Fat Tuesday

This is the first time I have had a drink from this frozen drink spot and I am thoroughly impressed. Most often you can’t taste the alcohol in a frozen drink and the buzz sort of creeps up on you. With every sip from a Fat Tuesday cup, you’re going to know that you need to pace yourself.
I am pacing myself now as I enjoy this 44 Magnum. It is the strongest drink on the menu which I believe is a mango flavored drink with 153 proof grain alcohol. My drink is mixed with something called category 5, and I may be on my way to being out old soon.
My lovely lady had the superman which is really delicious. It’s not as strong as the magnum but it has a bit of a kick to it. She typically doesn’t like blue frozen drinks, but this one hit the spot.
We had the smallest cup which are 16 ounces, so it’s more than enough drink. For 2 cups and 2 Jell-​O shots, it was just $ 20 bucks. For all the alcohol
In the cup, it’s really a steal.
The bartender was really cool and even disposed of our plastic jello cups after our lips were on them. Talk about service. He was also very knowledgeable about the drinks and gave good advice on what we should choose. Will definitely stop by a Fat Tuesday’s stand again.

Not even in New Orleans, but I’mma celebrate Fat Tuesday anyway!
Fat Tuesday has several locations in the U.S. (they recently opened up a new location in New York) but there are several located at various points along the Las Vegas Strip. This particular one is located in the Stratosphere upstairs (take the escalator from the casino floor) along with some food, drink, and shopping choices. I’ve wanted to try a Fat Tuesday during my first visit to Vegas, but it didn’t pan out. On my second visit I knew I had to make it a priority, and since I was already staying at The Stratosphere there was absolutely no excuse not to.
Fat Tuesday has cheap drink specials for things like PBR and Rolling Rock, but seriously it’s all about their daiquiris, or as I like to refer to them– alcohol infused slushies. They have several varieties to choose from with the Octane 190 being their strongest, and therefore, most popular flavor.
Another neat aspect of Fat Tuesday is that you can get their daiquiris in different sizes filled in various containers: classic tumblers, mugs, BIG mugs, yard and half yard schooners, etc. Very neat to walk down The Strip brandishing your big ‘ol drink (in case you have absolutely no clue, yes, it is legal to walk around and consume alcohol while along the Las Vegas Strip. eff da police).
Fat Tuesday’s also offers you the option to add a shot (s) to your daiquiris for an extra dollar a shot. Yes please! They also serve up Jell-​O shots (for $ 1 each as well if I remember) and what would the New Orleans Mardi Gras vibe be without iconic plastic beads; yes, you too can get some of those beads here. Oh no, put your shirt down. there’s no need for that because they too are also a dollar.
I had a blasty blast finally visiting Fat Tuesday’s and I liked this location as it was further away from the hustle and bustle of The Strip. Service here was quick and fantastic. I can’t wait to partake again!

I have been to Fat Tuesday numerous times in other cities and they always remind me of drinks you get at a convience store only this time you add a little alcohol! I always seem to order the same thing the octane 190 which is pretty much the most powerful drink there. They had the tall yard where you could put your frozen beverage but I decided to skip that and settled on a small mug with a straw. Fat Tuesday is definitely a fun place!

Fat Tuesday’s are concentrated heavily throughout the Las Vegas Strip. Although I wouldn’t call Fat Tuesday a bar per se, I would describe it as a great place to get some affordable alcohol on the Strip. The Fat Tuesday in the Stratosphere is on the second floor next to the McDonalds. The service was great– We were immediately helped and had a drink in hand within a blink of the eye. PBR’s are $ 3 for a 16 oz. can and jello shots were only $ 1. Where else can you get drinks at those prices on the Strip? This is why I’m now a fan of Fat Tuesdays. :)
The jello shot was insanely strong, but don’t take my word for it, I’m a lightweight. It was admittedly a little awkward to eat, so I went back to the counter to grab a straw in an attempt to stab out the jello. Instead, the server asked if I would like whipped cream on my shot before I could utter a word. Of course I would! He handed me back my now whipped-​topping jello shot with a straw to boot. I was one happy camper to say the least.

Awesome! The employee working was great and fun. She knew some really cool combinations to make some tasty drinks. I would go back just because of the service. She mixed the far left, strawberry and something else and it was perfect. She knew the alcohol content of each one as well which was Very Helpful!

Kinda mandatory to make a stop at Fat Tuesday while in Vegas. I got the 50 oz. football size and was feeling pretty good hours later. This location is consistent with the others. No problems here.

My first time in Vegas!!! Hopefully not my last. My friend said that I must get a yard drink. Yard drink, wtf is that? O_​o. He said it was those really long drinks that people were carrying around…(ooooh). Many places were seling them but I didnt know which place was good. I had one the day before (I forgot where). The flavor was goodbut it lacked the alcohol… so my plan was to buy a bottle of vodka and just have it with me and i’ll add it to my yard drink. (Yes, im cheap)
I bought half a yard drink for $ 14. I ended up mixing 3 flavors which I regret… yikes, diabetic shock. I ended up not drinking it all and I wanted to bring the cup back with me but that didnt work out.

Well according to the «Just Turned 21 Year Olds» like me, this is PERFECT. $ 14 yard dog and $ 11 refills, can’t beat that. They have the best flavors, my advice is to mix strawberry and margarita!

Perfect place for some liquid courage before you hang off the edge of seemingly the world in the Strat rides. Double up and get the yard!

The drink to get when you go to vegas is OF COURSE a fat tuesday!
Some friends and I ended up at the Fat Tuesday in Stratosphere and just went CRAZY with the $ 1 shots. I felt so bad for the guy working that night since he had to deal with all of our craziness but he was a good sport :)

Got the half yard. mixed with what Unilocalers suggested (Hurricane + Octane). with the extra shot. Delicious to drink especially due to the hot Vegas climate, but after a while, this actually made me sleepy once I neared the end. This is iconic of Vegas, so you are basically obligated to have a Fat Tuesday while you are here, at least once, if not, everyday.

Ah yes, legal open container law, how convenient of you Las Vegas. And what did you say? You have a Fat Tuesdays in my hotel? Yeah, I saw that. Huh? No I only went like 4x in one night and yes the next day too. yep a few times and you know what; I felt so bloated and sick and full and sugary and my pores were feeling so seepy and oh yeah drunk because there was a 151 shot is $ 1? That’s awesome.
Really though, they’re good. The one in Caesars had a shit-​ton of more options but this one was smaller and the people working here are pretty awesome. cough cough you know who you are (not that they’ll read this!).
I could not compare this ever though to my Zippys (Baton Rouge). This place was good, I could only take so much of it. it was like something you want really bad but know you shouldn’t have but you do it anyways and hate yourself for it afterwards.
I got a souvenir cup out of it though and that had a dollar cheaper refill at any location.

Go big or get the hell out of Vegas.
Everyone should start their days off in Vegas with one of these. (I certainly wish I did!)
They have fruity flavors which are yummy, but seriously, for the best buzz (or blur) for your buck — 190 octane with at least 2 shots of everclear. Towards the bottom, it’ll start tasting like ish, but keep stirring throughout and just man up! Guaranteed FUN for the rest of the day… and if you keep drinking, even more fun for the rest of the night… I make no promises for the next morning though. :D
[note: if it is particularly hot and you’re walking the strip, please be sure to have water on hand… you have a very high likelihood of passing out… I would know. :P ]

Slurpees for adults. Our original plan was to get some drinks and head to the pool, but the Stratosphere doesn’t allow outside drinks in the pool area. LAME
Anyways, my friends and I each got a yard size daiquri filled with alcohol. I got a mix of two flavors called Pimp Juice ($ 12) and an extra shot of Bacardi Rum 151 for only $ 1. Since we weren’t allowed by the pool, we just hung out at hotel room and drank. Geez, by the end of our drinks, we were tipsy and so full.

Recommending the Fat Tuesdays inside of the Stratosphere is kind of hard for me. It’s the easiest place in the world to get super messed up but that’s the whole problem. My last night in Las Vegas was capped off by a few last call drinks made of 151, than the puking started, mass amounts of vile red slime that caked the bathroom floor. Sorry for the graphic description but it was bad, funny and sad. I’m a veteran drinker but this weird little drink stand knocked me down hard with their sugar and Everclear.
The cherries soaked in ‘moonshine’ (or so the amazingly awkward bartender said) are brutal. No joking around, they will hurt you. Still, puke and pain aside, Fat Tuesdays is the most amazing chain bar I know of; perfect for tourists and pool rats. Better put, it’s like getting drunk at Wendy’s, every mall should have one.

take away the hookers, the gambling, the over eating, the strippers, and all the lights and your trip to las vegas can still be awesome if you stop by one of the Fat Tuesdays!
190 octane is the best daiquiri you can get its like a super spiked orange Slurpee! add a few shots of everclear and whether the rest of the world is standing still are not, you will enjoy yourself!!!
this thing could almost make Carrot Top look halfway decent. okay well that’s after about 5 of them and if you squint your eyes a bit and hold your head at a certain angle.

Today is Bash Fat Tuesday day… That means I get to copy my fat tuesday review and paste it on another one! Yes… I am the Fat Tuesday Slurpee bandit. Really… Get a margarita machine… Or better yet. Go to the Sev… and bring your own liquor and pour in about two oz of liquor per 16 oz of slurpee… Yes…rinse and repeat. There. That is your training class for Fat Tuesdays. You are now certified as a FAT TUESDAY BARTENDER. Thank you come again.
OK — Fat Tuesday = Not a bar.
It’s where 7 – 11 employees graduate to. Seriously a monkey can pour an adult slurpee. This place is for amateurs.

This place is is so great that words cannot explain it. A gourmet alcoholic slushie stand. I stayed in the Stratosphere and happened upon this Fat Tuesday on my way through the tiny mall. I didn’t leave for a while. I came back every day for the 50 cent Everclear Jello shots from 4−6pm. A great way to start a Vegas evening, but don’t stay too long, or you may have to head back upstairs to sleep it off.
