1/​3/​16-​I enjoyed the Xmas light display. We went on the last day and arrived 20 minutes before closing, it was the perfect way to end our vacation.
There was one car with their lights on tailgating us, so husband motioned for them to pass. After that it was so relaxing as xmas music filled the car as we drove through the various light displays at a leisurely pace. We did catch up to another car and their brake lights took away from the display, so we waited until they were out of view before continuing the drive.
I’m so glad that the different businesses set up the lights because they were different xmas themes and different styles to keep the drive interesting.

Perfect for holidays with out of town family! Make sure to check their site for special deal days. They donate a lot to local organizations and the whole family will love it. Make sure to follow their directions to enter on the correct side or you will drive around for awhile before getting to the right side! A must see for the holidays in Vegas

Glittering Lights is a family tradition for us but this year was a rather less then satisfying and enjoyable.
We have had better experiences with glittering lights! Not to mention, THE TRAFFIC & the lack of traffic directing skills. Yes people, there are universal signs to direct traffic so stop making CRAP up! No one else will understand the crap you make up & the drivers will have to guess. (I am glad I guessed correctly or I would be down a car)
Poor hiring this year! Seemed to be a bunch of kids everywhere with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILL what so have you! Employees sparking cigarettes up while attempting to poorly direct traffic. Actually being told to hurry my car thru on more then one occasion with those stupid night wands that no one used properly, Dammit I paid my $ 20 to be there so I will drive to my leisure besides, ITS RUDE TO RUSH YOUR CUSTOMERS!
Seemed to be the only person who was pleasant was the person who collected my MONEY (well surprise, surprise I think NOT!) Shape it up guys, would be sad to drop a great tradition all based off of the lack of professionalism on the business aspect of it all.

What a huge disappointment! Lights looked store bought… Nothing special! Better displays in neighborhoods. The business advertising signs made it even worse! This was so unnecessary. This event is raising money to donate so these businesses should have donated their time and lights without having to get exposure for their business. Shame on them. Where’s their holiday spirit? I was visiting my family and this was suppose to be something special. Can’t believe all the hype. Expected more, especially being in Las Vegas.
Don’t waste your time, 1 hour in traffic waiting to get in, and $ 20 a car to look at ugly business plaques lite up by flood lights and less then average light displays. Hopefully my donation will go to someone that needs it.

What is everybody talking about? Are you people blind? I finally got a chance to see this display and was so excited. Then I had to wait an hour in line, smelling exhaust. That was the fun part because I was talking with my family, anticipating seeing a great Vegas light show. I thought $ 20 wasn’t bad since it was for the whole carload and it was going to charity– giving money to charity is the ONLY thing I feel good about that night!
After going through an arch of lights I was expecting a great light show to start, however I just saw a bunch of advertising. Some simple pre-​made light figures plopped on the concrete that anyone can buy at target or Kmart and a string of lights on the chain link fence next to it with a sign advertising a restaurant or other business next to it. The signs are illuminated by such bright floodlights that the Christmas lights are not even pretty. After driving through many of these «plots» of ads I was still waiting for the light show to start, when I realized — this was it. That’s what the entire show consisted of! What a rip off. Shame on you, businesses that didn’t donate your lights and time for free for charity!
Jeez, you would think someone in Vegas would know how to put up some great lights?! How embarrassing for our city. I’m sticking to driving through the neighborhood and watching YouTube videos of great light shows and I suggest you do to!

The traffic was a definite bummer! After waiting in line for an hour before even getting in the novelty of being there had definitely worn off. My daughter was fussy and my husband was irritable.
When we final «got in» we ordered some hot chocolate. Don’t! It was so watered down and gross.
If the process of getting in had been more organized it probably would have been a better experience. The lights are cool but it really just felt like we paid to sit in traffic.

OMG. If you are a girl aged 4 – 11 without an I-​Phone, you’ll go apeshit.
Unfortunately I’m not.
Cool diversion, probably worth half the price, but I don’t want to be a Scrooge.

Kinda pissed off that the guy who let us in didn’t give us our drink voucher
and the boy scouts didn’t give us our hot chocolate (included in Groupon).

This was our first time and we enjoyed it. Our kids invited a couple of their friends and it’s still $ 20 for a truckload (carload). I paid $ 20 thru groupon to get the 4 free cups of hot chocolate with the ticket. We bought popcorn and away we went. Lights out listening to the Christmas music station… it was pretty cool. The people there were very friendly especially for how cold it was that night. We will do this again next year.

The worker at the final turn before paying ruined everything. The line was long on 12/​24/​2015 but we weren’t worried at first. It took 45min to reach the final turn before you pay. That was fine because the family was enjoying each other. The problem came when we got to the turn. The worker at the turn only wanted to let the left two lanes in and kept refusing the right lane (the lane I was stuck in). After 15min of waiting for him to finally let me go, he still was letting the other lanes go. I decided to turn around. He didn’t even want me to do that. Even after I turned around I saw he was still only letting the other lanes go. I am never going again. I would rather spend my money on gas and drive around Las Vegas and see the home lights.

If you like Christmas and helping out people in need.. .then this is the deal for you!!! =)
This was my first time and it was totally cool! =)
The price is for the car not per person.. .=) So since there were 2 of us in the car it was $ 10 per person. AND there is a Unilocal deal BUT if you donate to goodwill.. .you get $ 5 off. Good deal.. .=)
And as you are driving up.. .they tell you tune to a specific channel. Do it. .=) You get to listen to great holiday music as you drive through all the freaking awesome Christmas lights!!!
Make sure you bring some cash, as they had hot chocolate and apple cider for sale as well as some munchies. =) It was GREAT! =)
I will definitely do this again next year! What a great way for LVMS to spread the holiday cheer! =) Loved it! =)

We go to Las Vegas every year at Christmas time because we love to go look at the Christmas lights and we have been going to this the last few years.
It’s a large group of light displays that they put around the outside of the track of the speedway.
It’s all done by volunteers and the money goes to help people at Christmas time which is a good cause.
The Goodwill has a volunteer at the front who will gladly take a bag of gently used items for $ 5 off your entry of normally $ 20.
The only reason I don’t go 5 star is the bathroom was beyond disgusting. The toilets were all backed up and I didn’t even want to post that because it was so yucky.
They can’t get a sewer pumping company to donate there services and pump the toilets. Yuck!

If you want to see some christmas lights but want to stay warm, this is for you. It’s a drive thru. How convenient.
It’s about 20 minutes away from the main strip near race track/​stadium.
The cost is $ 20 but if you pay through Unilocal it’s$ 16. They also sell drinks and snacks. They have many sponsors which I think it’s awesome.
Some of the light decorations were neat like the square tunnel. They do ask you to turn off your headlights so drive carefully. You’ll see/​hear caroling as you enter the light entrance. Oh yeah, Unilocal was one of the sponsor too!
Be sure to use the bathroom before you come because you have to jump out and in as cars are slowly moving at the entrance. Not safe. Toilets don’t flush so it’s not a pretty sight.

It was ok. Nothing spectacular. There were some cool displays but for the most part it felt like one giant advertisement for all the businesses that assisted in the light display. My daughter thought it was cool but wasn’t overly excited with the lights except for the Shark Reef display and the fairy display. The radio station they recommend wasn’t consistent and kept going to some talk show so we shut it off. All in all Id say it was a $ 10 show.

A great holiday tradition for a most worthy cause. Sometimes the in-​speedway radio station is a little weak, but this can easily be overcome by tuning in to 106.5.

It’s a very Vegas lights. Advertising for all the stuff in Vegas. Good job though. I thought it was fun.

I love Christmas Lights! It gets me all giddy when it comes to the holidays. I was on vacation when my friends took us here during our last day of our trip. It’s a 2 ½ mile long road of shimmering bright Christmas Lights with different displays on both sides of the roadway. It’s drive thru so there’s no need to get out of the car. It was busy that night so it was a bumper to bumper drive but at least it gives people time to enjoy the lights while relaxing in the car. Although it is a bit pricey at $ 20 per vehicle to enter the Glittering Lights at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, it’s worth it especially if you have kids who’ll enjoy these moments.

Took our 2 year old to ride through. Had a great time. The radio station is not that great, so we turned to another station that played Christmas music. I love how everything is done from inside of your car, even snacks. Great treat.
But we only need to go once. Once you see it, that’s enough.

Visiting Las Vegas during Thanksgiving and I found a Groupon for the Glittering Lights at the Speedway. Bought that in seconds and I was so happy I did. This was the neatest thing ever!!! My boys loved it, as did I and the hub. Very unique thing to do. Wish our speedway locally did this too! So many pretty lights to drive through and see. I wish there were more but it is still really awesome as is. I would come back again if we were in town during the season.

The lights are very pretty and I was so happy to see a tribute to Paris. Big thumbs up on that part. It’s the same displays every year but still beat to look at and enjoy with the family.
$ 20 is a bit much for what it is but I’m glad you offer free military/​veteran entry on one night.
The only thing I don’t like about this is when other ride your ass when you are trying to enjoy it and they want to rush through it. You should be able to enjoy everything with a-​holes ruining the fun and experience.

This is a WOW improvement over the Sunset Park location, which was the last time we were there. Major issue to note. It took us over an hour to get in on December 20. Now, I realize that it was close to Christmas, plus a Saturday night, but holy moly, batman. I thought my kids would crawl out of the car to escape.
THEN, we got to the lights. Even my snotty pre-​teen forgot to act cool and ooood and ahhhhhed at the lights. It was a solid 30 minutes of lights. I don’t think you can see anything else like this in the U.S.
We will be back next year, but in November and one a Thursday night (or something).

A great way to start the holidays or to end them, the Glittering Lights show is a must see and worth the drive to the speedway. It is great they have hot chocolate and bottles of water up front. The Boy Scouts also gave out candy cane bites and a plastic rose? My toddler was happy with both.
Bathrooms are up front, so if you want to go, go before you start the course.
It is all driving in the car; no getting out.
We put our toddler in the front seat for the drive. It is slow and safe enough for this.
Lights are great and I saw some other Unilocalers were complaining about all the advertising. I did not find the advertising all that distracting. They give you a radio station you can tune into while driving so you have holiday music. Nice touch!

I’m not sure how long this has been at the speedway but it’s actually kinda awesome. I went tonight with the family and was blown away by the lights and the creativity of the show. I went a few years ago when it was a sunset park and this one blows away the old location.
We had a groupon and there was eight of us packed in a chevy suburban. Upon entering we got some hot cocoa, kettle corn, and some 2.00 funny bunny glasses that turns the light show into snow flakes. The light show is sponsored by local businesses around the valley. It takes about 15 minutes to drive around the speedway. I plan on doing this every year. See you next year light show. The end

I am so glad they do this at the Speedway instead of Sunset Park. This is so much better. Even though it is a little farther for me, it was well worth the drive.
I went on a Sunday night. I bought a Groupon and used a 15% off coupon code so I only paid $ 17 for this and it came with 4 free hot chocolates. They also gave out some gift bags for the kids but I am not sure what was in those because the kids took them and did what kids do. I only saw the leftover trash in my car.
The line was not very long so that was good. Everyone really enjoyed the displays, even the dog. I am not sure who is in charge of this but they should really get out there and get the casinos to get involved. I bet they would have some amazing displays.
The only thing that I just can’t figure out is the 23 MPH on the road leading up to the Speedway. I would love for someone to tell me how they came up with 23. Why not 20 or 25? How do you even know if you are going 23? Seriously the craziest thing I have seen in a while, but then again it is Vegas.

Circling around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is the holiday Glittering Lights. It’s a bit of a drive for most. I would have to admit though if it is your first time it is definitely worth it. A nice long leisurely cruise through sparkly lit holiday themes, sponsored by various local and not so local businesses. The kids are dazzled and awestruck by this attraction every single year. I can vouch as this is our 3^rd year enjoying it with our toddlers. Myself personally I have basically memorized the drive and attractions by now. Hey, if it works for the kids it works for me!
You can get kettle corn and hot chocolate or warm apple cider on your way in and there is a dedicated holiday music station for your cruise around the track and it all perks up the entire vehicle and really makes the experience complete. Speedway Children’s Charities is a part of the event and also Goodwill is taking donations to help the needy. Make sure to bring some of your extra clothing or jackets that you or your kids may have grown out of, since Thanksgiving, to donate.
Since you are not on a public road and everyone is moving slowly through the lights, I wouldn’t find anything wrong with hopping the kids out of their reverse facing seats or on your lap safely in the backseat to enjoy it. Although, I am not certain what the rules are on this. *Just keep them away from any airbags!* as you are slowly cruising with the lights off. And so is everyone else. We opted for the Season pass this year so we have an unlimited amount of runs. It’s the perfect thing to do if you want to take the family on a little drive.
