Been coming here for over 20 years. Have seen changing owner’s and chef’s a couple times, but pleasantly the food has not changed much or at all. Live flounder & seafood in a tank. Always order the steamed fish w/ginger & scallions.

The food was excellent and the portions were good. General So and triple delight. The wonton soup is big and had more in it than just the normal dumplings. Overall a wonderful experience. It is not to be considered fine dining, this is a very simple establishment with excellent foods and very good service.

Based on the reviews i expected the food to be better. It was evenly average. I ordered to go. It is a restaurant but more for lunch

I gotta say this is the best Chinese food I’ve had in Vegas. This is my third time here and I order the egg drop every time.

The food at this restaurant is one of the best Chinese places in the valley. It is a small sized restaurant. If you’re a fan of dim sum, this is not the place for you. However this restaurant tends to get busy later at night. Therefore, service is slower than usual. The only downfall is that there is always only one waiter for about 7 tables. If you have some time, and want delicious food, I would highly recommend this place.

One of the Best Chinese food spots in Vegas, hands down! I found this spot years ago when I was looking for something good for lunch and I’ve been coming here ever since! I usually do take out for my family for dinner but they also have dine in and serve lunch. This place is usually packed with customers and people waiting for food orders. I love the Chinese greens with chicken, strings beans and beef or chicken. They also do a sautéed of mustard greens with garlic, delicious. Salt and Pepper pork chops and great as well. The salt and pepper shrimp without the shell is a must have appetizer. On Cold days I love the Wor Won Ton soup or Hot and Sour soup. They are sooo good. This place is great if you have a big party or you need a place to celebrate with good food. I go so often they know me by name, lol. They aim to please here. I do miss my favorite waiter Alfred who is now retired. You will never be disappointed with this place. I think we eat here at least once a week for dinner.

Wanted to try this place but wasn’t given that opportunity. My husband and I came here, we walked in and just stood there waiting. The place was rather full but nothing crazy. We saw a few empty tables. Two staff members were walking around. Not one person even acknowledged us. Not one. We didn’t even get a hello. I hoped someone would at least say something and simply tell us to give them a minute. That’s what professional places do. Nope, they didn’t make eye contact and we waited for roughly 5 minutes before we turned around and walked out. This place could have had our business and we are the type of people that if we love a place we ALWAYS return. They lost that chance.

I only come here for the pan fried noodle with shrimp. It’s the BEST ever. Orange chicken is delish and I’ve had the beef and broccoli as well. The place is humble but great staff. They close at 12 so that is convenient as well sometimes. Must try, great place for locals

Don’t be fooled by the very general name. This place is all but a Food Express. They obviously take their time when cooking their meals as you can see at first taste. This is definitely great authentic Chinese food some of the best I’ve had here on this side of the country.

From 11÷28÷15 We came into Food Express Chinese Food, after hearing so many good things about it. You have your choice of Dine-in or takeout, this no delivery. We decided to eat our lunch in the restaurant that is the best way to experience a new food spot. We were seated right away, our server took our order, and are food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles they were delicious, packed with spice just the way I like it! I will be back to try more of their dishes for sure!

This is now my favorite Chinese food restaurant(casual restaurant) in Vegas. The food is fresh, great flavor with everything we’ve ordered and the staff is friendly. Prices are cheap and service is fast.

I’ve been driving past this place for a long time and finally decided to stop in. We walked in and ordered take out. Being that it was almost closing time I didn’t know what to expect. The staff was very friendly and the food was very good. I will definitely be going back to try other dishes.

This is my family’s go-to Chinese restaurant for birthdays or special occasions. Hahahaha… Some of the servers know my parents on a first-name basis. They’ve honestly recognized me and the siblings and will just point in the direction of our parents. That being said, we always like the customer service here, which is a big reason why our family likes coming here. The food always comes out in good family-sized portions. Flavors are always good, and they generally get all the food out at once. My siblings and I laugh, but we honestly appreciate how they keep our rice containers full and switch out the tea pots whenever it gets cold(especially in the fall and winter). Family faves are: Salt & Pepper Pork Chops, Wor Wonton Soup, Seabass & Tofu in Clay Pot, Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Roasted Duck or Peking Duck(should come with steam buns and sauce), Crispy Chicken, String Beans with Garlic, Combination Pan Fried Noodle. I think you still have to ask what the kitchen made for dessert. We’ve had the Tapioca or Taro flavored desserts, which are pretty much hot soup with the Tapioca pearls.

Found this little spot after going to the indoor swampmeet. Place is very nice inside and the servers are as well. Order the orange chicken and the chowmein. Chicken was crispy and crunchy and really good. Food was good and a great price.

I have some go-to spots when I am in town off the strip. Food Express Chinese Restaurant is one of them. Be sure to ask for John when you’re here, you’re guaranteed a good time here with John. The food is great. I come from SoCal/SGV so I am picky when it comes to Chinese food and this place does not disappoint. I’ve tried many different dishes here and I can safely say you’ll be happy with whatever you get. I highly recommend this place to anybody who wants great food and great service. It’s located in a strip mall, easy to find with a lit up sign. The food is fresh and has a great portion size, three plates would easily be enough for three people. Priced very reasonably as well. Do come here!

I don’t know what part of town this restaurant is in but there were a lot of locals. My sis and bro in law come here often when they’re in Vegas. Authentic Chinese food. The five of us ordered: *honey glazed walnut prawns — needed more honey glaze, but good size prawns *clams in black bean sauce — my least fave dish. I thought the clams mushy. *eggplant with chicken and salted fish — we all liked this dish. more eggplant please! *sweet and sour chicken — yeah I know, this isn’t authentic, but it was the best dish. *green beans with garlic — fresh and good portion size Located in a strip mall.

So, howe has this place been over the years? I have decided to come back here to try out some of my favorites. Most of the food is still very, very good, and I highly recommend this place if you want authentic cantonese food. A. Steamed Flounder — Steamed fish is an essential add to any true cantonese meal and this flounder was enjoyable, with the right amount of fish sauce, cilantro and onions to give it a nice taste. Would have been AWESOME if the fish was fresh and not frozen. B. Salt Pepper Pork Chops — Served with fried jalepenos. I found this to be very good overall, not outstanding but good! C. Steamed Pork with Salted Fish — Ah, this is a real tasty dish and I also enjoyed this one D. Half Chicken with Green Onion and Ginger — Met my expectations. tender, on the bone meat that is very tasty in a natural way. No overpowering flavors at all. E. Beef with Bitter Melon — Mom used to serve this to me all the time and I hated it. I love it now and if a restaurant has this on the menu, you can be assured that it is an authentic place. Here it was very good. F. Pea Pod with Garlic — Yep, this is not your Bok Choy or Broccoli. this is Pea Pod sautéed in Garlic and it is kind of like Spinach. G. Oyster Sauce Chinese Broccoli — Had to order this as the kids always love it. This is prepared the way my mom and grandmother prepared it all those years. The food here is truly authentic, and so I cannot tell you or rate how their fried rice, chow mein, wonton soup, orange chicken or any other normal type of chinese food is. I went right for the down and dirty normal food I had growing up and was not disappointed. Why the downgrade? 1. No other Chinese people in the place other than the waiters. 2. Nearly empty for the longest time. 3. Did not automatically serve us the«soup of the day» which for some of you may look like dishwater but is actually a very light double boiled pork bone soup with bits of veggies in it that is the best. Real places always serve the soup as a free appetizer. 4. Took away our soup bowls and only had plates and forks. Hello, if you are having the Half Chicken, the Steamed fish and the Beef with Bitter Melon, all these dishes have a sauce on them that the rice absorbs oh so well and you can only eat rice properly with a bowl and chopstick… Why set us up with plate and fork. Must be what their normal clientele use? No respectable place makes you ask for the bowl and chopstick… 5. Prices are a few dollars higher than i would imagine. I do like this place and consider it a solid choice to go for the most authentic cantonese food.

This is another staple for my parents. The food has been consistently good — Peking duck, sweet n sour pork chops, snow pea pod shoots, green beans, daily fish, and beef chow fun. We don’t really change up what we order too much as my family are creatures of habit, but I’m not complaining. The vegetables and meat are fresh. My parents don’t usually order from the menu, but this place can make what you want — if you don’t see it on the menu, just ask. The worst thing they can say is no. The restaurant is small and service is spotty, but you should always expect to receive your food within 10 minutes or so.
