Dr. Vincent P Nalbone

Took my husband here because he’s had this weird cough for months now. The doctor acted like he could care less. Told my husband to have a sleep test done didn’t even bother looking at him to see if it was even necessary, if that was truly the issue. Took 1 ½ mo to even get that scheduled. That’s been done for a week now called the office to see if any results and they said they «just finished eating» and would call back and never did.

Ellen/​manager sucks. She lacks empathy and customer service skills. If you need to fire anyone, it would be this person. Right now.

I went in having an ear infection, I was referred to him from my primary. I booked my first appointment and he prescribed drops. I ended up having a reaction to the drops, I called the doctors office (after my pharmacy called numerous times) and the staff said that he wasn’t going prescribe new drops and to come back in. I did (was charged another specialist co pay) and then he gave me a new prescription.
The drops did nothing, I asked him numerous times to give me the drops my last dr gave me, but he refused. It just seems that all this doctor cares about it seeing you over and over to rack up his charges to your insurance company and getting you under the knife.
I recommend to STAY AWAY!

I won’t get into too many details here, but stay far away from this practice. It took him 2 separate surgeries to fix my sinus problem and he still didn’t get it right. You’re working at the mercy of his schedule, so prepare to wait for days if you need anything post-​surgery. Dr. Nalbone will talk to you like everything is peachy, but his shoddy work will leave you with a whole host of complications. Seriously, stay away.

Late last year I had been experiencing a slight hearing loss in one ear. While the issue had neither worsened nor abated it had nevertheless been ongoing long enough to be of concern to me. Despite a lifelong fear of doctors (silly perhaps but nonetheless) I ultimately capitulated and made an appointment with Dr. Nalbone. When he and his assistant entered my room I alluded rather casually to that fear of doctors I have. Rather than saying something (ANYTHING) to perhaps mitigate my anxiety his response was «sorry about that». This didn’t sit well with me as it seemed a fairly good barometer of the man’s bedside manner. Choosing not to dwell on this I let it pass and the exam continued. After looking into both of my ears and remarking that they were clean he did what I expected an ENT would do which was to subject me to an audiometer test. It was administered by another of his staff and the results proved conclusively that I indeed had a slight hearing loss in the ear in question. I asked whether a hearing aid might have been an option. At this juncture he said that it would however he wanted me to have an MRI. I looked at him and in a mildly sarcastic albeit pleasant vein asked if he thought it might reveal a brain tumor (as a card carrying hypochondriac I can attest that brain tumors are very near the top of the list of things about which we worry but seldom if ever happen). Expecting him to pooh-​pooh this notion and offer some less severe justification for the test he nevertheless looked at me and with a half smirk nodded his head in the affirmative. I thus concluded that this doctor not only couldn’t care less about my long held fears but seemed to make little effort to contain his amusement at my worsening anxiety. Rather than having been sent home with some ear drops which is what I fully expected would happen we’re now considering the possibility of a brain tumor or something else in a similar realm. I was about to ask whether he wanted to continue our conversation in his office or just go right to the cemetery when he said something that tipped his hand and put everything into perspective for me. He said that after the MRI I was to contact his office and discuss hearing aid prices with one of his office minions. Really!!! Would a hearing aid help with a possible brain tumor I wondered?
A week later as my hearing had begun to improve as mysteriously as it had declined I receive a call from his office telling me that they wanted to schedule me for the MRI. I told the young woman on the phone that I did not choose to subject myself to the procedure. This was met with a rather incredulous «WHY?»… I told her that my hearing had started to return in the ear in question (I doubt she believed that but it was nonetheless the case) and that frankly the doctor had scared the hell out of me. Like the doctor she made no attempt to veil her obvious delight at my fears and through her giggling told me that in the event of my reconsideration to call back so that they could schedule me for an appointment with an outside diagnostic center. I said I would if necessary and I thanked them.
Another week passes and my hearing is virtually restored to normal when I receive a call from Steinberg Diagnostic Clinic telling me the date and time of my appointment. WHAT APPOINTMENT??? I never made an appointment. In current parlance I believe the appropriate epithet is WTF? I was told by Steinberg that the appointment had been made for me by Nalbone’s office. I told them that I never sanctioned or authorized this and that it just wasn’t going to happen. Happily, that was the end of this nightmare.
The overall impression I was left with was extremely negative. It seems to me that this doctor is as much a hearing aid salesman as he is a doctor. Were I a betting man I’d run to the $ 2 window to wager that he receives a kickback from Steinberg and any other outside specialty practice to whom he might refer other unsuspecting patients. Never once during his encounter with me did he even SUGGEST the possibility that my hearing loss might have been the result of an infection or that it might only be temporary. Rhetorically speaking had there been even the faintest possibility of my having had a brain tumor why did his staff wait a full week to call me to arrange for the MRI after my initial visit? No, he’s sending me out to be assessed for cancer and then selling me hearing aids. His staff completely disregarded my refusal to have the MRI and had me scheduled anyway. I’d like to believe that there’s still an altruistic component remaining in medicine but the overt venality displayed by this doctor plus the absence of any attempt to at least make it appear like something else was to me very disconcerting. I don’t expect Marcus Welby but I also don’t expect a visit to a doctor’s office to leave me with an impression similar to one I get at PEP Boys when they’re trying to sell me a set of struts I don’t need.

I went in because I have chronic sinus issues. All the staff is very nice, but I didn’t feel like he did anything to help me. He prescribed a nasal spray and antibiotics. When I went back for the checkup he asked if I was feeling better, which I said it was about the same. He didn’t offer any advice or suggestions, just said ok hopefully that resolved the issue and to let him know if it got bad.

I never write reviews, but I have to make an exception. I called the office to cancel my appointment, stating I had gotten my test results that did not show anything and did not see a need to come in to the office if the doctor was just going to tell me to keep an eye on it. The staff convinced me I needed to come in and discuss the results and treatment with the doctor.
At the appointment, Dr Nablone did not seem to recall the details of my case what so ever. All he wanted to do was to relay the test results verbatim, tell me to keep an eye on it, and walk out of the room. When I pressed him for more information, he gave a weak explanation that was completely contradictory to what he had said in the past. When I tried to remind him of what he told me when I first came to see him and things that had happened during the test that weren’t written on the lab report, he dismissed it all entirely and tried to weasel logic his way out of looking stupid. If I was wrong, that’s fine but it’s your duty as a doctor to explain to a patient how and what the correct conclusion is given all the facts. He just pretended somethings weren’t relevant because he didn’t remember them at first. This doctor really gave me the impression that he either doesn’t care or is just plain incompetent.

Terrible experience. He says one thing and then says the complete opposite. No bedside manners and is just plain demeaning !!!

I just had my 6 month post-​op appointment with Dr. Nalbone and I am as happy now as I was in February when we went forward with my surgery. I had lived with obstructed breathing since I was 11 years old and didn’t know what I was truly missing out on until coming across this amazing doctor.
Dr. Nalbone and his staff took the time to discuss all my options with me; both non-​surgical and surgical. I never felt rushed, pressured or anything but important as a patient and a person.
I would highly recommend Dr. Nalbone and his practice to anyone with ENT concerns, minor or major, and I believe they will do their utmost to get you the result you desire.

I had discovered some lumps under both ears. I was referred to another ENT doctor in Las Vegas who I felt like was only trying to take my money — multiple follow-​ups, countless scopes down my throat, CT scans & a lot of wasted time and anxiety with no answers & no closer to a diagnosis. I also got denied by my insurance after all of that because they wanted to claim I had a pre-​existing condition but we had no diagnosis so how could it be pre-​existing if we didn’t even know what it was? Then I found Dr. Nalbone. After I went over my history with him, he asked a lot of questions & took a lot of time to answer mine. He suggested that we do a biopsy. He referred me to Quest Diagnostics who did the biopsy & gave the results to Dr. Nalbone within a week. The lump was benign! After a small battle with my insurance company, they decided to cover everything because they finally had a diagnosis. After all the stress the other doctor put me through I was so grateful to finally find a doctor who wanted answers as much as I did. I’m very glad that I found Dr. Nalbone. His staff was always professional & I never waited more than a few minutes to see the doctor. Thank you Dr. Nalbone for being confident in your decisions and giving me peace of mind which in my opinion is PRICELESS!

I have seen Dr. Nalbone and his staff for my sinuses and I have to say, after reading the other reviews, it makes me sad, I had a great experience with everyone in his office. They accommodated me with any questions I had and after my surgery, they fit me in to discuss my concerns about my healing. Dee, Marlena, they are awesome. Dr. Nalbone did a great job with my issues of breathing and his team is pretty awesome too. He is a patient doctor and answers questions in a timely manner without feeling rushed. Now that I am three weeks out of surgery I have to say, LOVING the results.

I don’t understand the negative reviews posted below, it’s unfortunate that they didn’t have the positive experience I had with Dr. Nalbone. Tonsillectomy is an AWFUL procedure to have done past age 10. He told me that probably a dozen times. He said I will be completely miserable for about a month. I first heard about him through Vitals and Health Grades, he is the highest rated ENT in Las Vegas and he had remarkable reviews from all of his clients.
I showed up for my initial consultation and he thoroughly examined my tonsils and agreed that they need to come out ASAP. I had my surgery scheduled for two weeks from my consultation date. I knew going into it that it was going to be TERRIBLE because he thoroughly warned me over and over again that it’s very painful. I have friends who have gotten theirs out in their adult age and they shared the gruesome details. Knowing what to expect I showed up to the hospital and he was more than happy to comfort my anxious nerves. He was there for me every step of the way and after the surgery he made sure to check on me and reinforce the instructions for the next few weeks.
I’ll reiterate one more time… THIS IS A MISERABLE PROCESS. YOU WILL FEEL AWFUL FOR A MONTH AFTERWARDS. If you’re basing the doctors skill on how much pain you’re in after a tonsillectomy, you clearly don’t understand the process. They are literally removing several inches of skin and tissue from the back of your throat. Every time you breath, swallow, cough, etc, you are in excruciating pain. There is no doctor in the world that can make this procedure painless, unless they’re drugging you to high heaven which is morally and ethically questionable.
The nurses followed up later that day to make sure I was doing well, again the next day, and the following day. I went in for my check up a few weeks after and although I was still in minor pain, I was thrilled it was over. It’s been almost a year since my procedure and I haven’t been sick since. IT IS SO WORTH IT. All of the positive Unilocal reviews of this doctor have been filtered or removed, so to get a good idea of who this doctor is, head over to Health Grades or Vitals.

Awful practice! I had two appointments that got cancelled the day of because the doctor had other things come up and then when they finally were able to get me in, they called the day of my appointment to confirm, well when I got there for my appointment the place was closed! I called and was td by the awnsering service that everyone had already left for the day. I called the office the next day to get some answers and was told rudely by the office gal that they had cancelled my appointment, I td her that I can show her my ohone with a voicemail of them confirming my appointment, she said «Would you like to reschedule or not!?». I said definately not and I will never go back to your office again, she acted as if she could care less. Awful communication, I will never recommend this place to anyone!

Dr. Nalbone, more like «Dr. Bonehead» did a tonsillectomy on me which resulted in being admitted into the hospital for two weeks for pain management. He and his staff were NOT sympathetic to my complications and pain issues after my surgery was done.
Once he had my payment and the procedure was done, I was yesterday’s news.
He is an ENT (ears, nose, throat) doctor, however come to find out his specialty is plastic surgery, face rejuvenation? WTF…
If I could go back in time and not have had him perform my tonsillectomy I would in a heart beat! I went through hell, was bad enough I was 31 at the time, this is really a procedure that should be done in your youth. He did not make it any easier for me.
You would think if a Doctor performs a surgical procedure, they would be attentive to aftercare such as prescribing pain medicine as needed. I was in a lot of pain. My throat was RAW. He prescribed codeine which did not even phase the pain. He says go to ER if I want something better. What kind of Doctor does that?
Yeah I did as he said and Southern Hills hospital ended up keeping me for two weeks my condition was so bad!!! The hospital staff was horrified when I told them how he handled my issue with the pain I was suffering from.
A lot of these Doctor’s in Vegas are Quacks! He is one of them in my opinion!
The next time I need surgery done or any type of operation I will drive to Los Angeles and see a real doctor at Cedars Sinai or UCLA where I know I will get good treatment and care.
Lesson learned in dealing with and placing my trust in a «Doctor» in Vegas!
***Fake Reviews previously posted I am sure of it, all have no picture and the only review they have posted. This Doctor and his staff are scum, does not surprise me they would create fake accounts and post fake 5 star reviews*** I am glad they posted a fake review otherwise I would not have even thought to have written my review regarding the horrific experience I had with this «Doctor». I attempted to block it out of my memory however is a good thing to save others from the hell and agony I suffered!

He is always right on time and very meticulous. He redid my daughters ear tubes, and she actually sat still for him so he could take one out in his office.
