OMG! Do I really see 4 stars on Unilocal for this «nail salon»?!
I walk in and no one cares at first but then one of employees looked at me and said: «Do you want something?» I’m kinda shocked but said that I wanted to take off my gel and get regular nail polish coating with some design. An Asian guy employee ended up doing my nails.
First off, I showed a couple of pics of nails I want. He said that it was all too difficult except the most simple design. I said ok then.
Removing my gel was annoying and long process. After he finished I saw a bunch of scratches on my nails. At that moment I thought to leave this place and find something else. Unfortunately, I stayed since my husband was waiting for me and I didn’t wanna make him go to a different place.
Painting nails was even worse experience. Color was uneven on some nails and the guy didn’t care about it before I pointed at it.
Let’s talk about nail design. It was horrible. That employee couldn’t draw a triangle! TRIANGLE!!! It took a miracle for him to draw that ugly triangle that I got at the end.
In the end that guy just left me with the fan on for over 7 min and went to do other person’s pedicure. I just asked the other employee where I could pay! He literally just left there saying nothing. I felt like in a comedy show.
I ended up staying for 1.5 hour just to remove my old gel polish and paint a new regular nail polish. And that’s without manicure itself. I paid 25 $ which is not super expensive but that’s a looooot considering what kind of service I got.
Luckily, my friend is a real nail professional and I can’t wait to get back to LA to see her!

I wouldn’t tell anyone to not try this place tho!

I went to Élan for the first time today to get my nails done for prom and I am so impressed! I will definitely be back. Throughout the entire process, she was polite and checked to make sure that the end product would be exactly what I wanted. At one point, I wanted the glitter on my nails to be a bit more bright and she was happy to accommodate. She went above and beyond. She was so sweet and definitely treated me with care. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Love Élan.

I have been going to Élan for over 6 months and she has never ever ever disappointed me. I always want the freshest newest hottest nails, long bright and extra glitter and she has always given me that. She is very funny warming but very blunt and honest when talking about your personal life. She is like a mom. She will give you advice and all. She recommends styles that she knows my personality can handle. She has the most decorative materials, glitters, tapes, jewls, 3D art that I have EVER seen a nail salon have. Thats gives me confidence that I will always be rocking something different and fresh. I would regret not calling ahead and make an appointment because the shop gets very busy and they do not have a large staff. If you plan to go make sure you make an appointment! She is very busy and she takes her time with each customer and gives a hundred percent with great customer service so please do her a favor and take a number and stand in line. The tools that are used in the shop are always sanitized or newly packaged. My regular is a gel manicure and XTRA treatment pedicure that always comes out to $ 110. The quality of the nails are the best i ever had she treated and healed my nails from a bad acrylic job done by another technician. The gel Polish lasts up to a month so I definitely think that I get the bang for my buck. I have a couple pictures in my iCloud that I will upload when I find them but the work she does is incredible. I have gone to other salons and I have been very disappointed. I have also gotten my eyelashes done here for the very first time and I forgot the name of the technician but she did a very great job and I was very impressed for $ 35. I do plan to do it again but with the mink expensive lashes. I have gotten my eyebrows and lips waxed here as well and that has always been a great experience for me too. I will not go anywhere else-!!!
Do I recommend the salon? Hella f****** yeah I do!!!

Élan is my favorite nail lady in Las Vegas! Amazing shape, quality, and design. It’s hard to find a kick butt nail lady… So glad I found her :)

I found this place by looking through countless nail shops on Unilocal and being super intrigued by the work of Jackie.
I wasn’t able to make an apt so I went in on a limb (Thursday 4pm). I was greeted by Élan who informed me she was the only one doing acrylics and I could come back in an hour. I drove around town enjoying the rain and came back to the salon at 5. I then waiting another 45 minutes before being serviced (I had no where to be so I wasn’t bothered)
I have been to the same nail salon for over a year (Henderson) and decided to try something closer to home. I watched her precision and attention to detail and felt very safe in Élan’s hands. She was very gentle yet made sure my nails were perfectly pointed, and no acrylic was left around my nails (huge pet peeve)
The one thing I noticed was Élan’s large collection of loose glitters and goodies for nail designs. I never like new nail techs to do designs before seeing their actual work but I’ll definitely be getting some designs from Élan or Jackie.
I feel they are lacking with the gel color selection but it’s totally made up with quality work. I would love to come again and try out a pedicure !
Overall, my experience was lacking with customer service but made up for with great attention to detail and quality work.

Élan just fixed me up after a terrible pink and white from another salon. She recommended that I get a new set since the old ones were all lifting and I couldn’t be happier! Instead of getting the typical pink and white I would normally do… I now have a acrylic base with a pink and white gel on the top. It’s much more versatile and will be cheaper in the long run!

Got my nails done by Élan and she frowned upon what I wanted on MY nails so I got what she wanted to do on them and when I decided I wanted some rhinestones on them she looked annoyed and offended as if these were HER nails.
My mother and sister went today and she said NO to what my sister wanted on her own nails and then with my mom she did the wrong color and wrong shape. She then complained about her cable bill and actually stopped doing her nails to show her the bill.
If you have an original idea you want on your nails do NOT go here or at least do not get them done by Élan. We went on separate occasions to the same lady and were all disappointed. Never going here again. We all dislike our nails.

I had a horrible experience at a different nail shop, completely messed up my nails and I’m really picky when it comes to my nails …
Élan amazed me with her work and I’m very thankful to have found her.

I went to Elans Nails as a last option, I needed to get a fill. When I got there a lady smoking a cigarette was at the door, she did not greet me instead she asked me what do you need, I told her a fill she said ok $ 17.00 I asked for a specific design that she had she said $ 23 and I ended up paying 37.00. While I was there I experienced bad service and unprofessional-​ism, couldnt the employees wait to argue about money after work? They dont have a price list anywhere in the shop. I felt like I was hustled. I would never go back to that shop. Poor vustomer service and misleading prices.

Today was my first day going to Elans Nail Salon. A man I believe his name was Collin? I’m not 100% sure, but he did my nails and I love them.
He made sure every part of my nail was coated correctly. Conversation was great. :) I give him 5 stars for sure.
I normally always get matte black nails, and I never switch it up, and I’ve been wanting to, he helped me out by still giving me the black I wanted, with Red glitter (now I normally don’t like glitter but it looked wonderful) he even said if I don’t like it he’ll be more than happy to remove it and give me more options, which gave me a peace of mind.
I don’t have anything to say about Élan or anybody else who works there, only because I didn’t converse with anyone else. Overall it was a good experience. Was 45 mins away from my house, but Its worth it.
Ill continue to go here & with a few more experiences, I’ll update my review to see if I’d recommend this place to friends/​family.
For now, definitely 5 stars. :)

First off Élan is a boss! She’s very cool and she does an amazing job. I loved my experience with the salon it’s very clean and pretty. My nails came out awesome I wish I had came to her much sooner.

Jackie is a nail art goddess queen and she brings LA quality to the plain Jane Vegas nail scene. Her stiletto nail work is creatively unparalleled in this city, and it’s only a matter of time before word of her quality blows up Élan Nails.
However, don’t consent to having your nails done by Élan unless you’re willing to have your manicure interrupted multiple times by her phone conversations.

I swear I couldn’t be happier with this place! What a FANTASTIC job they do!
I was in town visiting a girlfriend for her birthday and my trip was coming to an end. I needed to make a nail appointment before getting on the plane and decided to Unilocal a great spot.
After seeing the reviews about this place I decided to give it a try and trust me I am so happy I did.
I walked in on a Sunday and was greeted by a lovely worker named Kim. I asked for Élan and stated to her I needed my nails done but only wanted it done from the owner. Kim told me not to worry and called Élan on the phone. After a couple minutes, I had an appointment with Élan set up for 1pm that same day. AMAZING!!!
Kim was a nice lady upon walking in. Greeted me at the door and when I asked for Élan to do my nails she called her and made me an appointment on the spot. In minutes I had an appointment scheduled for 30 minutes after.
I came back in during my scheduled time and Kim did an amazing job doing my feet. There chairs are so comfy and the whole environment just gets you so relaxed. After Kim was done Élan was there to work on my nails. I showed her pictures of what I had in mind and she gave me her honest option on what would look best.
I have NEVER had a woman work on my nails only men so I didn’t know what to expect but Élan went ALL IN on my nails and decorated them to the fullest. This was my first time getting this design as well as the foil so I was excited when I had seen how it was done. After it was all done, my mouth dropped. SEXYY was back!
Prices are WAY MORE reasonable then in California! Whoo! Élan if you EVER want to move your business to CALI, please let me know!
I’m impressed with these woman. They totally earned the great reviews on Unilocal.I now have a go to place to get my nails done when I’m in Vegas!

I called and asked if they were available to do a full set and pedicure on me. I was told it would be a 15 min. Wait but she would be able to do it! (It was an hour before closing so I was glad she would take me) The wait was a little longer because the customer before me was being extra picky BUT they handled themselves well and when it was my turn they took very good care of me! Élan, the owner, stayed waaay after closing to do my full set and she didn’t rush to finish. She took her time and made sure I left happy! Which I did leave very happy because she left my nails way better than I expected! Very glad I came here Kim (did my pedi) and Élan (did my full set). I will definitely be back.

We found Élan on Unilocal and drove 30 minutes to the other side of town. She was very sweet and helpful and offered plenty of designs. I got a fill with a repair on 3 nails n a pedicure. They cut my toe pretty bad filing my cuticles and it was swollen for 3 days. All three of the nails that were repaired, broke within a week n one broke the day after. My bestie, got a gel manicure and was cut on one finger bc a hangnail was created while her cuticles were being cleaned and it was kinda infected n swollen n purple for like a week! One of her nails even cracked the same day n broke off the very next day and 3 more broke within a week! We wanted to go back for the designs but the quality just isn’t worth it at all.

When it comes to nails and nail shops we all want something different. Be it: 1. quick attention paid to ignored nails, 2. creative design, 3. foot and hand care, 4. pretty nails, 5. maintenance polish to make us «presentable».
For me, I want foot and hand care and simple, pretty nails. And even though that is not why people love Élan’s, they always take good care of me there.
They are known for fantastical nail art. I’ve seen some amazing things come from Jackie and Élan’s station. I don’t know how experienced other salons are with nail art, but I see those creations coming out of that shop every single time I go. They are always creating and designing there. This is a place you can pop in or make an appointment, but if you are looking for the creative stuff, you need an appt – Jackie is always busy.
I see lots of regulars and they know how to attend to customers moving even with a small staff. There are usually three-​four people working in the salon.
There was one particular incident that made an impression on me. We’ve all been in a business when an unruly customer has come in stirring things up. Those are some dicey waters to traverse, but I saw first hand how professional and careful Élan Nails was in just such a situation. A woman came in rudely wanting to have her nails done by Jackie and let everyone know she wasn’t happy that she was being pawned off on someone else. Even though things were tense, Élan stayed calm and even managed to remain respectful. That incident spoke volumes to me. I didn’t see even a hint of exchanged glances and side whispering about the lady. I’m sure they had plenty to say once she’d gone, but they were decent to her while she was there. And by extension, decent to all of us as well.
I love watching people handle situations with grace. Even when (maybe especially when) they don’t have to.
Did I mention that they do a mani/​pedi that lasts? This place is great and I am definitely a fan.

Stiletto-​tastic Nails! Had to make appointment but figured it would be worth it since I read her reviews and indeed it was.
From explaining her expert nail creativity she connivence me to try something different– stiletto nails of which I undeniably LOVE then she did a phenomenal job with my pedi and again convinced me to try something new & exciting– LOVED the black & white french!
If you really want the BEST & COMPLIMENTS for your nails this is the shop to come. Everytime I come to Vegas I’m definitely having my nails done here EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!

I was not at all please with my experience here. We had an appointment for 12:45, and didn’t get seated until 1:30. What’s the point of having an appointment if you still have to wait 45 minutes?
I didn’t catch the person who did my mani-​pedi, but he certainty didn’t take the time or care that the other nail techs gave their clients. I started a pedi the same time as another woman, and we both got the classic package, and I was done in half the time.
My manicure was also incredibly quick. I requested my nails be very short, and he didn’t even clip them. He quickly filed them, but didn’t do it properly and left jagged edges. He spent little time working on my cuticles, even after I requested that he clean them up AGAIN.
The top coat was slapped on, and it was obvious that it didn’t cover the entire nail. I asked them to redo the top coat, and was still left with a lazy job.
The woman who did my flower messed up, and was unapologetic when I requested that it be fixed.
I’ve been to many nail salons, but this one just did not put the care that I would minimally expect. I was incredibly disappointed, especially after reading the other positive reviews.
I will NOT be back.
