I guess he used to have a show at O’Shea’s called Wild Magic but now he’s at the Riviera as Wild Illusions. Let it be known, I was at the Double Down Saloon before we went to this show and the Ass Juice really did a number on me. So I was hella entertained but my sober friend(god bless her) also enjoyed it a great deal, so it works on both levels! Now, we did get discounted tickets from Tickets 2 Night(or whatever it’s called, at 4 Queens downtown) so we paid more like $ 20 so that made it even better. We paid for the«back of the house» tickets since I read it was a small theater(but I do believe I was reading reviews of the old show at an entirely different theater, but it still holds true) but since it wasn’t full, they ended up moving us just a few rows from the front! We did do «Dirk face» for the remainder of the trip; he had the very«look what I just did!» Cheesy Magician face down pat but when I’m seeing a cheap magic show, I want him to make that face! And I really enjoyed seeing the big cats, they were adorable. But even the tricks not involving cats were great; we were appropriately amazed by the disappearance and reappearance of things. My friends husband was in love with the lovely assistants, who did indeed keep it tight and look great. Since I was not in the market to go see a $ 100 show, this was perfect for our needs.
