We felt like we couldn’t trust these liars and we should have followed our instincts. They are the shadiest of scum, low life, mouth breathers.
We were told they were representing the cosmopolitan, and wanted us to tour the property as it has been repaired since the pool fire. Lie 1 of many. This company has no affiliation with the cosmopolitan except for proximity. The crappy little property they are showcasing is called the Jockey Club should be condemned. It is as shoddy as the moral compass of the individuals who run and work at this place.
When we arrived at the building we were told that it was NOT a timeshare presentation and would take less than an hour. Three hours later we are still arguing that we will not be buying anything while they insult our intellect and even comment on the imminent death of our relatives.
We were told that we would be getting 300 bucks in free play at the Cosmo, which is why we decided to do this whole thing in the first place.
This turned out to be a 300 dollar certificate to use at Casino Royale but not without ridiculous restrictions. What you find out when you get there is you are allowed to use a select bank of machines a total of maybe 16. In order to win anything you must win 4 thousand dollars in a single pull and if you pull off that miraculous feat, you get, ready for this…1 hundred dollars. Woo. And you must be betting at least 10 dollars a spin.

Stay as Far away as you can from Geo Holiday and Jockey Club. Nothing they have told us panned out to be the truth. When we call in and talk to a representative all we get is prove it. Call me when you have the proof. We never received our 149.00 deposit. We purchased a time share and yet to receive the Hawaii Vacation. Mailed coupon in December 11^th. We purchased the points program and we are now told we cannot deposit our week. OMG anyone who purchases you are in for a ride. There are legitimate time shares out there. We own at Vacation Village Bön adventure. They are fabulous.

This is a SCAM don’t fall for it. Yes it’s at the Jockey Club but they lease a space out. It is not with the Jockey Club. However by the time they move out the Jockey Club might haft to closer their door because folks think they are affiliated with one another. No free concert ticket or airplane ticket is worth this!!! IMHO they are the scum of the sales world. Check out other review sites and look at how many times they have changed names and locations.

This review is pertaining to their customer service or lack there of. Read on for my full explanation.
So I am on the freeway listening to the highway station when I hear a promo about receiving a prize if I answer a trivia question correctly that is asked on the air. I answered correctly so the lady on the other end said to come down to the Jockey Club to claim my prize of tickets to a show on the strip. She takes down my name and number so I can verify that its me claiming my prize.
An hour later, I get a call from some guy named Jason from the Jockey Club congratulating me on winning my prize. This is where the lies and bad customer service begin. He asks me if I wanted 2 complimentary roundtrip tickets for 3 days/​2 nights anywhere in the U.S. except for Hawaii and Alaska just for attending their 120 minute time share presentation. He said there was no obligation to buy and the roundtrip airfare and accommodations voucher was mine to keep.
I tell him I am not interested and that I don’t have time for that. Instead of letting it go, he started going on about how much more money I can save if I just get a timeshare through them instead of going through your basic hotel. Again, I politely say I am not interested and that I will be picking up my show tickets the next day. Was he done? Nope. He went to add that since I was going to pick it up, I might as well attend the seminar and claim the complimentary airfare/​accommodation voucher. At this point, I repeat myself again but in a irritated voice that I don’t want anything to do with a timeshare. So he rudely says «Ok that’s fine», and hangs up on me.
So the next day, I show up to claim my tickets. The guy at the counter tells me to wait while he gets my vouchers. I show him my ID and he gives it to me but not without asking me if I was gonna do the seminar. I said no thanks and left. As I get to my car, I look at the vouchers and see that I have two vouchers equaling two tickets each. One was for The Mentalist and one was for Mark Savard. If you refer to my pic, on the vouchers it says that you must pay a 5 dollar service charge for each ticket. WHAT A SCAM! How are these tickets free if you have to pay to use them?
Needless to say, I don’t think I will be redeeming these vouchers any time soon or maybe not at all. But wait, just when you think its over, Jason calls me again the next day. He said since I claimed my prize he was willing to offer me a 100 dollar gift card to Best Buy to go through their seminar. I said that’s great but what about the free roundtrip airfare/​accommodations offer the day before? He replied with oh, did I offer that to you? Ok well then did you want that one instead? Excuse me? You went from airfare tickets to a 100 dollar gift card? And what about the «free» ticket vouchers? It says I have to pay a 5 dollar service charge for each ticket. He said that they have no control over the service charge and that the Planet Hollywood box office has those rights. I said that’s BS. You are giving away «free» ticket vouchers and you cant even just cover the service fee? So I said never to call me again and hung up.
2 days later, I get yet another call from somebody in the prize department for the Jockey Club following up on my recent prize and to do his spiel. I told him that I have already spoken to Jason at least a couple times about it and that I was definitely not interested.
In closing, what kind of shady company are these guys running? I swear if anybody else calls me from that place in regards to attending a timeshare then I just might take legal action. These fools should be called «The Joke Club» instead. They never seem to tell you the truth and they want to keep calling you even though you have clearly stated you want nothing to do with them. Even if I was interested in a time share, based on their persistent bad customer service, why would I even consider them? If you are reading this and might be in the same boat, don’t do it, its not worth the hassle. Not with these guys anyway
PS Come to find out that these guys are renting out a space inside the Jockey Club so that means that they are a separate entity. When they call you they say they are representing the Jockey Club but in actuality they don’t work for them.

The customer service for their timeshare sales department is absolutely rock-​bottom awful, worst I’ve experienced– had an experience similar to Roger’s. The location might be great, but the constant wheeling and dealing and checking the fine print make me hesitant to do any sort of official business with them.
Even just dealing with them by phone prior to my visit, my call was tossed around to three different people promising me the moon and contradicting what one another said. They want every possible form of contact information for you and insist that you bring a valid credit card before you even set food in their seminars.
By the time they’re done interrogating you and changing the subject when you call them out on the contradictions in their sales pitch, you won’t trust these people at all– at least I didn’t. Empty promises, overly aggressive sales tactics, and shady management policies abounds here.
Heads up that even when you leave dissatisfied and frustrated, and make that blatantly clear to them, they’ll still have several employees call you throughout the next week or so– either they don’t remove your info from their system or they just don’t bother to listen to you– not a characteristic of a company I want to give my financial info to or get into a long-​term contract with.

If you are staying at the Jockey Club, then RUN, DO NOT WALK, DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT your $ 200 or anything else they promise you that will not materialize from that rented booth across from the main desk. Show tickets? Cheaper at the discount ticket booths, crappy shows that are usually free to locals, and without the harangue and the manipulation Gift certificates? Our gift turned out to be two $ 25
certificates that we used to buy in the good ol’ days — before Groupon ruined them — for $ 2 apiece on sale.
They are not selling timeshares. They sell memberships in a travel club that purportedly lets you stay at «all the best timeshare properties,» except that the best aren’t ever available. Though their rented space is located at the Jockey Club, they are not selling the Jockey Club, which has been fully sold out for years. They aren’t even selling any other timeshare properties, simply membership in their club. And that membership could set you back more than $ 12,000 bucks, for which you will get nothing.
So, walk on buy, don’t say hello, don’t acknowledge their presence (or their «presents,»), don’t even look them in the eye. Just keep going. Your wallet will thank you, your sanity will be preserved, and your equanimity will remain intact.

I would leave 0 stars but I cant. I came here because I received a complimentary stay at the Jockey Club and with 2 free tickets and a refund of $ 99.00 that I previously paid. Since I went through the door they were all but nice. I guy (too bad I didn’t see his name) started putting a show like he is not understanding what is happening. We looked like we were begging to get our $ 99 refund. They made us call back to where we originally made a time-​share tour. They put us on hold for 15 minutes. We had to look through our 6 months old emails to find a confirmation number and only then they «found» our profile (yeah right)…
Then the lady who was taking care of us was asking for someone else and she was totally ignored! I had to say something loud so they pay attention to us. They started arguing with me and staring at my face I had to ask them «do i have something my face?» They obviously hated my response but hey! I totally hated how they were treating me since we got in. At the end we got our refund but they DID NOT gave us our 2 free tickets!!! We left the place because we didn’t wanted to be there anymore. But check this out, just before getting into the elevator the same guy staring at me from the other side of the room! WTF! So i stared back at him then he yells across the room «tough guy huh?» So I stood up to him and said YES! with my head… Can you believe this? The guy was an old man bald with glasses maybe 5’6″ — 5’8″ tall and a total a$$hole!!! Screw this we learned our lesson and we are never trusting this kind of stuff ever again. Btw, we also «won» a free week somewhere else but F IT i dont want it.

Okay so let me break it down for you guys. This company is the most unprofessional, ghetto, a joke of what a timeshare membership should be. So I unknowingly signed my life away to this bs company. I was in Vegas for a weekend with absolutely no intention of becoming a timeshare member or owner. Every time I said no. .they would bring out another sales rep and would bribe me with all sorts of stuff. I agreed to 90 min of some orientation. But I was stuck there for at least 120 minutes.
They kept trying to bribe me. My intoxication got the best of me as I fell for their 2 round trip tickets to Hawaii bribe [WHICH I NEVER GOT AND ITS BEEN 2 YEARS!] IS THAT EVEN LEGAL? IM PRETTY CERTAIN THAT’S AGAINST THE LAW. Also taking advantage of a drunk young lady for a commission check is just wrong. Isn’t there some law of no intoxicated people should be pushed to signing something so serious? We youngsters are in Vegas for a reason… The more I think about how they swindled me the more I get ANGRY and wish for horrible things to happen to this company and their MEMBER SERVICES staff. I dunno what kind of uneducated, unprofessional people they hire. but seriously a reflection of their company is in Unilocal reviews and this is pure proof that they have nothing but haters.
So I estimated what this company makes from me and its roughly $ 1500 a year. Fuckin bullshit! For that much it’s a roundtrip airfare to pretty much anywhere I’d wanna go.. And what am I paying for you ask? For these lazy assholes to be sitting pretty on some commission. .while I get a sorry 5,000 pts a year which doesn’t even buy me a week at THEIR OWN jockey club in Vegas (WHICH IS GHETTO AND ROACH INFESTED). Now does that even make sense? So I’m paying $ 1500 a year. so I can ALMOST have enough points to stay 1 week in their ghetto timeshare? Get the Fuck out of here. Double negative. Don’t fall for their shady schemes. Don’t even give them 90 min of your life. A free weekend stay in Vegas is not worth it people!

What a piece of crap company this is! Had some time to burn and decided to get some free show tickets and $ 100 Visa gift card by seeing a short two hour presentation. I already own a timeshare with Wyndham but told them I didn’t own. So after hearing their garbage for 75 minutes, we started pressing them with questions about their properties and points system. They came at us with $ 16 000 for 25 000 points. Whaaaa???
Here’s the kicker we were then approached by another sales associate name Jonathan Ochoa. What a waste of space this guy takes up. When presented with the hard questions about his company just pushing RCI and not GeoHolidays, he told us we were slumming it in Vegas and this program is not for us. The dude was literally laughing like a little school girl because he though it was funny we did not want to pay 16k for a shitty time resort that you don’t even have ownership of after 45 years. What a joke!!! The whole time he was interested in leaving by talking on his cell phone.
Do this if you have time.

Leave with the gifts you were promised.

For entertainment value hope to get stopped by one of these people for free gifts.
We went in never going to purchase and came out successfully not purchasing. We had a great and fun time though. I love entertaining myself by making salespeople uncomfortable and here I had a blast. My lady and another couple got stopped and we had nothing better to do with the afternoon so we went. We laughed, we hugged and we got gifts and left.
DO NOT do this if you cannot handle high pressure sales tactics. These people are masters. Go for the entertainment and leave.

We were flagged down by a «body snatcher» at a different location and given some little free prizes for spinning a wheel. The prize lady pitched a free getaway if we went to a timeshare presentation.
I’ve never been to one of these presentations before but I’ve certainly heard about them. But the prize lady was going to give us some pretty good freebies so I figured what the heck, I’ll go! Let me clarify though that I was somewhat open to the idea of a timeshare and I was aware that these were high pressure sales pitches.
We showed up for our time, waited in a comfortable (but cold) waiting area for about 15 minutes and had some pretty bad free coffee.
We were seated in a little room with a tv, white board, and about 20 other people. The presenter had a good sense of humor about the reputation of these kinds of sales pitches and then gave his presentation. He was entertaining and did a good job with his pitch.
Then we had a tour of the facility. It’s pretty nice. We’ve used my mother in law’s RCI week before and the room was very similar the one we’ve stayed at before.
The woman who gave us the tour laid out the full price for us, we said no. She waived down the finance manager (or whatever) and he was warm and friendly and he cut the price and offered more freebies. Still a little rich for our blood but he applied a little pressure, saying we couldn’t get the offer without being at a presentation and we couldn’t attend another presentation. Uh-​huh, suuuure. But we didn’t bite.
Then they led us to another area where we were supposed to receive our prizes. And we had another person cut the price again. We were pretty tempted this time. But like I said we were familiar with the concept of timeshares and not against them. If they had gone any lower we likely would have taken the bait. But we couldn’t do it at this time. And THIS guy said they were always there and we could always buy in later, though the terms might change.
Finally the woman who gives the prizes came over, offered us two weeks at a fixed price, we declined that as well (but it wasn’t a bad deal!) and then we got our freebies for participating.
From the time we left our car to to the time we got back in our car was 2.5 hours. No one was rude and they were very upfront about exactly what we’d be getting if we did sign up. So, I’m not sure how one would get swindled. They did apply a good amount of sales pressure but I think it’s because I was expecting it that I didn’t mind it (it’s their job!).
Personally, I felt like the time we spent there was worth the free things we received.

Why must Unilocal require at least a 1 star rating? A 1 is too generous. This was absolutely the worst customer service experience in my life. BUYER BEWARE (see bullet list at the end).
2 days ago, a lady called me and informed me I won a bunch of roundtrip tickets and hotel stays to anywhere in the US. It was from something I filled out at the LV 51s game. All I had to do was attend a 2 hour presentation. No obligations, guaranteed free gifts.
I went to the presentation today and it took 4 hours. The first 2 salesmen, Victoria and Jeremy tried to sell us time shares. We decided no, and they eventually politely went away. The next guy was supposed to give us the gift, but he tried to sell us a cheaper «locals only» version of the time shares. He got aggressive, he was condescending, he was loud and he basically called us dumb for not accepting the offer. We said no, and the final guy came to give us the gifts.
A guy walked up to us. Looks like a janitor. Tossed some flyers (the «free» stuff) on the desk and demanded signatures. I tried to ask a question and he interrupted and says he doesn’t know anything. He did not let me speak, and push me to sign his slip. I seriously wanted to punch the guy in the face.
From my experience, these are the RED flags.
* We was being pressured to buy TODAY. Would you buy a house on one day’s notice? Would you buy a car on one day’s notice? Then why spend $ 12,000+ on time share in one day’s notice? Do some research about the company before deciding.
* We were told several times it was a 2 hour presentation. It took 4 hours
* We were told we would get free show tickets, 2 free roundtrip flight tickets and hotel stays to anywhere in the US. The show «tickets» given were vouchers for buy 1 get 1 free, some where it’s free if you do xyz, and some to shows you wouldn’t go even if it is free. The flight/​hotel tickets requires an upfront cashiers check/​money order deposit, and a bunch of «processing fees». — not free.
* The salesmen stated time share owners will get access to all Cosmo amenities. As you can see from other Unilocal reviewers, that is not true.

We entered a drawing at a Las Vegas 51’s game and got a phone call offering free round-​trip airfare for 2 anywhere in the US, two nights at a Marriott, and 3 days of rental car, plus show tickets if we attended a 2 hour vacation presentation.
I was prepared for the high pressure sales tactics and sales pitches, but thought I’d give it a chance for the «free gift».
They wasted OVER 3 hours of our time shuffling us around to different sleazy sales people and we kept saying «no» and they kept getting mad.
Finally, we got our «gifts» which actually cost over $ 200 in fees to actually use.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

For the sake of your wallet and sanity READ ALL OF THE REVIEWS on every site in reference to ‘Geo Holiday’, ‘Geo Holiday Canada’, and ‘Starpoint Resort Group, Inc’ … This company runs the biggest scam I have ever seen. The presenter will talk super fast, and say somewhat witty things but if you say anything that in any way out smarts him he will make rude comments about you or ignore you when asking the room questions.
They will take you to the bank for $ 12 700 or more with, ready for this… 18% interest for «points» that you may or most likely may NOT be able to use on a future vacation.
Everything I read online says the best places in their catalog are not available EVER for booking and you can’t get anyone on the phone to explain why you have to pay an additional $ 199 for a week to visit when you are already paying $ 12 700 for the ‘points’ (meaning a payment of around $ 200 per month) and on top of that, you have to pay $ 980 year for the LIFE of the membership or you lose privileges. Therefore, if you pass away and trust this ‘timeshare’ to your children, they will have to pay $ 1000 to use it per year or it goes into default.
At this point Starpoint Resort Group, Inc has over 160 BBB complaints against them.
I warn, urge, beg you not to waste your time or money on this scam. Go to one of the discount ticket places on the street and get your tickets there for the shows, you will be GLAD you didn’t waste over FOUR hours on their presentation to see the «free» shows they will sell you on.
And, the free trip to Hawaii they offer you «if you sign up today» is NOT FREE! They make you fly first to Vegas and stay 2 nights at the shitty old Jockey Club (look it up, ALSO Geo Holiday says you can use ALL OF COSMOs ammenities, call them first, I was told only the Bamboo Pool, nothing else!) The trip to fly to Vegas will cost you $ 99 each and the trip to fly to Hawaii will cost you $ 199 each, so you’re $ 500 in the hole for a «free trip»…
RUN, DO NOT WALK away from these smooth talking Vegas sales people. They are trained to take your money and run with it and if you do for some insane reason sign up for this outrageous money pit, you have FIVE days to cancel, make sure its certified and delivered by midnight before the 5^th day.
In other news, there are fabulous travel deals all over the interwebs and through your friends circles. RUN to those! :)

The horrifically unprofessional business practices of this place have already been recounted here in perfect detail, so I’ll just add a couple hilarious anecdotes.
1. Our first salesman told so many stories that were completely unrelated to it encounter including failing out of University of Phoenix, his Dad’s home down the street from Michael Jordan’s house in Chicago, his cocaine addicted brother, the ugly history of the Bellagio and the Wynn, and how everyone he knows is more successful than him.
2.Our «closer» salesman was on his cellphone the entire time and spoke faster than the micro-​machine guy.
3. Our gifting agent started the conversation by saying «Do you watch the news? There’s gonna bee a militia rising up against the federal government.»
4. And finally, the guy who brought us in not only lied his arse off about the gifts we’d receive, but pumped himself up as the coolest guy in Vegas that ladies were dying to sleep with, he used to run a multi-​million dollar night club, date a girl who looked like Barbie, and he called the people at GeoHoliday «F@#:-k&=g R@$&#ds». That guy must lead a very sad life.
Pathetic all around.

We arrived Tuesday 2÷12÷2014 @ 3pm. Our reservations were reserved weeks in advance. Upon check-​in, the hotel representative handed us a self addressed introductory envelope; however, there was no reservation on file. WHAT?
The hotel phoned the booking company, Geo Holidays/​Resort Stay International, and their representative said they’d call «right back»… 40 minutes later, and after no calls back, we called the company directly.
After a 15 minutes phone wait, they report that our check in isn’t until 4pm… it’s f*cking 3:55pm!!! Seriously???

This place is disgusting and so is nearly everyone we met who is connected to it.
First, we got raked in by someone at the 51’s game with promises of free show tickets (I’m not talking Cirque or Elton John type shows. I mean those shows that remain audience-​less night after night) and a «free» two-​day trip to disney. We told the woman we had no interest in a timeshare presentation and she replied, «Well just do it for the free gifts. That’s what everyone does it for.»
We were asked to arrive 15 minutes early. We were there about 30 minutes early and our salesperson didn’t greet us until 15 minutes after our appointment time. Beware: I don’t think any of these presentations have EVER lasted only 90 minutes.
I felt like cattle in a LOUD room full of people at tables getting fed the same crap about this horrible sham of a timeshare deal. When you show no interest they call in the big guns who feed you a ridiculous deal that is much cheaper and sounds better if you don’t speak their language or just aren’t paying attention. The people get ruder and ruder at each level and there are 4 scam artists you need to get through if you’re going to pass on the deal.
The last guy treated us more horribly than I’ve ever been treated by anyone in my life. He’s the one who delivers the «free gifts» and one last gift — 2 weeks of vacation that are free except for this charge and that charge and $ 160 upfront. Uh-​huh. When we told him no to his final «deal» he became sarcastic, rude and extremely inappropriate. I called him on it and he just walked away. PS: that free Disney deal? It costs 50 bucks. But they’ve already reeled you in, you’ve wasted 3 hours (if not more) and all you can do is take your «free» gifts and leave with your tail between your legs.
If you’re thinking of staying at the Jockey Club, well… this place seems as gross as the attitudes of the people who work for Geo Holidays. In the sales pitch they went on and on about how many millions of dollars Cosmopolitan gave them to update their interior and exterior in return for Jockey Club’s tennis courts and garage. The hallways are reminiscent of a cheap Motel 6 with low ceilings and cheap-​looking wooden trim. Their remodeled kitchens? They wouldn’t have been modern in the 90’s.
Run, do not walk, away from these con artists. Your «free» gifts, I assure you, are not worth it.

They have the best of the best bullshi%@r’s working here! Please don’t fall for their scam. Their hour presentation can easily take 5 hours! If you are visiting Vegas it is best to walk past them when they try to offer you free stuff. Whatever they are offering you isn’t worth lost time.
When they take you on the grand tour they will stay away from their property as much as possible. They will try to sell you on something that isn’t theirs «The Cosmo» they share a connecting door but that is about it. The sales sharks will sell you on Cosmo’s spa, pool, and gym. They will make you think by buying their property you can have full access to Cosmo’s amenities but that is not true. They will say that the points they give you is enough for a week at their Las Vegas Property but that is also not true.
Consider your self warned…
