians. I can assure the reader that my dog had neither bug bites or ringworm.

K-​9 & Kitty’s has been my groomer for about 2 years now. I have tried others in the area, but haven’t found anyone better as of yet. They always do a good job and I seldom can’t get in on short notice.
The groomers do a good, but not great job. My dogs always seem to be itchy after a grooming, so I always remind the groomers to rinse they extra well, but half the time they don’t.
Wishing I could find a better place, but this is the best I’ve found in the area of Desert Shores and Summerlin.

Great service, our dog LaLa looked terrific! We’ll be coming back again.
P. S. There is no 40% fee.

Went in during the weekend to pick up some dog food. The store front is in a very convenient location and well maintained. The food was priced a bit over our regular store but only by a few bucks so no big deal. They had all kinds of unique treats and we couldn’t help but pick up a few for our pup. She loves them by the way. The reason I’m only leaving three stars is because of one of the groomers thought it was appropriate to trash talk some of their clients to the other workers. I find that to be extremely distasteful. Don’t do that in front of potential customers!

I have been a customer of K9’s and Kitty’s for quite some time. I love the selection of products available and that my questions are handily answered by the knowledgeable staff.
Speaking of the owner and staff, I truly appreciate the regard that they have for their customers. If the phone rings while I am at the counter with cash in hand and places to be, I come first before vendors, family, friends or telephone solicitations. A real plus for any business I give my loyalty to. Further, I must take exception to a recent reviewers personal attack on Jennifer. It is suspect that the rudeness and personal nature of the comments given were due to the callers inability to manipulate and bully the employee. One can express concern without hostility, insult and hurtful commentary. Frankly it speaks loudly to the character of the caller, not the employee.
I have always found Jennifer to be beyond polite, knowledgeable and friendly. These qualities are true of all of the employees.
A perfect choice for all of your pet care needs.

I buy my cat food here and the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. They have a large variety of natural products and are nearby my folks.
Have been meaning to review them for a while & then saw the personal attack on Jennifer that I felt was extremely suspect and IMHO unwarranted.
Additionally to purchasing kitty products here, I do quite a bit of dog sitting and have purchased outfits (don’t judge, my gf’s Toy Pom has Alopecia) nice selection and again, super helpful.
An example of above and beyond customer service comes to mind 2 years ago when I was doggy sitting for the Poms while their CSAR Air Force family were in town for the funeral of their best friend at Nellis. Their Mama had been at Bethesda holding the hand of their best friend for a month until he passed from injuries sustained attempting a rescue in Afghanistan. Both pups were in dire need of a grooming with no notice. My go to spot & this place were both booked solid. They were so moved by the story that both found room for the girls. Only timing made me choose another spot.
Due to years of patronage and never experiencing even a sideways glance… I feel secure in suggesting this as a fine spot to patronize and entrust the tummies and fur of your four legged family members to. Without a doubt.

we came here to get some natural dog treats and snacks, plus his raw food frozen patties! We also get his Yogurt Ice Cream that he likes so much, the Blueberry&Vanilla and the Apple Cheddar. They also bake fresh snacks for the animals, so we buy fresh baked biscuits and snack for him as a treat when we go there! They have raw food diets for both cats and dogs! The staff there is really nice and really love animals. We take him inside and they all love him!
This place is a grooming service as well as a Doggy Day care. We pay them $ 8 to file down his nails. thats pretty cheap if you ask me and its done in five minutes! They give him a good boy treat after he’s done!
I recommend this service to anyone with a pet! Give it a try…
