Went to the pool today with my gf to relax and get some sun but, little did I know how hung over I was going to be from last night so there was no relaxing for me. I started to feel very sick and dizzy like I was going to faint trying to make it to the restroom to puke and find water then this angel lifeguard by the name Nikita(Nakita? or however you spell it) came to the rescue and brought me all the necessities to hydrate cool down and feel alright. She was a super sweetheart and she deserves major abundance. Also the pool was sweet! Love the slide going through the shark tank.

Get to the pool at 8 am when they open the doors to reserve a lounger if you want a specific area or chairs. The hotel provides towels, just look for the yellow/white striped ones in the cart. Put the towel on the lounger you want, with a personal item on it, and it’s yours for the day, no charge! Great service by the waitresses. Mixed drinks were $ 8.50, think beer was $ 5. Never even get out of your lounger if you don’t want to. Slide thru the shark tank is free, I did it 3 times and it was a bit of fun. Pool is great with a large shaded area to get out of the sun for a while. It was 109 degrees the day we were there so the shade came in handy. There are blackjack tables adjacent to the pool if you want to play in a unique setting. Music was good all day, and not obnoxiously loud.

Had dinner at Vic & Anthony’s and we loved it, huge lobster tails and big steaks, go for it. It was punk rock bowling week so the crowd was interesting to say the least but all were partying and dancing pool side(there was a DJ) and the drinks were flowing, great vibe, they even have table games on the pool deck. You must see the pool with the awesome shark tank that you can slide thru, oh yeah, very cool. Other than the obnoxious ego maniac at one of the restaurants, won’t say which, you will know him when you see him, we like the Nugget

Unless you are staying there, and can get in line half an hour before the pool opens, don’t bother. We were there half an hour after it opened on Saturday morning, paid $ 60 for the two of us, and could find nowhere to sit; not even the side of the pool. Stupid me thought since they were open to the public there would be lockers. The best suggestion was to leave our bag at the hotel desk. The pool is tiny, the slide is short, and the number of chairs inadequate. We were there half an hour and gave up. I console myself by imagining the money will go toward the health and safety of the fish.

The only thing cool is the slide through the shark tank. Theres a jacuzzi as well. I was told there was suppose to be a lazy river but there isnt one. Its kinda lame.

Interesting pool and for sure you must get in if you are at Vegas. But if you want to take only the slide, is going to be pricy. It only takes like a second to go through the tank. The tank is nice and the sharks may scare you but it’s really a nice concept :) the good part is that you can have shade while swimming. It’s also not cold. They can lend you some towels. I wish they could also give you shampoo for the showers if you’re going just for a dive haha. The not so good part is that it gets crowdy.

What a great pool to lounge in! The shark tank was beautiful to look at and fun to swim around. The water slide was really neat too. More than enough lounge chairs available and even some in the water that was really nice! Would def like to come back!(should also note: I came here in the month of August during the week and it wasn’t over crowded at all).

Went to the Hideout Pool, and it was a lot of fun. There was a DJ there named Jeremy Espinosa. He was playing a great mix of music, and had the crowd really into it. The pool was a perfect temperature, and depth for relaxing, or dancing.

The pool wasn’t as big as I thought it would be, but with it’s three story slide that passes through a shark tank it’s a great kid-friendly destination in Downtown. I was there this past summer with a bunch of other families and all the parents and kids had a great time. It helped that we hung out at a couple cabanas on the third level right by the entrance of the slide. It did get crowded in and around the pool, but having the cabanas help make it feel less so. I’m also a fan of the large margaritas and the surprisingly good pizza.

Very nice pool, and water slid. Not so much for swimmers, but get the fun done.

I spent 4 days at the Hideout Pool this trip to Las Vegas. The only issue I had was the stairs getting a little crowded on the way to the Hideout Pool when there is a line to the water slide. What makes the Hideout Pool so great for me is the service. I got great service when I was there last year and this time around was no exception. One of the servers even remembered me from last year. It was extremely busy on the Saturday of the Labor Day weekend and I was impressed with both servers in how they handled the large crowd. They are both welcoming and attentive in what’s going on around them and made me feel like a friend rather than a customer. I also had no issue getting served regardless of how busy it was. See you next time I’m in Las Vegas!

Brought my two year old here a few weeks ago. The shark tank in the middle of the pool is really neat, and the cabanas are nice. Also, it was pretty kid friendly in that there was quite a bit of shallow water for them to romp in. However, the water was extremely cold, which was worsened by the fact that the pool area is very hot and humid. Also, the concrete is so slippery, it’s like walking on ice. I saw a number of people fall pretty hard on it. Looking through the reviews, this is not a new problem. It’s pretty irresponsible of the casino to ignore it. And then parking is terrible and getting from the garage to the pool is pretty annoying. Overall, just okay. I probably wouldn’t return.

Swimming with the sharks. Well, not really, but you kind of feel like you are with the large aquarium filled with sharks and other large fish in the middle of the pool. Just a beautiful and fun pool. We loved it. The kids seemed to love it. We didn’t get a chance to go down the slide that goes right through the shark tank(maybe next time), but the aquarium, the waterfalls, and it’s, I don’t know, «vintage» look, made the Golden Nugget’s pool an instant favorite.

Ugh. Too crowded, barely any direct sun, tons of kids peeing in the pool. The Sharks were cool but then you realize how small the tank is and it’s kinda a bummer. Get out there by 9 am if you want a chair. Not impressed. Why so highly Unilocaled?

The highlight of this pool is the water slide through the shark tank. It’s a quick, short slide, but pretty cool. I also really like just chilling in the pool looking at all the sharks and fish. It’s a small-ish pool, but the aquarium view is hard to beat. There’s also the Hideout, which is an 18+ pool. It’s also small, but nice when it’s not crowded as it provides an opportunity to escape all the families and small children. The big reason for not ranking higher with me, is how crowded the main pool can get and how many unattended children are running around. It’s open to locals for a cost(which seems to increase every year). If you can come by when it’s not overly crowded, it’s pretty awesome. In the off-season/off-time, you can venture out here for no cost. It’s a fun, nighttime spot to dip your feet and have a drink.

Lots of people complained about water quality, but I didn’t experience that issue. I used to lifeguard too, so I know more about chlorine levels and cloudy water than I would even care to admit. The line for the water slide was never more than 5 or 6 people even though it was over 80 degrees. You can take the elevator or stairs to reach the slide. Chairs are definitely close together and hard to come by, but I didn’t mind as I tend to drop my stuff and swim anyway. Cocktail waitresses seemed prevalent compared to other pools I’ve visited. Overall, I had a good experience, it sinks other people seemed to feel otherwise.

Darn it! Why oh why did I not read the reviews here before going??? SHAMEONME! I was unaware the adult section upstairs was more than a bar! It would have been really nice to find an adults only section for swimming & relaxing. When I first got there around 10 or so on Monday(3÷16÷15), I was able to snag a couple front row loungers but when we came back from lunch, the downstairs was PACKED and it was hard to find a spot! The loungers are literally right next to each other so you better hope your neighbor doesn’t smell. Zero cocktail service when I was there — I saw the gals walking around but they never came to my section. The walk up bar was fast and I think I paid $ 12 for a not so boozy piña colada — when in Rome though right? I did go in the pool to check out the tank — I’m not going to lie, it’s pretty sweet. The pool water looked clean to me when I was frolicking around in it. Sadly, I didn’t do the slide… the little kids were LOVING it though — they kept coming back to the parent to fill them in on how awesome it was and all the fish they saw. There are a few gaming tables outside — they fill up fast so you better be ready to play right when they set up. You cannot bring in outside food or drinks(they’ll check your bag and your key card at the door). Towels are in a brown bin under the lifeguard stand by the walk up bar. There are no signs. Bathrooms are around the back of the shark tank — again, no signs.

Shark tank, water slide, alcohol and a smoking hot date! What more can you ask for!!! So why only the three stars you ask? Let me explain. 1. They don’t start letting people in the water until 10 am. But make sure you get to the pool earlier so you can snag chairs. The bf and I got down to the pool at 9:30 am and were lucky enough to find a whole row that hadn’t been occupied. People showing up at 10 am weren’t so lucky. 2. People aren’t even in the water yet, but why is the water already murky? Gross! Sunscreen, oils, sweat, pee… a big stew of humans. 3. Our cocktail server was no where to be found. She did bring us a menu but never came back to take our order. So I just went to the bar and ordered. The skinny cucumber vodka drink and a turkey sandwich set me back $ 22 plus tip. I expected it since we were at a pool. Both were really good for being pool food. I even got another drink and was pretty tipsy by the time we left. 4. They don’t check your bags when you enter the pool. The bf went back upstairs to the room and loaded the back pack with beers, juice and more vodka from our cooler. So needless to say, we were both pretty tipsy. The water slide was pretty fun though. There were a bunch of kids waiting in line though. Only reason we went in the water at all was because it was scorching hot. There was also an adult pool where you could rent daybeds and cabanas without the loud noise from kids.
