Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop

Love this place. The Mint Bliss is awesome. The servings are big enough to share. We used our $ 1 off a sundae from Unilocal and have gave us a $ 1 off of both. Servers were very friendly.

They have the best Sundaes’ and ice cream desserts at this chain. They have the best milkshakes around. Nothing special in particular about this spot. Just like the others, which is to say «amazing»

Awesome, the ice cream, smoothie, and people are fantastic! I would recommend this place for a nice relaxing break along the Strip!

The ice cream concoctions are pretty tasty and elaborate to say the least. You can tell that the quality of the ingredients are top notch. However, is it really worth the price? Or are we just paying a little extra for the name? I would say it’s the ladder of the two. Good desserts, but I’d say give this guy who grew up around the CPT half his life some Thirty’s ice cream and call it a day.

You’ll get the same chocolate and ice cream here as you would at any other Ghirardelli, but most of the time when you come in, you’ll have to sacrifice a good bit of your personal space. We managed to find enough space for ten people in the shop and everyone enjoyed what they ordered, especially the younger ones in our group.
We came in on a Tuesday night around 9 PM and there wasn’t too much room inside. Even if it was just my wife and I, we would have had a difficult time finding a place to sit. So if you come for some ice cream, don’t be surprised if you order and have to finish your dessert elsewhere. After the previous patrons got up, we cleaned the table ourselves and everyone had a seat but we were bumping elbows with the parties next to us and had other customers hovering over our table as they waited to place their order.
We ordered nine items and everything came out in a timely manner. Four of the orders were just single scoops of ice cream with total bill being $ 70. All of the sundaes are served in plastic cups instead of the customary sundae glasses with long spoons which even though they probably weren’t, makes it seem like the portions are smaller. I had the Ocean Beach which was s nice combination of vanilla ice cream, caramel, hot fudge, and sea salt. By the way, if you’re with a group and thinking about ordering the The Earthquake, don’t do it. We’ve done it before and it’s a sloppy mess and nowhere near worth the $ 30+ price tag.
There are better places for ice cream in the city but if you’re in the LINQ and just can’t get up and go elsewhere, Ghirardelli should work as long as you can handle the masses and elevated prices.

I’ve been to the Ghirardelli shop in SF and this one isn’t nearly as busy as that one. It’s like ¼ the size of the SF shop but still has the same vibe. I had the strawberry shake which was verrrrryyy thick and hard to drink at first until it melted a little. It was very sweet but satisfied me on a hot day. I forgot the name of the dessert I got but it came with 2 brownies and 2 scoops of ice cream. Brownies are very rich and thick. This is definitely a dessert to be shared with. The workers were very friendly and super helpful when it came to choosing what you wanted off the menu. Place was well kept and clean as well.

Can smell this little dream before you see if! Chocolate chocolate everywhere! And then that hard part of deciding what chocolate to pick! Luckily they have little boxes or bags you can fill with goodness to go! Do not miss this stop!

Terrible customer service! Employee asked for the next customer in line and did not wait for them to get to the counter and let someone cut in line. They knew that he cut in line, and when asked why they let him cut if they knew, the answer was they did not know how to tell him to go to the back of the line. Way to upset the other 6 people that were already in line.
They are skimpy with the toppings. The prices are so expensive (which I expected), but the least they could do is give enough toppings to last through the whole sundae instead of just the first few bites.

This place is what turned me on to salted caramel. I had a sundae that was so epic I took a picture, and I am not a person who usually photographs their food. I eat my food, and this was fantastic.
The store is a little small, but for the Linq, that’s to be expected. It was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The chocolate itself is a little expensive, but so worth it. I got two large bags of their chocolate for Christmas as a gift, and soundly demolished them within a few weeks (Would have been sooner, but I don’t want diabetes). One bag my family consumed within three days. The other I literally had to hide, that’s how good it is.
This is probably the best chocolate store on the strip. If you’re headed to or from the High Roller, don’t forget to stop here. It’s definitely worth it.

A family member was in town from out of state, so of course we were doing the touristy things on the strip — but were trying to carve a new path so we headed to the Linq. We had just enjoyed lunch at Guy Fieri’s, and walked down to the High Roller when my chocolate-​crazed husband suggested we pop into Ghirardelli — you know, just to look around. Right.
I wish I remembered the Manager’s name, because he really set the pace for customer service right when we walked in the door. He greeted us with a hearty ‘Hello welcome to Ghirardelli’ and handed us a sample to enjoy while we shopped. He explained the deal they were running and told us to let him know if we had any questions. All three of us commented on how friendly he was. We did ask questions about the best way to pack the ‘to-​go’ box, and he actually gave us some great tips on how to max out the space :)
We all got a shake, and they were delicious. Thick, creamy and perfectly chocolatey. We hung out inside while we enjoyed the shakes, and eventually tried to walk them off down the strip. We’ll be back. I hope the same manager is there, he was fantastic.

I’m a local, but I go to Ghiradelli whenever I’m at the Linq. The prices are pretty expensive, but it’s on the strip and higher end quality of ice cream, so it’s expected. I love trying out new flavors and floats.

This place is either heaven or hell for chocoholics. Great ice cream. Awesome chocolate squares and quite possibly the best sipping chocolate anywhere. I liked so much that I ordered another one for indulgence. It was cold in LV so the sipping chocolate served another purpose, other then to get me high. It’s possible! The staff is friendly and we were given a free sample of their latest mini squares, chocolate and caramel. OMG. All this talk of chocolate is getting me aroused… For more chocolate! Get your mind outta the gutter.

We had to stop in here since my husband and I loved the other locations (Monterey, San Francisco & Hollywood).
The other scoop shops in this chain offer dine in options with glassware, but this location only allows you to get your ice cream in plastic containers. Not a big deal, just pointing out one of the differences that I noticed.
Prices here are a bit high (as are the other Ghirardelli Shops), but the quality of the ice cream is quite great.
My husband was a bit disappointed that the peanut butter sauce sundaes are no longer on the menu, but there are still many great choices.
Service was good, it took a bit of time to get our malts, but not unreasonably long.
Pretty tasty, but there are probably more cost effective options to take a family too.

It was my first time at Ghirardelli and the experience was great! They were handing out free chocolates in front of the door which I thought was awesome! The cashier was very helpful and friendly. She helped me pick out which hot chocolate was best for me even though it was very loud and busy. Really appreciated the customer service here.

Only stop by here because we were on our way to the high roller ferris wheel which is located inside linq. Came here for black Friday and their was a deal which you buy 25 worth and you will receive 5 bucks gift card. I wanted to order their famous hot chocolate but the wait was ridiculously long. They need more staff.

Came in to wait for my friends who were arriving late for a concert (like always.) I ordered a Sea Salt hot chocolate which was freaking amazing sweet and just right for the cold weather. The staff here was very nice and helping, they offer you a free sample as you walk in and even come by to make sure your ok as you sit inside. Thanks for making a good night even sweeter Ghirardelli.

Not really a chocolate fan. So I think you can understand the review. However, it was clean, the service was good (to my friends that were chocolate fans) and the location is right there in that area where you walk towards the High Roller near LINQ.
For me though? The below pretty much sums it up.
Walked in. Chocolates. Walked out.

It wasn’t really worrh $ 11.99 plus tax sundae. Nothing spectacular. Presentation of ice cream was short of price you pay. I think I stick to Baskin Robins.

This is like a 4.5. Strawberry ice cream, hot fudge and whipped cream. I chose not to look at the calories. ;) Totally decadent!

This is a great place to relax and grab your sweet tooth fix while your visiting The Linq! Their sundaes are awesome and they give you a «mini» to try when you first walk in.
The service has always been great — even when they’re busy.
At times they can get super busy and there isn’t a whole lot of seating inside so once in a while we have to pass and head somewhere else. That’s the only reason for four (not five) stars.

This place has great ice-​cream shakes to enjoy as you walk about at the LINQ! I love their sea salt shake with hot fudge.
The restaurant is colorful with chocolate adorned everywhere you look. I like getting some creative ideas for gifts.
The store is very clean and I like the welcoming managerial presence. Everyone is greeted with a small sample upon entering the store — usually by the manager of the store. The customer service at the bar is also excellent.

This Ghirardelli’s is at The LINQ. I tried their Sea salt caramel sundae for the first time and it was delicious to taste the sea salt with vanilla and hot fudge.
I like their customer service there because someone always greets you when you come in with a chocolate sample.
Overall a good little dessert place if you’re craving anything chocolate!

Always wanted to try some ice cream from Ghirardelli, but never got around to it, until now in Vegas. I absolutely love their chocolate so how can they go wrong with cold treats. There is a nice lady passing out chocolate square samples at door and she even took our picture for us, what great service. I wanted to try the sundae, but just opted for the hob nob chill as it is described as a blended sundae. It was very good, very Ghirardelli chocolate good. I will be coming back to try their sundaes, banana splits, and waffle cones. All by the way looked very good as the family next to us devoured those exact items.

If you come in here expecting a replica of their original shop in San Fran, you’ll be sadly disappointed.
However I can’t really blame them for the plastic cups and silverware, the shop is right on the strip so you know every drunk bimbo and his cheap date are stumbling in here to spill their ice cream all over the place. Let’s not even think about getting glass involved. But really, how dare they make the cups smaller!
They’ve got a real speedy, coffeeshop-​like set up that ensures you receive your order fairly quickly, despite the lines. The store is small and mostly filled with merchandise displays, so best bet is to get your little to-​go cup of ice cream in it’s idiot-​proof container and continue your meandering around the Linq, there’s not much room to sit inside.
The ice cream itself was pretty great. But it’s ice cream, no one can screw that up. They have a bunch of different combinations on the menu that are named in reference to Sin City itself (that’s right Golden Gate banana split, get wrecked) and all come together as delicious sundaes that won’t cure a hang over but will sure make you slightly happier and pack on a few pounds.

What a dream come true, to visit this place.
Ghirardelli is located inside the The LINQ Promenade.
The shop is on your left as you are walking towards the LINQ Ferris wheel.
When you walk in the shop, the worker hands you a sample. :0)
There are tons of chocolates, many many varieties!
The chocolates are by the lb.
(I didn’t buy any chocolates as the package ones at the store comes out cheaper &
the flavors I love is available by the packs)
After our dinner, we stopped here for some sweets.
Everything looks so good! I had a very hard time deciding…
& finally, end up ordering the Banana Split.
This is perfect as we were still celebrating our anniversary.

As I was eating our banana split, it brought back memories of my high school days. when I worked @ ice cream shop.
This was the last time I ever had a banana split.
The Banana Split is huge, you can also pick your 3 choice of ice cream & topping.
My choices for BS were: 2 scoops espresso & 1 strawberry with crushed almonds. strawberries & caramel toppings. The price: close to 10.00, but that’s ok– its our anniversary & we are on vacation! It was worth it!
I feel guilty that I’m eating this w/​out the kids. esp. my son, he Loves sweets!

It was fun sitting outside having our banana split.

A small shop tucked inside The LINQ shopping plaza leading to the High Roller Ferris wheel that I chanced upon when staying next door at the Flamingos. I’ve been to OG Ghirardelli location in San Francisco as well as the one on Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles and am a big fan of their sundaes so had to indulge. As the shop is small it seemed pretty crowded even though there weren’t too many people inside. Like the location in San Francisco there was a cutie at the door passing out one Ghirardelli chocolate square free to each person who walked in so that was a nice touch. During this visit I got the Warm Brownie Sundae ($ 9.45; most of their sundaes are priced around $ 10) and managed to get a high chair facing the outside window. As usual the sundae was excellent. Yes, it was pricy but entirely justified as they provide a healthy portion without compromising on product quality. Unilocal check-​in get’s you a dollar off, so do use that. Surprisingly I’ve never bought any chocolates from Ghirardelli outlets just sundaes, so apart from the standard Ghirardelli chocolates that one can buy in any supermarket I don’t have much to contribute.
Goes without saying that this Ghirardelli location also gets two thumbs up from me.

After my lunch, it was time for dessert so I went to Ghirardelli for a sundae. There’s $ 1 off any sundae with a Unilocal check in.
When I saw the Ocean Beach. The menu describes it likes this: Vanilla ice cream smothered with creamy caramel, freshly homemade hot fudge and sea salt. Perfectly topped with whipped cream, creamy caramel, sea salt and a Ghirardelli SQUARES® Milk Chocolate. Once I saw salt, I stopped reading and knew this was the one.
I ordered, paid, and had a seat while the sundae was being made. Within a few minutes, the sundae was brought to me in a plastic cup and the server held out a long plastic spoon being careful not to touch the spoon part.
The sundae was very good and they did not spare the sea salt which is what I liked about the combination. The cup is not the most convenient way to eat this sundae and the spoon was a bit flimsy.
The cup had chocolate on the bottom and the ice creamed packed in had almost solidified that part of the chocolate. Don’t give up and don’t despair. Push that flimsy spoon to its limit and get every bit of chocolate goodness out of the bottom of that cup.
I found that I liked their previous location near Harrahs better. The sundaes were in different containers and there was more to them. These sundaes are smaller and more expensive, This won’t be I’ll stop I probably won’t make again!

I love me some Ghiradelli!!! My husband and I have been to several of their ice cream shops around the country (Las Vegas, San Francisco, Miami) and it is always a tasty treat I look forward to.
Along with their ice cream, you can also pick up an assortment of their famous little chocolate squares. Speaking of which, I love the fact that they welcome customers into the shop by handing out a free sample of their chocolate pieces of Heaven. This time, we were given the seasonal peppermint bark.
The ice cream at Ghiradelli’s is very thick and creamy. My favorite is the gold rush sundae with layers of vanilla ice cream (I substitute chocolate), melted peanut butter, and hot fudge. Seriously, how can you go wrong with that?! This time, however, I was forced to try something new because my husband was a fun killer and said a sundae was too much being that this dessert was pre-​dinner. I firmly believe that there can never be too much ice cream consumed at any given time of day, but since he was ordering a smaller portion, I didn’t want to look like a pig. We both ordered two scoops in a cup… His vanilla and cookies & cream; mine rocky road and strawberry. To my delight, the cups at Ghiradelli are the size of a Big Gulp, so I still won. Yes! Each flavor had huge chunks of strawberry, cookie pieces, etc. I finished every last bite… and then had my little chocolate square for dessert.

Everything you order in here is pure quality. Can’t go wrong. It’s like candyland in the shop, so beautiful. Loved their banana split, they adhere to the classic version.
