Wow. Please note it took this guy 8 MONTHS to respond!!! Seems like you blame the customer for your poor communication and service. Shame on you! I am a nurse and have no clue what is going on at the Los Angeles port. I only respond to this to warn others of this place. No matter the concessions or how much I spent you did not make it right. An ethical business does not look for ways to blame the customer. They apologize and make it right. I will not be responding further to your poor unethical responses. I think there are enough poor reviews to support my point and steer other hard working people away from this company.

Before you start reading, I apologize in advance for the length of the review. but entire team was simply out of this universe!
Prior to discovering the House of Window Coverings, I had dealt with a handful of other companies with each improving in small increments.
The team at HWC created an experience out of an appointment and it didn’t stop after I paid my bill. Wow!
I was most impressed with how the team wanted to know about me, my likes, my dislikes, even where I had travelled. At first I thought it was strange but later realized that those things influenced the decision.
I thought I knew exactly what I wanted until Christopher, one of the owners, showed up at my loft downtown. He first listened and took a look around. As expected, he showed me what I had in mind but then also made a few recommendations, most of which were things that I thought would never work. I was wrong. I’m so happy I listened to his expertise! The place looks great!
Between the selection & installation, I received a card in the mail wishing me a happy birthday. What a crazy surprise that the team is that on point!
Fast forward to the installation process, the team was on time and worked incredibly efficiently. Of course it looked better once they were finished but the place was left spotless, which I didn’t necessarily expect.
A few weeks after the install Sonya followed up with me to see how everything went and how things turned out. Wow! Talk about a customer eccentric company!
All in all, House of Window Coverings can be summed up very easily: Unexpected Pleasure. The team was great and went above and beyond in all aspects. If you need anything windows related, this should be your first stop in Vegas. Don’t waste time with others.

Just received a reply on my initial review and they implied that I received our window coverings complimentary? Not true… we paid every dime we were charged. Also, sounds like Susan is a common problem. Hopefully they got rid of her! I would never use this company or recommend to anyone!

I just wanted to take the time to THANK House of Window Coverings! My shutters were installed yesterday, and I absolutely LOVE THEM! I’m so excited… They look absolutely beautiful! From start to finish, their designer Susan and the rest of their staff were professional, prompt, and thorough. Susan was amazing… She was on top of things through the whole process. I was very impressed with their installers as well. I’m so happy with the outcome. I would recommend House of Window coverings to anyone. THANK YOU! My shutters are gorgeous!

Great experience from the start. We got the whole home 2.5″ blinds special. Phil came to the house to measure, Brandon finished and placed the order in store. Was told 2 – 3 weeks until install, and Phil was there in 2 and a half weeks to do the installation. Phil was professional, efficient and took all of the boxes with him as he left. Good work!

First off, my order was not ordered correctly, 4 different attempts and several months to get it right. Each time I had to call to find out what status my «order» was in, only to be told, «oh yeah, it’s here. We need to schedule a time to install». They were never pro-​active in scheduling or making sure my order was correct before the appointment. I complained on many occasions and asked for a discount for the poor customer service. They gave me $ 150 off a $ 3,500.00 order, seriously?! I will certainly never use them again or recommend them to anyone… and I live in a brand new community where my neighbors are looking for referrals.

This company is very unreliable and they out right lie! Appointment for Susan was set on 1÷14÷16 to arrive at my house on 1÷18÷16 at 12 noon, at 12:10pm no Susan. I then called the office and they said she could not find the street and my voice mail box was full! Total B/​s. They said she can’t come now and we have to reschedule. What poor customer service as I was going to be a first time client will not use them going forward and I will continuously cautions others from using their services also. Really needs zero stars!

Maybe someone could answer their phone or even call you back?! NOPE.
They took $ 650 from me and sent some guy over to my house to measure and he took 4 of my other blinds and all blinds are missing and no word from anyone! I have called and called and called.
I have a receipt for the new blind they charged me $ 650 for and never installed. Robbery.
I will never use this company again, be warned!

House Of Window Coverings were extremely professional during my evaluation process of looking yo secure renovations for my home. The customer service was amazing and I appreciated the honest feedback on recommendations for my home. The wallpaper and blinds were amazing. I was thrilled with the finished product. Support local business! House Of Window Coverings is the place!

OMG I would give this a negative 5 if possible!!! Please see Kenneth D’s review because I’m just going to add to that. The worst experience ever for a brand new home. Almost ended in court with this company. Ordered valances just like the items in store, totally not what we wanted & took 8 weeks and had a half order! Come to find out was told they ran outta fabric., really!!! DONT SAY WE DIDNT WARN YOU! *find another company

We went to House of Window Coverings looking for something to use on our 12 ft. slider for our new house.
Jan was very helpful and her suggestions proved to be excellent. We ended up buying HunterDouglas Applause shades and they are the best. They shades are elegant and functional.
Joe came to measure and installed the shades efficiently and very quickly.
Jan was a pleasure to work with texting me back and forth and answering my phone calls very promptly. Wonderful service. Thank you!

Chris came over to give an estimate and showed up with a lousy attitude because he didn’t think the work that needed to be done would be worth it. I should have asked him to leave right then and there but I really wanted the blinds installed asap. His attitude changed once the total cost of the job started to exceed $ 600. I ordered the blinds and they were installed (the installer was a really nice guy, btw) but I should have shopped around. I feel like I overpaid for a bunch of cheap plastic.

Horrible, horrible experience! The salesperson ordered our shutters incorrectly. I opted for the invisible tilt, which was clearly written on the invoice. During the installation, I noticed the mistake. I called the salesperson immediately, and he never once apologized for his mistake. He did not seem to care. He tried to offer me a discount (which was not much more than I had to pay for the invisible tilt upgrade). I had him reorder our shutters and never agreed to pay the final payment since the shutters were incorrect. The salesperson said he placed the new order and it would take another 6 weeks.
At the end of the week, my credit card was charged for the final payment. I called 3 times before I was able to speak with anyone regarding the charge. And their excuse was «Oh I’m sorry that was my mistake. I was not aware there was a problem with installation.» Hard for me to believe when my new order was supposedly already placed a few days prior. I was refunded the payment.
6 weeks later the correct shutters were finally installed. I never received any apology for their mistake or for having to wait an additional 6 weeks before I got what I wanted. I would not recommend this company.

I’m upgrading this to a 4 star review. After having received the Costco product very late, and having had some of them done wrong, they worked with us to make sure things got done the way we wanted. It took quite a while, but we did get what we thought we hoped to.
The bottom line is that despite having problems, they worked very hard to see that we were satisfied customers.
And the shutters that were 5 star are STILL 5 star!

While I still feel good about the quality of work with House of Window Coverings, I’ve been less than thrilled with subsequent attempts to get additional work done. I twice emailed my rep and got one word responses or very little helpful information. She just seemed like she doesn’t want my business or is disinterested. I am seeking out a new company for my remaining work. Disappointed with the service.

Great company. We had Chris the owner come out last year to give us an estimate. He is very professional, and knowledgeable. 5 – 6 weeks after we had 3 installers from normative on time and did their job very quiet and fast. Shutters were installed on 15 windows, some were tricky half moon and round shaped, but they look amazing. I hate sun screens, they look so ugly, shutters made a great difference and gave our home a sophisticated look. Will recommend this company to everybody as high quality and very professional.

Worst purchase experience ever. This was a whole house purchase not a small job. Seven months after purchase and still not resolved. 100 percent of our contract price collected without our approval. Wrong blinds order; blind ordered without our approval. Salesperson was unresponsive to our issues. Owner evidently refuses to talk with us and resolve the remaining issue. A $ 2500 slider Luminette hangs improperly, has gaps in the pleats, uneven pleating in open position, top corner is folded over and does not lay flat, end bunches into layers instead of hanging evenly, the end does not cover the motor box and it’s wires are exposed. The window is exposed on that end. Hunter-​Douglas was consulted, supposedly a new blind was manufactured except it has the same flaws. The before and after pictures show the issues.
This is the third home we have Hunter Douglas window coverings. We know the product well. Our original purchases 20 years ago still hang in beautiful condition in that house. The problem is the seller not the product.
After months of phone calls and emails, two refunds were issued. We now have no master room shade, several pleated blinds we did not order, three of one kind of shade and a fourth that doesn’t match in one room, and a large $ 2500 shade that looks very unattractive. The company says that the manufacture is now responsible. Their response is questionable as this issue remains unresolved. Since house of window coverings has had our money since early December 2013, the owner of hwclv is responsible. Sadly, very poor customer treatment.

We are so thrilled with the service and window treatments that were just installed today. From the moment we walked into the showroom to installation our experience has been exceptional. Our designer, Jan Rohl, spent the time to help us determine styles and fabrics that would work perfectly in our home and she really took the time to get to know us so she could make the best recommendations. We have many other projects in our new home and will make Jan and the House of Window Coverings our go to designer and showroom

Sales woman ordered wrong blinds for us and then tried to guilt us into keeping them because she said the cost would come out of her pocket!
This is the worst buying experience I have had in at least 10 years! Julie Gugino, blind consultant, came to our brand new house to measure for blinds. I told her that the most important thing for us was to have the CORDLESS blinds and we picked out and ordered $ 2900 worth of CORDLESS blinds from her.
When the installer came to the house (the first time), he told my husband that he was missing something and would be right back. Well, he came back more than 5 hours later when we were not home! We rescheduled and then he came with blinds that ALL had cords!
We told him that the blinds were not right and to take them back. He said he would just go ahead and put them up because the hardware would be the same and it would be easy to swap out them out when the correct ones had been made.
A couple of days later (today), I received a call from Julie Gugino telling me that she had been the one to make the mistake when she submitted the order. She asked what she could do to make us happy and we told her to get us the blinds that we ordered and paid for! She sounded like she was crying and told me that she was going to have to eat the cost for her mistake! Frankly, I could care less! She wanted to try to guilt me into keeping the blinds that I did not want! When I told her to call me when they are ready for installation, she hung up without even saying goodbye!
House of Window Coverings was referred to me by Costco and I have now called Costco as well to tell them that they should NEVER recommend this VERY unprofessional business to anyone. I will be receiving a call back within 48 hours from one of the Costco special services managers.
