DMV Service Las Vegas

Going to the DMV is never fun. This location used to be a breeze to get in and out. But now that people have to get this new Real ID card, wait times are horrible. I spent 4 hours to get my business done. Of course, the staff and courtesy are typical for government workers. Pretty rude as if I am imposing upon them by being there. My agent wanted to argue with me about the legalities of my name since getting married. Apparently she thinks she has a law degree. I think they should open a bar inside, it might ease the pain of the experience.

I’ve been coming to this DMV since it first opened, which not to many people knew about. You were in and out in 15min. Population in Vegas is rapidly growing, so no matter where do expect long wait.

Beginning 10÷1÷2020 — you will need to have a «Real ID Card». The «REAL ID CARD» has a gold circle with a star cutout. A «REAL ID CARD» can be used as identification for boarding aircraft, or entering federal facilities when identification is required.
Note: ANY CARDS ISSUED PRIOR TO NOVEMBER 12, 2014, REMAIN VALID UNTIL EXPIRATION. HOWEVER, THEY DO NOT CONTAIN THE GOLD CIRCLE. STATEMENTS ON FEDERAL OFFICIAL USE OR LIMITED TERM.
If I were you, i’d get this done before 10÷1÷2020 to prevent the crowds of people. Everyone will receive a letter in the ma from the DMV of these changes.
The cost is about $ 5.

Once my number was called, overall I was there for about 3 hours. I just moved back to Vegas from WA state and my DL expired. Got me a new Nevada DL and paid $ 44. I got talking with the lady who helped me and she very nice. Gave me a tip, said that if I ever need to come back, do it right before the doors close. They’re trying to get off as quickly as they can, therefore they start to speed things up. Good thing to know!

Really 2 ½ stars because I am not really A-​OK about it, however after re-​reading this old review I realize it was somewhat unfair. I said in my initial review that the fact I sat there for about 5 hours was mostly my fault because I was ignorant to how the system worked. I can’t blame them for that, granted it would have been nice for someone to explain it but to go all the way down to one star is unfair. I still don’t like it but now that I understand it better I don’t think it was as bad as I think. Also taught me to not write a review when it’s the heat of the moment, especially a DMV one. Will re-​visit again next time I use this system.

They do their best, guys. You just have ti be patient. Go there earlier so you don’t have to wait longer. That simple.

First of all, this is not the actual dmv, it is the service truck across the street. Now, 1 star because they tried to charge me over $ 700 for my registration. I of course said no and the actual dmv charged be $ 400. This service says they have a $ 50 fee but apparently it is a $ 300 fee. Dumb service that’s a waste of time now that the actual dmv has text to get in line. Don’t even waste your time stopping there

The DVM on donavan was good I have cdl so I can use it other DMV are lousy the one on Decatur made me stay there 7 hours to hand in paper work they need to hire more people they charge enough

Awful. The text system is like playing the lottery… Be here in 7 minutes or there are 366 people ahead of you. Took me 3 days to accomplish what I needed to. Each day holding on to my phone like a golden ticket. It doesn’t deserve this mandatory 1 star. But, on a positive note, the employee that helped me was very nice. (Poor girl)

This was a complete waste of time. Did the online text msg’ing thing so not to wait in line. Got the text alerts and still waited more time than they said I would. Not a good system. I mean, no one ever wants to come here but we do and when we do it sucks! Why? Why give us a time frame if you don’t stick to it? You suck!!! Balls.

Horrible process. The door and the Internet says this pathetic organization is open to 5 pm. However this is a lie. The now say they are too busy or over capacity at 415 pm and close the line for service. Can you imagine if the court house or Emergency room did this? SINCE THIS IS AN UNACCOUNTABLE GOVERNMENT AGENCY THEY DO WHAT EVER THEY WANT. WHAT A HORRIBLE PLACE.
