When we were looking for our home, we were having trouble with finding a reliable team to help us with the process. We went through a few agents who were putting us low on the priority– calling back 2 – 3 later when we needed to ask something or schedule a appointment. A few wouldn’t even take my call– probably want only big commission homes. Our original loan officer was very brisk and wouldn’t really want to explain anything to my BF. That didn’t make us feel comfortable knowing that we don’t know what’s going on and are a nuisance for wanting to know. This is a 30 year commitment and it’s our money she’s punching numbers on so we deserve an explanation. We decided to drop her and we were at square one again. The BF asked around for recommendations and people at work introduced Jose. Jose broke everything down and helped you understand the whole process. It’s important to ask questions and get answers when it comes to such a big commitment and being first time buyers One unique thing is that instead of trying to work us into a box to meet him at his office during office hours, he’ll meet you somewhere to talk. Scott works swing so it’s rather awkward to coordinate so he drove to where my BF works instead. He didn’t mind at all. He also is one to take all loans, big or small. He was very personable too so you feel comfortable around him and that he’s not just about«the business». He checked on us after we got into the house to see if all is good as well. We recently went back to him to talk about adjusting our interest rate and he gave good advice about it… right time came so we decided to do it. With an FHA loan, you can pay a fee to have the house adjusted to the current interest rate. Now at a percent lower, we’ll be saving a few hundred a month… Yay! So far, we’ve recommended him to friends, family, coworkers, and even some Unilocalers. A few have used him and seems like there was no issues since they’re all sitting in their new homes now too. Highly recommend to give him a call or try emailing him at . Don’t try random brokers off ads– you might end up as frustrated as we were finding most weren’t very good. If you need a agent too… try either Jose’s wife– Desiree Ortega from Elite Realty or use our agent Sue Pyne at Realty One Group(see my review for her). Just go to the good guys already and save yourself the hair pulling.
