Goodwill of Southern Nevada

This is a fun place to shop. On a budget, Goodwill is the place to go. I have gotten unused designer clothing, with old tags on for such a low price I had to look twice.
The have specials everyday of the week so we are all covered.
Monday: 25% off w/​Military ID that includes Veterans.
Tuesday 25% off casino employee ID or Players Card. Also Teacher/​Student ID
Wednesday 50% off Seniors.
Thursday: 25% off Albertson’s Receipt, Public Servants (Only Police, Firemen and EMT’s).
Friday: Goodwill Receipt from previous week.
EXCEPTIONS: Yellow, Red & Black tag items not included in sales discounts and can’t be combined.
There are other tag specials, all you have to do is ASK!
With all these chances of saving we all fit in somewhere and it eases our budgets. And there is a wide variety of toys, shoes, clothing and much, much more.

Im not sure what the reviews are about pricing by the pound here. I went to this location as it was a regular Goodwill.
It was the fist time I visited this location. The prices are a tad on the high side which is a concern, but the store was well organized and the staff was friendly.
I did happen to find some serious designed garb including a Zegna sweater ($ 6), a Tehari vest ($ 4), a pair of brand new Cole Haan shoes ($ 7) and a really cool Energie shirt made in Italy for $ 6. The staff was friendly and the store was very organized.

I am not a fan of Goodwill putting Red Tags (merchandise which regular sales and discounts does not apply) on certain items. Okay I get the concept of an item having more of a «value» then other items, such as a designer coat or a set of brand new china… but I see Red Tags on items that any other thrift store would mark as regular items. For example I saw a pair of Old Navy jeans Red Tagged at $ 19.99! Are you shit*ing me?!? WTF was that all about.
Oh, and I find it amusing that ANYTHING leather, fake leather, pleather, suade (no matter the quality) gets a Red Tag. WHY?!? Wilson’s Leather at ANY outlet offers deep discounts on their crap… but at Goodwill it’s treated and marked as top quality merchandise. Even in summer! Hey Goodwill! Who do you think is going to pay top dollar for a crappy Wilson’s leather jacket in July when it’s 100+ degrees out?!? Answer: Nobody.
I should not complain because I often see High End merchandise that is not as well known (Theory, Tibi, Canali, Lanvin, Jil Sander, Kenzo) marked as regular merchandise and Goodwill’s «perception» of High End stuff (Lucky Brand, Reaction, Tommy Hilfiger, A/​X) is red tagged. So I’ll keep taking advantage of this. This is actually why I love coming here… a true bargain hound can sniff out the good deals.
