I am on Medicare. Weeks prior, after my referral was approved, I made my initial appointment, my first visit with a psychiatrist/psychologist in over 5 years, supposedly with a Dr X. I arrived @ Desert Behavioral Health(the incorporated name of Rosenman’s group) for my appointment. Immediately I am told by the receptionist«Oh, Dr X isn’t here today, instead you will be seeing Y». What? I fill out TONS of forms, pay my copay, and wait. My name is called and go into a room. I assume it’s a Dr Y, but I quickly discover that I am mistaken, and in fact Y(first name) is not a doctor. And I am never given a title. Y looks at my paperwork, takes notes, and immediately gives a diagnosis, which is unlike any diagnosis I have ever received over the past 3 decades of treatment by the many various doctors, all in Los Angeles. No definitive help is offered. This was a complete waste of time and money, and was extremely unprofessional. My spouse is FURIOUS. Needless to say, I will never return. And if you are on Medicare and are considering going here, I wouldn’t.

I was a new patient and the receptionist was very very rude, when she called my name, she sounded like a mean 5th grade teacher. She was the the fat one with the jacked up drawn in eye brows! Very unprofessional, just like her diet! Why is she still working there! They actually had me see a qualified assistant, and not a real doctor! I will never go there again, I hope no one goes there.

Disgusted with Rosenman and Smith as physicians. By their actions they could careless about patient care. My husband has been in accidents since I’ve last informed Rosenman about his addiction. What does he do? Hand it over to Julia smith and she bumps his dosage up. Thanks guys for trying to kill my husband. Thank you, apparently I’ll need legal advice here. Too much malpractice in this town

Dr. Rosenman is exactly what I need in a doctor. He is a Psychiatrist, not a therapist. If you need to talk out your problems for an hour every week, or need a doctor to be your personal cheerleader then he probably wouldn’t be a good fit. He is straight forward, efficient, and objective. He isn’t a cold robot though; he’s easy going, genuine and a pleasure to chat with. Therapy is not«my thing», I have tried many of times since my early teens and have never made any substantial progress when in therapy. However, I have found the right medications to keep me fully functional. I just need to check in with a doctor every month or so for 10−20min to make sure I am still feeling well, give a quick update on my life and get a refill on my meds(or adjust them if needed). Dr. Rosenman always see’s me within 10 minutes of arriving, we talk for 15−20min, he writes my Rx, and I am on my way. I am in & out in 30min and that is what I need. When I moved to Las Vegas 2 years ago I found Dr. Rosenman and have never been happier. My previous doctors were in the DC area and(without insurance) they were easily 4 times more expensive, they all insisted on weekly hour long visits as well as lots of tests and blood work every 3 months. Don’t get me wrong, these are not BAD qualities ATALL but as an uninsured patient in her mid 20’s who is on a good medication regiment(has been for years) and doesn’t respond well to therapy… this was a LOT of $ and time being spent, especially considering the main topic I referenced in these mandatory hour long sessions was financial stresses effecting my otherwise stable mental state. If you know what meds work on you, or if talk things out in painstaking detail doesn’t work for you then you will most likely love Dr. R like I do. Also, Idk why people are saying the staff is rude because I adore them. They know me by name when I walk in, they are always delightful, personable & very helpful. I probably spend just as much time girl-talking with them as I do in my session. I couldn’t stand seeing the negative reviews and this is actually my 1st Unilocal review; so I hope it helps. Additional Info: Female, 25−30yrs, Bipolar + ADD(diagnosed with both 10+yrs ago)

Dr. Rosenman is an «ok» doctor. I frequently waited a long time after my scheduled appointment to see him. On another note however, his office staff is incredibly rude and incompetent. I was charged a $ 50 fee for no-show, even though I called and cancelled my appointment. Apparently nobody checks the voicemail? This $ 50 then turned into $ 100 because I refused to pay it. Now it’s in collections, trashing my credit report. What kind of doctor sends someone to ~collections~ over a missed appointment that they actually called and cancelled?!
