Jiffy Smog

Before I could even fully get out of my car, the worker was already checking my VIN and getting my license plate info. She entered all my information into the computer, hooked everything up for the smog test, and quickly asked me if I wanted her to do the registration renewal right away. I did, and within 6 minutes of pulling into the station I was back on the road heading home. GREAT service.

Wonderful customer service! (I forgot to get his name) The whole process took less than 10 minutes for my Smog check. I never left my car. I usually have to wait inside for a long period of time for other places. I would definitely return next year and recommend the service to friends and family. I had no problems renewing my registration online. (I opted out of the $ 10 option to have them renew online because I am used to paying the registration fee online myself).

I have resorted to getting coupons in the mail and waiting long periods of time just to save on a smog check. I paid $ 16 for the test and left a $ 2 tip. The tech was friendly and extremely fast. It was worth it.

Every year we have to be legally extorted by the state by having our vehicle pass a test to show it is not emitting noxious fumes into the atmosphere. Might as well select Jiffy Smog to do that for you. The convenience factor alone is worth the trip. You can find a Jiffy Smog in just about every part of the valley for one. Also they accept competitors coupons to add more value to the transaction. Most locations will give you a free car wash at the service station they reside near. The car wash at this location sucks in my opinion. It is a brush less one with too short a timer on the dry setting to make it worth your while.

I would give them less than 1 star if I could. I went there for a smog check and they said that I could just renew my registration there for only $ 10. So I thought why not save myself the trip. Anyway it was June 5^th and I had until the end of June 19^th and the renewal said 7 – 10 days for sticker to be mailed. The guy at the station assured me that even if the sticker came late it wouldn’t be an issue. So I went for it. Huge mistake… do not ever consider renewing your registration there. I not only didn’t receive my sticker in the mail. I had to go to the dmv to get a new one. So I not only had to wait in line at the dmv but I had to pay another $ 6 for a duplicate sticker. The lady at the dmv said that many people have come in with the same issue specifically from jiffy smog. So I wouldn’t go there and I will tell everyone I know not to as well. Shame on you!

It was a quick enough service. The technician was knowledgeable enough. The reason it lost a few stars is because the zip zap auto in the same plaza is about five dollars cheaper and they do free retests.

Attendant was friendly, quick, and had great customer service. Will be back because of Mike!
