Desert Radiology

Thank you to Chris in scheduling who managed to find an open appointment time for my daughter’s MRI for the very next morning. The technicians were very kind and considerate of not only my daughter’s needs, but also of mine. I am so grateful for everyone we encountered.

Had a scheduled MRI for my noodle because of a car accident last year (one of many), first thing in the morning. Was greeted by the receptionist in front where I signed in and gave up my ID and insurance card.
After filling out only about 5 sheets of paper and turning it back in I was called within 5 minutes, SCORE! Maybe because I scheduled the appointment early I got called so fast?
I put my belongings in a locker and went into the MRI room, the tech was super cool, asked me what kind of music I liked. Wasn’t sure what they had or what my selections were so settled on top 10’s.
The whole thing lasted 18 minutes, so fast. Was in and out of the place in under 45 minutes. Definitly faster than Steinbergs, would prefer to come back here for any future scans I may need.

I guess when you have an appointment here you don’t have to wait very long, even though the waiting room is always crowded.
I was here for an ultrasound and, as before, I liked that the table had a real sheet instead of the paper. But the tech, though not unpleasant, didn’t impress me.
Ultrasounds, if you’ve never had one, are a piece of cake. The only downside is the messy, gloppy gel that they have to use. Since I’ve had a fair number of these procedures over the years, I know that after they finish, they wipe off most of that goo. This tech did not. She asked if anyone was waiting for me in the lobby, otherwise she’d stay outside and show me a shortcut out of the maze of those back rooms. And then she left, leaving me to wipe up that crap with the towel that had been on me during the ultrasound, which was already covered with it. What a mess! Luckily, when I got off the table I saw a small pile of clean towels (at least I hope they were) and finished mopping up.
And for that reason, I’ve downgraded them to two stars.

Professionalism and Respectful privacy are NOT in their front desk training manual. Instead you get a raised voice from some Millennial calling you by your first name only like we are teammates instead of a professional medical office. The front desk girl is just calling out procedures like fast food combinations. Not taking into account the gravity of a patient’s condition. The tech that did my modality was nice and knew her job well. The doctor was also very professional so it can be taught to the youngsters in the front. Overall, first impressions of DR Cathedral Rock are underwhelming.

I was impressed with the on schedule facility with a pleasant staff. Vickie my CAT scan technologist was awesome even though there was no fault problem of DR she went above and beyond the call to duty. The issue was resolved and revisiting DR this week. I appreciate the professionalism and care at DR.

I called early this morning to get mammogram film for a doctors appointment I have tomorrow and I was told to call back after 8am to order it so it was ready when I got here after work. I called back after 8am and was told I need to just come get the film after work. I arrived after work and the first thing I’m asked is if I called ahead, seriously??? I’m stuck waiting now forever while the prepare the films for me. Someone just didn’t want to do their job this morning, crappy service, that’s why I’m going to West Valley Imaging for my follow up!
They missed the giant MASS I have in my breast anyways (even though I told them before my mammo). This place is a scary production line type place that gives NO personal afternoon to what I told them I was there for, 3 lumps in my left breast that can be seen with the human eye, but no doctor sees you, they just look at the film and send a report. I clearly need a biopsy and got no help from this place since my mammogram came out «normal»

The staff is nice but what’s the point in making appointments when you end up waiting 45minutes to be seen. It’s rather unprofessional. I wish this place was more organized and it’s not just at this location.

Was referred here by my doctor. The wait was about normal for any procedure. The tech was awesome, making sure I was comfortable during the testing. The part about this facility that sucks is the billing. I agree with a previous reviewer. Never got a bill, even though they had all the information off my id. Never go a phone call, even though they had my phone number. So they turned it over for collections. WTH? Really. Apparently your billing department turned over my info and they had no problem reaching me. So even though you have wonderful techs and not so bad wait times, I’ll definitely be headed back to Steinberg. At least their billing departments gets it right

I arrived for my appointment 3 whole minutes late. I then waited in a line for 5 minutes to be able to sign in. I handed the gentleman my inurance card, ID and patient form that I had taken the initiative to print up and fill out th night before. He didn’t want any of them and told me to have a seat… OK… About 10 minutes later I get called up to another desk by another very nasty young girl who tells me they don’t think they can give me an ultra sound because I was late. Granted, it is now 18 minutes after my appointment time because they made me wait for 15 minutes. She says she will go back and check and see if they can still do my ultra sound after all. She comes back and says no, I will have to re-​schedule! I said, «you have to be kidding me.» I am trying to find out if I have cancer and you are going to cancel my appointment because I was 3 minutes late? I have been here before and have waited between 30 minutes and an hour to be seen. See, they can waste your time for hours, but if you are 3 minutes late they are going to treat you like a criminal and don’t care if you live or you die. If you need to find out if you have cancer DO NOT go to Desert Radiology, becauase they are rude, nasty, and don’t care if denying you service costs you your life.

I believe Diane was my tech and I believe I had her last year as well. The front office appears organized and friendly and I am always called back in a timely manner. Diane was very professional and knew exactly what to do. My test was comfortable and quick and I was on my way. Also, the result letter is sent out quickly, putting your mind at ease. Highly recommend DR for mammograms.

The staff is attentive and caring. This is a very busy office and it is helpful to have all your documents and referral ready. Despite having set an appointment, you’ll have to wait… give yourself time.

This place is such a horrible place. Make my daughter drink 48 oz an hour and half before the pelvic abdominal ultrasound… been holding pee for almost 2 hours. Been sitting in this dumb office for an hour now. and all they can tell me is running behind. Meanwhile my daughter is hurting already with her bladder to burst.. as much as they charge for all these tests they have the worst customer care ever
Also. came in 15 mins before our appointment.. Out of courtesy to your clients get more employees. .for sure u avoid overtime. why you guys over booked damn appointments you can’t handle. But of course you all care about money that’s what it is. in the mean time… people suffer. No utmost respect for people’s time. If you don’t have enough sonographers. don’t over book your day. And finally our sonographer was amazing #canutellmysarcasm

I Don’t know if those bad reviews for Desert Radiology are for real, but i had a great experience. Place was packed, i thought i was gonna wait at least an hour. But i was wrong! after i signed up, the receptionist called me from the desk and 10min later i was in for my X-​rays. Receptionist was super nice and friendly as the radiology specialist lady. Very polite, very educated and super super friendly!!! Overall this was my best experience from all the medical services here in Las Vegas!

They scheduled me at the wrong place for an ultrasound where I had to hold 48 oz of water for an hour and a half. No apology, no help with rescheduling. The woman who was checking me in told me to empty my bladder and start over and go to another place since they Scheduled me for the wrong place and I asked where I could get water and she pointed to the water cooler. You know, the ones with the tiny cups. And I said «I’m supposed to drink 48oz from the water cooler with those Shot glass sized cups?» And she responded snidely by saying «you can drink as much as you want». They were very inconsiderate, rude, and lack compassion. I even called them several hours before my appointment and they confirmed it was at this location when they actually had scheduled me at another one. Very poorly ran and rude staff.

After a major problem yesterday with the STAT order for an MRI (faxed the day before) not being taken seriously, and completely wrong insurance verification information, I posted a one star review.
I have since been contacted by Corrie R. Thank you for getting me in sooner– tonight. I appreciate it very much.

Visited this location today for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. This was my second experience with this location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had little to no wait in the waiting room. The rooms I was in for the two separate test were clean. The staff was personable to make the test seem to go faster. I do recommend this place.

2 nd patient through the door for a walk in X ray on Saturday morning waited over an hour to get seen. Girls just sit and chat behind the desk. Go somewhere else for any imagining.

After entering I signed in and then waited ten minutes, and still no one acknowledged me. So I went to front desk and said I was new to this service, she told me to fill out paperwork. All the ladies behind the front desk were very busy chatting. Where is customer service these days!

Sucks. Filthy dirty. Unprofessional Tell your doctor. Tell your insurance company to stop using this grease pit. This is not health care, this is lack of health care

My wonderful PA sent me here to get my back X-​Rayed, and lemme tell you the receptionist is a hoot! The wait was short, you walk in, grab a number and sit your booty in a chair and wait to be called. I figured I’d be waiting a hot minute, but I literally waited a hot minute!
I went to the receptionist and we started talking, she was such a sweet heart and took my humor like a champ! Now normally you get some stuck up ppl, especially at 9am, but she wasnt! I had her laughing and she said thanks for starting her day out great :) I wrote a stellar review for you Miss Deborah!
I sat back down and waited for my name to be called. The waiting area is semi big, has a TV and a nice selection of magazines. I almost grabbed the People Magazine when I heard my name. There was probably around 20 people waiting so I was shocked it was this quick! I went back with my X-​Ray tech and she asked if I had any metal on my pants (I laughed bc I was wearing leggings) and I said no with a smile. She told me the norm: Take off your bra and shirt, put the gown on and lay on the table. I loved that the gown actually fit and before I knew it my x-​rays were done!
Overall I had a wonderful experience here and will def go back if I need to :)
