Desert Window Tint & Auto Glass

On my original visit in 2013 this place rated 5 stars. On my most recent visit with a new car, it takes a downgrade to 3. The car was returned dirty. Upon close inspection the tint was trimmed a bit on the sloppy side. Their prices have increased a lot. So over all it was ok — but nothing to get excited about. The quality in these tint places is determined by the individual doing the job. If you happen to get a talented guy — it doesn’t matter if he’s working out of his garage. If not, all bets are off.

This is my 2^nd car that I’ve taken to get my windows tinted. I was originally referred by a friend to go there because of the excellent work they did on her car. Now I can happily say both of my cars have turned out looking AMAZING!!! Just need to go back and get the sun strip done since they have to wait at least 20 days in between doing the front windshield and the sun strip. Both times I have gone, my wait time was under an hour.
I would highly recommend them :)

I honestly don’t have any thing good to say about this place. I believe that you get what you pay for. I spent about 200 dollars and it was definitely not a quality job. 1. The tint is blurry and doesn’t look right. 2 the customer service is terrible. They told me it would take about 45 minutes and it took 2 hours and they were not busy at all! 3. They left a total mess in my car ! I had just picked up the car from the dealer ship it was very cleaned and detailed. After they were done the liquid they use was all over the door handles, they left black marks all over where they were standing on the doors. I would never recommend this place to anyone. TRUST ME. If I could make this –5 stars I would.

I needed to get my windshield replaced. I called them from a drive by and they were able to help that day with no wait. And they were packed.
Very professional and courteous was Armando, the service tech that installed my windshield.

Bait and switch. I brought in my brand-​new vehicle in for a tint job. It originally had a cheap tint job that the dealership puts on their vehicles. I did not like the shade of tint so I brought it to this shop for new tint. We agreed to, and I paid for, to have all of the old tint removed and replace with their high quality, darker tint.
Two to three days later I noticed bubbles and different shading through out the film from the inside of the car. After further investigation they added film over the existing tint. I went back and had to go back and forth with them on the job. They did not want to give me a refund. I allowed them to do the job as we originally agreed and ended up with sh*tty work.
I had to visit a different company to have a professional looking job done. I will never use this shop again. I wonder if it was even the higher quality film that I paid the extra money for.

Spend your money elsewhere for tint, not worth the headache dealing with poor workmanship and poor customer service. Still THE WORST tint place.

had my car redone 3 times and the last time taken there they managed to damage my window seals on top of getting my seats wet and dirty
employees including owner beat around the bush and will give any excuse, and even say the car came in like that in order to get you out of there.
They sell you the expensive tint and install the cheap one.
Stay Away from this Place!
Damage done to my car has not been fixed by them. They don’t pick up the phone and when going to the shop they say only CHRIS (the owner) can authorize repairs
Even dealing with CHRIS is like dealing with a wall.
I will not take my car there even if a miracle happens and they own up to their mistakes because most likely they will find another way to damage my vehicle.

I don’t know what other people went through but my experiences were great with these guys. Never any peeling, very fast and great prices! The location sucks, but I left a happy customer.

Poor service. Owner could care less and maybe that’s why he’s struggling financially.

They need to learn some business ethics. they have Poor workman ship. I will never come here again. If anything goes wrong with your tint than good luck… what a bunch of gypsy’s over there. They only want one thing. Your money! They don’t care about there customers at all!

Came into this shop by the reviews it has here on Unilocal.First the service was great, they weren’t rude or anything compared to most other tint shops around here in vegas. Has soon as you walk in they have 4 different types of tint on their wall with the prices and how dark of tint you can get. I was surprised that their prcies were set, which caught me off guard, usually other places charge people tax etc bs. I waited for them to take my car and get my tint done which took about 1 hour which isn’t bad for how many people were also waiting for theirs to be done. Towards the end when my car was all finished up I *had to be one of those people i know* asked to see if they could put a film of tint on the front window, they automatically said «sure, no problem» without any hesitation or charging me anything extra! very happy with that.
I would recommend checking this place out at least to see their prices and what they have to offer.

Great experience! Chris was super helpful and knowledgeable and gave us a great price on a very difficult glass repair. I highly recommend any repairs or tint jobs be done by these guys.

Worst place ever. Do not go there please for the love of god stay away! Very sloppy work and got my car back with the seats all wet, glue every where, and Black scuff marks on my ivory seats and door panels. Besides that they kept me there most of the day because they kept messing up and had to redo the tint.
Consider yourself warned.

They promised to redo my tint after they had messed up. So I had gone back to their store to get it fixed, but they would tell me that they didn’t have enough film (you’re a tinting place, how do you NOT have enough film?”, or they’re too booked when they had already told me that whatever time I went (which was multiple times) was going to be available.
Till this day, after they «fixed» the tinting on my Civic, there are STILL bubbles… Luckily, I have a lifetime warranty… aka…a lifetime warranty of constantly getting my tinting «fixed» by them since they can’t get it right the first OR second time.
All in all, their customer service sucks. But you get what you pay for I guess.

Would never come here again. They did such a poor job the first time I had to go back and get it redone. I had the car washed twice because they make a total mess of the car. The spray or cleaner they use gets all over everything. I also had to pick off the glue from in side the door and some was stuck on the outside.
Very disappointed.

I thought that they were a great place to get my car tinted. Reasonable pricing, fast service, excellent results. The only drawback was their waiting area was a little shabby. I didn’t like hanging in there for the 90 minutes it took to get my car tinting. A word of advice, just cross the street and get a sandwich at the Subway, or leave your car and pick it up later. I didn’t enjoy my wait in the office.

Sorry for the late update, but after I RE-​went to this place to fix my tint. Everything so far seems to be good today has been over 2 weeks since my first visit. After it stops raining in Las Vegas I’ll wash my car and take a more detailed look at my tint and update the review once more.

I wouldn’t pick this place if it was the last tinting place on earth! First I go in there to get new tint on my windows and it took 3 and a half hours!!! Then the girl that works there backs up into my car!!! To make matters even worse the owner was inappropriately rude to me! On top of everything when i get my car back there are old tiny pieces all over my car and they broke something in it!!! I will NEVER go back to this awful place.

I was very upset with the first place I went to to get my window tinted because I bought a groupon for $ 99 and didn’t even get to use it. Desert Tint was the first one that popped up on my yellow pages mobile and so I gave them a call to see how much it would cost my car to get a tint. The quote the guy gave me on the phone was $ 125 for my Mazda 5 since they were having a promotion… SCORE, made an appointment since that was the best price I could find.
I am very happy with my tint and to top it all off the price was right! I would recommend this place.

I was refered by a friend to get my two front windows tinted here. Called them and got a quote of $ 50. Called a couple of places around town to see how much it would cost for the same job and it was much more.
Decided to try them out. They are open on Sundays!!! First come, first served policy. The place was a little tricky to find, I thought it was a Smog place before I saw the «Desert Tint» on the door.
The inside of the building could be cleaned a little more, but hey, if they do a great tint, who cares what the lobby looks like!
Couldn’t be happier with my car, they had me out in 20 minutes! Now i’m rolling around Vegas in tinted style!
