I am writing a review for Sandy and Celine who were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to help my mother and grandmother secure their apartment – even driving across town after hours to get their application from another Destinations location. They have both been extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with at every level. We are all looking forward to my mother and grandmother living at Destinations Spring Valley with such caring and friendly staff!

Not much has changed here except much of our rent money went into gutting and rebuilding the office and clubhouse. We have another new manager who seems to be pretty good but she is now on maternity leave. Managers last about a year here. I have been here almost 16 years and have lost track of managers. Now a so called Leasing Specialist has returned to help with our missing manager I think. Her bad self is back and she thinks she is Destinations almighty GOD!.Initials KP. She decides if one has an emergency in ones apartment and most times with me she ignores my maintenance request as she did yesterday when my shower curtain rod broke and pieces flew everywhere. I could have been seriously hurt. Not mentioning one cannot shower without a curtain rod or curtain. I try my best never to call for help. I had to get a contractor friend of mine to come fix the shower rod for me. WE only have ONE maintenance person for 300 apartments. ONE where we used to have THREE!!! They waste water sinfully with sprinklers even going in the rain when we have rain and day after. Water runs freely in the gutters from broken sprinklers. I watched and complained for 2 weeks about a leaky valve that was running non-stop 24⁄7. Called the water authority and I think? That is what finally got them to fix it. So what do they do they tack on another $ 5.00 to OUR water bill. I now pay $ 20.00 a month for water for 1 person. So now they do not have to worry about wasting water in a serious drought, they just have the tenants pay for their water abuse. Another thing, they keep the grounds around the clubhouse and front of complex neat and clean. The rest not so much. I live on the second floor and it has been years since anyone has ever cleaned our front deck that has 3 apartments. I try to keep the pigeon shit cleaned up. I used to keep it pretty clean or clean as I could without using water but I am to old to be an Unpaid maintenance worker at a Senior living community.

I thought moving into a senior complex would be a quiet experience. I was wrong. My neighbor upstairs is the noisiest neighbor I have never met. They are constantly disrupting my peace and tranquility by slamming and dragging their mobility device across the floor. I have complained to management several times as they was woken me up many, many times in the middle of the night. I received a warning letter from management. I’ve been told that I can move — but was never warned of the noise prior to signing the lease. Management has not addressed who would pay for my move, reestablishing all my services, pack up my belongings and physically move as I am not able to do so myself.
