They pay close attention to your needs. They are a little more exspensive than some other places but on the other hand you don’t have to worry about the end result. You dress will come out perfect! I am so glad I shopped around and found them.

The ladies at Fit For a Bride are the most professional and helpful ladies in the business. I have been so impressed by the beauty of their shop, the way they personalize the experience, and even more — take care of people. You can’t go wrong with this place — they are the right people to trust your wedding dress needs to.

I highly recommend Fit for a Bride for bridal/​anniversary dress needs. I had my wedding dress re-​done into a cocktail style dress for my 20^th anniversary and they met my budget and got it done in the time frame that I needed. Excellent sewing and a pleasure to work with!

I needed my wedding dress altered short notice. I promptly got an appointment and was able to get my final fitting completed within one week. The dress fit PERFECTLY!!! I was so happy with the cost and the outcome of my wedding dress. These ladies are so nice and welcoming and the décor is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone who is looking for great customer service and quality alterations to their wedding dress.

My alterations were simple. All I required was hemming and a bustle. The hem job was great. Debi and her staff were wonderful to work with. My «mark down» is for the bustle. It was too long (dragging the floor), so early on in the reception, someone stepped on it — and pulled out the thin thread holding up the train. So, I had to carry my train until there was time for my bridesmaid to pin the bustle high enough that it no longer dragged the floor. Other than this, working with Fit for a Bride was great.

I bought my dress in NY and fedexed it to Fit for a Bride a week before my wedding along with my husbands suit. Both were delivered to our suite perfectly pressed. My dress was filled with beautiful tissue and it was apparent that even the smallest details were important to them. Communication was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I would not hesitate to let Deb and her team care for your wedding gown!

I bought my dress from David’s Bridal. I loved it. When I got it November 2013, it was a few sizes too big. I wasn’t paying attention to anything and I put on 10 pounds, and October 2014 my dress was slightly too small. My wedding was December 13, 2014. Davids Bridal would only do my fittings 6 months before my wedding, due to the high demand. I wasn’t going to have it fitted so early so I waited and found someone else. My husband found Fit for a Bride through Google. They fit me in and had everything finished Thanksgiving week.

When I first bought my dress, I wasn’t in love with it. But after Debi was through with it, I was absolutely in love with it! She did the best job ever and made it more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! It fit like a glove and the alterations were flawless and affordable! I am more than happy that I chose this place for my dress! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone! The staff was wonderful and the result were amazing!

I have had more than one experience with Fit For a Bride: for my own wedding in May 2014, and now for my sister’s wedding in November 2015. I absolutely love this business and he ladies who run it. I have always received professional care for my expensive (bridal and bridesmaid) dresses, and they altered them to fit perfectly! They took the time needed to make sure everything was perfect and flattering for my body, and were patient and professional. I have already recommended this business to my sister, and would recommend it to any bride! I also think it’s important to support local and women-​owned businesses, and these ladies are worth the support!

I just picked up my Wedding dress today after my final fitting and I am beyond thrilled with it. Any tweaks/​minor adjustments were done on the spot, and Debi wouldn’t stop until I was 100% happy with it. I am so happy I found this place. I’m ready to walk down the aisle!

I would NOT recommend Fit For a Bride to any brides looking for wedding dress alterations. This was the only vendor that I regret from my entire wedding– such an upsetting experience. All brides that I know required 3 or less dress fittings; mine took 7 fittings with Fit For a Bride, and that does not count when I had to go to another seamstress the week of my wedding to fix/​finish the work.
Throughout the alterations process, I was very vocal in my wants/​needs for the alterations and was often shut down, was told the alteration was not possible or was not needed. This happened MANY times. I have never worn a wedding dress before, so all I could do was trust these women. I accepted that Fit For a Bride could not make the alterations, so signed the paper to take my dress home. I also had no other option, as I was leaving town the NEXT day for my wedding. The week of my wedding, I was forced to go to a second seamstress, who was able to make every single alteration in 3 DAYS that Fit For a Bride couldn’t, or wouldn’t make, over the course of 3 MONTHS. After my wedding, I called Debi at Fit For a Bride and explained my concerns and how upset I was and asked if she would be willing to compensate me for the additional costs that I had to pay for a second seamstress (I was not even asking to be refunded the money I paid Fit For a Bride for their services). Debi was incredibly rude and defensive, telling me I must have lost too much weight the week of my wedding, and once even telling me that «she will never go above and beyond for ‘you girls’ anymore» (yes, she was referring to her clients/​brides). This is no surprise that my complaint irritated Debi, I assume because many of her clients leave her store upset. As a matter of fact, I was in the store for my 5^th fitting, very frustrated myself, and overheard the women working at Fit For a Bride all discussing a separate client that had just called that was very mad, stating that she had the absolute worst experience with them. It seems I am not the only one that is upset with their services.
Even if you are considering Fit For a Bride for simple dress alterations, please read below what I had done to my dress.
— Dress hemmed (Fit For a Bride hemmed my dress too short, forcing me to purchase new shoes, and hemmed it uneven. I paid another seamstress to even the hem because Fit For a Bride disagreed with me that it was uneven.)
— Bustle (Fit For a Bride put a bustle on my dress, but the back of the dress was left dragging. I told them it was too long, and they disagreed. I then brought it to another seamstress who said the bustle was 5 inches too long and needed to be fixed. Fit For a Bride also completely left out a layer of my dress in the bustle.)
— Dress taken in (Fit For a Bride did not take it in enough at my hips or chest. I expressed my concern that my guests could see down my chest and Fit For a Bride told me on 2 occasions that it was not possible to take it in more. I paid another seamstress to do this for me correctly.)
— As the dress was being taken in, a bulge of material was left in the rib area. I will admit that Debi did try to remove this bulge, but she could not fix it. Fortunately, my other seamstress was able to fix this problem, that Debi told me was impossible to do.
Because I signed to take the dress home (again, I really did not have a choice), Fit For a Bride refuses to reimburse me for the additional expenses that I incurred due to their mistakes and unwillingness to complete alterations. The only thing that Debi offered me was a complimentary dress preservation, which I found comical, seeing as these are the last women that I trust with my dress. I was already upset with how my dress turned out, and am now even more upset with the customer service that I received, as Debi argued with me for 20 minutes after my wedding about how I was wrong to be upset. I would absolutely never willingly bring my dress back into Fit For a Bride.
Planning a wedding is very stressful, and bringing your dress to Fit For a Bride is one stress you do not need to put yourself through. I trusted these women and they unfortunately proved to me that I should not have. Do not make the same mistake that I did.

«Not all that glitters is gold,» may be an appropriate descriptor when it comes to Fit for a Bride. I had my suspicions when I noticed the business used random internet photographs for their Facebook and Unilocal pages.
The store looks amazing, total old Hollywood glam. It’s seriously one of the most well-​designed bridal interiors in Las Vegas. At surface, the employees are cloyingly kind, calling you all sorts of pet names and reassuring you that your dream dress is a shared vision.
It started off great. I found my dress in Chicago — it was lace, but strapless. Debi (owner) and the seamstress assured me that an off the shoulder long sleeve could be made with the extra lace pieces I ordered.
Fitting after fitting went by with no issues. The day before the final fitting, there was a slight hiccup when it came to the sleeves, as the netting was loose and there were glaringly obvious seam lines in the shape of a Y running down my forearm. I was assured this could be covered by the lace. We worked on the placement, pinning each appliqué in its position. Photographs were taken.
The day of final fitting, I hear another bride speaking rudely to the staff. She was complaining about pet hair and ink stains on her dress. Not wanting to be involved in any sort of bad wedding luck, I tried to shut my ears and hoped for the best with my dress, but I was nearly brought to tears when I put the dress on, and everyone was SILENT.
The seamstress had decided to redo the sleeves (understandable given the Y seam line), but had haphazardly sewn the lace appliqués. It looked nothing like the day before and resembled something a child was recruited to do. I could not understand how the lace was not placed in a similar manner when we reviewed it the day before and took photographs. I was given half-​hearted excuses like, «We don’t have mannequins as small as you.»
Unlike the other bride, I was not going to berate and badger the women in charge of the most beautiful dress I’ll ever wear in my life, but when the seamstress had the nerve to say, «Well, why did you purchase the lace like this?» (as in, separate from the netting — the only way I was allowed to purchase it; as in, the poor lace placement is not her fault), I responded to her that questioning things done in the past is not helpful.
We came to an agreement to remove all of the lace and replace each piece. I was glad to wait the agonizing five hours for this and left the store a relieved bride.
Aside from the fitting ordeal, there were other issues that warrant a warning to other brides:
— During the day of the failed final fitting, the owner’s sister had the audacity to ask me to pay the rest of my balance before the dress was finished. Debi told her I didn’t have to, of course, so that wasn’t really an issue in the end. Just a reason to raise one’s eyebrow…
— I was not allowed to apply the Unilocal deal because she no longer honored it, but told me to come back and use it for my dress preservation (I was obviously not going to come back after such an ordeal)
— The bustled train did not stay bustled, meaning I had to hold my train while dancing.
— I was instructed to bustle my veil by applying velcro. This did not work for more than one minute, literally. It’s my fault for not trying it before the day of my wedding, but Debi sounded so confident about this method. I really, really wanted to wear my veil during the reception and was disappointed during the first few minutes before I made my grand entrance.
— While I understand the difficulties of securing lace to netting, I am fairly certain that in exasperation, the seamstress glued some of my appliqués to the netting. This meant end pieces coming loose throughout my day. My reasoning for the glue theory is that the loose ends did not have a small piece of thread, as other pieces had when they came detached.
Overall, I would trust this business with less complicated wedding dresses, though my coworker who requested alterations in a bridesmaid dress ended up taking her dress elsewhere for additional alterations when FFAB couldn’t meet her expectations.
I hate to give a negative review to independently owned businesses, but in the wedding industry, it’s important for others to have fair expectations. While my dress came out «ok» in the end, I feel like it wasn’t quite the five stars it should have been.

Sometimes, a bad experience is just a blessing in disguise. After my awful experience here I was just about ready to give up on finding a competent tailor in Vegas that stands behind their work and has at least decent customer service skills… so much so that I started looking into places in LA for awhile before realizing how ridiculous it would be make at least 2 weekend trips out just to get my dress tailored.
Luckily, I found Habib on S Decatur who is amazing! His work is impeccable, his prices fair (less than half of what they quoted me here), and customer service fantastic so I wanted to update my review here to pay it forward to other brides looking for a great tailor for wedding dress alterations (look him up…5 stars across the board on Unilocal)…in case there are other brides out there like me who have just about given up hope of finding a great tailor in Vegas and think you don’t have other options.

Fit for a bride were amazing. I had a pleasant experience with them. Debi is wonderful. Definitely recommend her and I’m so glad I didn’t take my dress elsewhere because I did do my research and I chose right plus the shop is beautiful!

I got my dress in California and decided that it was best to find a professional at home than take the alterations offered at the shop where I bought my dress at and travel back and forth.
I called and by my luck it was right by their «happy friday» special where on certain fridays in the year they offer 50% most types of alteration items so I took the last open appointment for the day. It brought down the cost quite a bit, with only 1 items I needed done not discounted (the bra cups put in).
When I went the first time, their location was on Spring Mountain, but they have since moved to a bigger location on Windmill, the SE side of town. A little less convenient for me living in the NW, but no big matter when you need a quality alteration.
All in all, I had gone to them four times to get the dress right. First was the initial fitting to see what needed to be done around November and a majority was fixed by the time we got to second fitting in early February. I have a lot of tulle layers so there were slight tweaks needed to be done to lift it off a bit better for a outside wedding so she pinned that and created the bustle looping for my train.
A few weeks later I went for final fitting but the lining was showing when I moved around now that we brought up the tulle so we had to hem that up slightly. I came about a week later to quickly try it on and since the hem was fixed, they had it ready and steamed for me to take home. If on some chance it wasn’t she offered next day service to fix it since it was the weekend before my March wedding. They took no short cut fixes on my dress and the stitching was clean.
When a lot can go wrong in wedding planning, I definitely value working with someone that was super personable and reliable to give you quality work and service. Alterations was one of the easy parts of the wedding because the team here really are wonderful. Donna at front desk is a sweetie and Debi’s daughter was a big help too. Debi even broke her foot in the middle of their moving to the new location and took everything in stride and kept going.
I’m only planning to get married once so I’m a bit sad this relationship ends here. I wish I can just go to Debi for everything and anything I need altered as her eye to be detailed and get things right is exactly what you want.

Debi and the girls at fit for a bride are nothing short of amazing. From the moment I first called to book my appointment, I had a ton of questions and they were so helpful and accommodating to answer and sooth my nerves. You spend a pretty penny on your WEDDING dress for YOUR day and you want to make sure it will be in good hands as far as alterations go. Well, these are most definitely the hands you can trust!
I had 3 visits. My first initial visit and two fittings. Everything was done in a timely manner, with consideration of your date and making sure there was always time to squeeze in any last tweaks. I have my dress now, all clean and ready to go and my wedding is next week. It’s such a weight off my shoulders to know its all pretty and safely hanging in my closet.
You know when you see a professional of any kind and they do something for you and you worry you won’t be able to make it look the way they did?! My maid of honor was with me all three visits and Debi coached her how to lace my corset back so it’s done just right on the wedding day. She taught her how to bussle the dress as well. She was patient and encouraging each step of the way as My MOH laced and unlaced. It just made me feel confident and at ease that I’ll look just the way I did when I put that dress on for the first time, fitting my body perfectly.
My absolute favorite part about fit for a bride is that it is a group activity. Everyone is in the fitting area, they share in all your excitement and emotion. It is seriously an awesome experience on top of being a phenomenal alteration shop. They care genuinely about their brides, they love what they do and you can tell. That is so important.

Debi truly cares about her brides.
I procrastinated in finding someone to alter my dress. I knew I needed a hem and a bustle. My dress fit perfectly except it was much too long for my 5’2″ body. It wasn’t until the end of November (wedding Dec 20), that I decided I should start looking for someone.
I found nothing but awesome reviews for Fit for a Bride, so I decided this is where I’d go. I was able to come in for a consultation within the next day or so. I tried on the dress, and Debi confirmed I needed a bustle and hem.
My dress had tons and tons of tulle layers. Happily, I was able to get a simple bustle, a cute/​chic trick to bustling the rest, a hem that was perfect, and my dress & veil steamed for under $ 300.
Debi even had a broken foot and moved locations across the city in the middle of my alterations.
She and her crew rocked it and showed nothing but kindness.
I will ALWAYS recommend this place.
