Desert Paradise

My husband and I went on a 2 ½ hour presentation. Prior to going we were promised a $ 100 gift card. After my husband signed up for it and the women took his license and we thought wrote down all the info she needed. After we got to the room we were called 3 times after that asking for a address and I gave it to her twice (Emily, Pat, and the Manager) The day of the presentation which was the next day I got a last call that morning 6÷3÷16. She claimed that I could go over at 10am. I did a 2 ½ hr presentation and they told me to go to the front office to get my gift. I did and when I got their the women refused to tell me why I wasn’t getting a gift and called the manager on staff and she told me since they had the wrong info in the system she could give me my gift. My husband blew up because we wasted time and no one bothered to tell us not to go or give us the option. He was yelling and asked as a manager wasn’t their something she could do? She said she could give us a stay in the future, and a $ 50 gift card. My husband told her that wasn’t good enough. We wanted what we were promised. She said she wouldn’t do that and she didn’t like the way he was talking. My husband told her I will talk how I want too. She then called security, he came up and we spoke and everything was calmed down. The manager of the resort was there when this occurred. Once we came back into the office we paid for 4 more days. When I came back in the manager apologized and so did I for my husband behavior. The manager took our payment (Julie) and said everything was fine and we left. An hour later Brad Freel, Julie, and the security guard showed up at our door. Brad was extremely disrespectful and didn’t care what happened he stated he wanted us gone because of how we spoke to his employee. He said he will refund us our money which will take 3 – 5 business days to get it back. I told him I had a 2 seater and needed help. He said I want you gone in an hour or he will have us kicked off the property for trespassing. I told him I need to know my rights before I just go. I asked for the GM several times and was denied. He treated us as though we had no rights and his negativity took over. Opposed to him coming to our door apologizing he came with a very authoritative position. Once the police arrived they told me this is a civil issue. This issue could have been handled completely different but because you have people in place that are very emotional and the manger didn’t take accountability for the problems her team created. If they didn’t like they way my husband acted why did Julie take my money after that? They stole my money for at least a week because I can’t use it. Brad and the concierge manager showed no grace, empathy or professionalism. I want to file this complaint so they get the business practices together and stop lying to people. Someone needs to lose their job putting my family out on the street!

Stayed here last summer and the experience was fantastic! It’s a home away from home! No problem with anything. Their wifi was fast too. The prices were unbelievable to stay the weekend. Definitely one of the biggest secrets in Las Vegas. Especially if you have a family, this place is perfect for the little ones at the pool area.

This was big enough for 3 adults and 3 small kids, felt like home away from home. They are serious about checking out on time, don’t miss the check out time ;)

Really nice place — would have liked to stay longer. It seems like a good base to explore Vegas and the surroundings. As others have said, it’s converted condominiums, and their furnished really nicely/​comprehensively. Since they’re condos, they have a small living room area, small breakfast/​dining area, kitchen, and big bedroom and bathroom. They even had a washer and dryer, and two TVs (one in the bedroom, one in the living room) and central A/​C (no janky wall units!). Towels, tissues, etc were nice high quality, and they even provide a can opener in the kitchen (and dish rack, microwave, stove, oven, paper towels, etc). For the price, it was an exceptional value. We got in late (around midnight), so buzzed in at the gate, but it was no problem. Two very alert and nice staff were in the main office, really (shockingly) efficient and chipper throughout the stay. The one guy I think wanted to invite us to the sales pitch in the morning (I think they sell potential time shares in the condos?), but we were tired from traveling so cruised by as soon as we got our keys. 2 nice pools and a kids water play area looked fun. Even gas grills for bbqing, and a whirlpool. Pretty first rate, and close to everything you could want (freeway, strip, downtown).

Took my husband this past weekend for his birthday and had a 2 bedroom. It was us two including 2 other of our friends. I love the fact that you have your own spot like a condo. And not have people right next to you. The rooms were clean and very spacious. The rooms come with everything from having your own kitchen and utensils to even having a washer and dryer. We didn’t try out the pool but it did look nice. It’s not on the strip but it’s only a five to ten minute drive. Nothing too far. And has lots of stores and food places around to get something to eat. Overall our stay was fantastic and we will definitely be staying here again.

I found this resort at a great price through Travelocity and booked it in conjunction with my rental car for an even better deal! Here are the highlights of this property:
1) Former condos so each room is actually the size of an apartment including full size washer/​dryer, walk-​in closet, kitchen, and living room.
2) I have to give the bathrooms their own point. The tubs are huge. This is the first «hotel» shower where I have not fought with the shower curtain the entire time. The toilet is also in a separate room. *Bonus* in my book!
3) 2 separate pool areas with hot tubs, one for adults only! (Yay!) This is also enforced by security, as we witnessed during our stay there, when children were in the adult only pool for a couple of minutes. There are nice grills out by the pool for public use.
4) Location is great! West of the strip, near the Orleans you can be anywhere on the strip within 10 minutes. They do also have a shuttle if you prefer not to drive.
5) The property is also secured after 6 pm by gates. You have to have your key to get in the gates. I think this is a great security measure. I also saw other security on property in the parking lot during our stay.
Yes, they give you their pitch as part of the Diamond Resort International Group. However, it was nothing more than about 3 minutes after checkin. It may be something you are interested in. If not, no big deal. We will definitely be staying here again when we are in Vegas. I love not having to deal with the crowds of the casino and I love being able to park closer to my room than the giant hotels on the strip. The traffic on the strip is so congested and crazy! My other tip is to request a 1^st floor if you have a problem with stairs or if you have large suitcases. They do not do a daily maid service here, but we did not find that to be a problem at all. The property is well maintained and very clean. We found everyone to be friendly. We requested a late checkout on our final day and they gladly accommodated us.

Home away from home, completely equipped! Convenient location easy access to the Strip!

Clean and large rooms. Easily sleeps 6 people. Full kitchen which is helpful because there’s no restaurant. Location isn’t great for tourist stuff but has a scheduled shuttle to the strip. All the appliances you need including washer and dryer. Staff was very kid friendly. Game room has pool and foosball

Don’t buy show tix from the concierge here. They lie and say that they have discounted tickets but really they want you to listen to the time share sales presentation. If you don’t, the tix cost more than face value. And the manager is a jerk.
The fitness center is also sub-​par.

We choose to stay here for my brothers 21 birthday. We had a total of 6 in our party and this was absolutely the perfect choice for us. The price for the accommodation was very reasonable. We asked for a different room when checking in. We wanted a room closer to the pool and that is exactly what we got. Room 147 is literally 15 steps from the pool gate. They have multiple pools and spas. The kids splash pad is separated by a gate so there’s very little risk of drowning. Everything we asked for was brought to us without hesitation. This is a great place for families or large parties.

Loved it here, I stayed here for 3 nights about 2 weeks ago in a two bedroom.
PROS: It was nice and quiet, the grills worked great, and the staff was kind.
CONS: the carpet had a huge black streak in the living room (dirty-​bring house shoes), the small security lady was creepy, and last but not least I tried to run a hot bath but the water started to turn cold after running for 3 minuets :(
Overall it’s better to me then staying on the strip because I can bring healthy food VS eating out every day. I’m actually staying here again this weekend. This time I will try out the pool.

Rooms are comfortable, clean, beautiful. Staying here was a great experience minus my room not being ready when I arrived at check-​in time, 4pm. Also, they offer you a «gift» which is not really a gift… They ask if you’re interested in attending a 90 minute breakfast while you hear them talk about time shares or something. Supposedly if you attend this meeting you get free dinners and shows on the strip (they’re not even top motch shows)… But if have to pay a deposit in case you don’t attend the breakfast. I declined their offer because I feel like there must be a catch and because I didn’t feel comfortable signing their paperwork, and was given a bit of an attitude for doing so… All in all I finally got to my room at 4:40pm, I felt like they wasted my time with their aggresive offer.
So for the most part good! Except for the 4pm check in and 10am check out. Couldn’t the check be a little earlier and the check out a little later? Just so it’s more fair to the guests…

Great place to stay. Good for kids very spacious rooms. and like a 10 minute drive to the strip. Definitely we will be back!!!

Wow! Truly impressed with my stay here. This is a perfect place to stay if you have kids. Not far from the strip, and surrounded by awesome eateries! The pool was amazing along with the Bull brand BBQ grills. The shuttle driver John did an outstanding job driving my family to the strip. Also the rooms were spotless clean! I could not find one thing wrong them. Everything looked brand spanking new! The beds were super comfy and even the pullout mattress was impressive!!!
I didn’t buy into the «presentation» and skipped my «free gift“I knew that they were trying to sell me a timeshare. I skipped on that presentation and just enjoyed my stay. Also very safe place to stay and quiet.

So it’s pretty obvious that this place was a condo or apartment complex now converted to a resort by Diamond Resorts, International… but that’s why it’s amazing and awesome!
The suites (suites? Who am kidding!?) the Apartments are incredibly spacious! Every unit has every amenity you can think of from a full kitchen to flatscreens in every room, swanky coffee maker, full fridge and a full washer and dryer!!! Wow!
The location is very convenient to the strip. It is minutes west of Palms and Rio and a few more minutes to the Aria and Planet Hollywood.
Would definitely recommend staying here if you like your space and enjoy a home away from home in sin city.

Desert Paradise Resort is a perfect place to stay with your family. It’s away from the strip so you won’t have to be in all the traffic getting to your hotel, but it’s also close enough to enjoy the Vegas scenery with just a 5 minute drive. We booked the 1 bedroom suite but upon arrival I asked if an upgrade was available, and they upgraded us to the 2 bedroom suite free of charge! The suites are huge!!, with a full kitchen, washer and dryer, patio, or balcony and TV in every bedroom. The bathrooms are very spacious as is the kitchen, dvd player and a dinning room table to enjoy nice family dinner. The only complaint I have is that the floor can be a lil cleaner, make sure you have slippers on at all times or socks because your feet will be filthy in just ni time at all. The carpets aren’t stained or discolored or anything like that, it’s just needs to be vacuumed. For the price, and the size of this place and with all the amenities you get, this is a no brainer! You won’t be disappointed.

I was here on a work trip so I didn’t pay for the room, but I know we only paid $ 100 a night. For twice the price it would still be worth it. They have 6 grills that are available to use. They have an adult pool and family pool.
Also, most likely you won’t spend a lot of time on the room, but they are huge. Full kitchen and washer an dryer in the unit.

Absolutely brilliant. Slept 8. Had 8 of everything, mostly brand new. Lovely towels, good beds, fabulous kitchen, appliances and utensils. TV’s in the lounge and both bedrooms.
Great pool for adults and separate kids pool and water farm too.

This is one of this pleasurable places you can only hope to stay at. I was able to bring my kids here and have an enjoyable stay. We arrived late in the afternoon, which was fine, but knowing the area I was expecting to have long lines to check in, of course this was not the case. The front desk personal were very friendly and helpful to everybody in my group, this would including giving us water after our long trip and some needed restrooms too, that was pointed out for them to use.
After doing all the paperwork, we were directed to the location of our room, which was a very nice two bedroom condo. The places was clean, and well maintained. This place looked like it could have used a small update, but in general I have been to other places that still looked like the décor was still in the 70’s. This was not the case here, the washer/​dryers were a big plus, this is why we did not pack to heavy as I could do laundry here.
The kitchen was clean, the restroom were very clean, the bedroom were very nice and clean. The pool area and all other common areas were very well maintained and should invite you to come back for another stay. The strip is ¾ of a mile away which is not too bad, but when you main focus is not the casinos, then this place is great. We were able to do so many attraction both away from the strip and on the strip.
You have plenty of places to eat close by, not within walking distance but close enough to jump in the car and get what you need, including a 4 for less store.

I had the delightful experience staying in the Desert Paradise– 5 min drive from the strip away from the craziness and neon lights.
Got a sweet deal from Priceline for $ 79 and was upgraded to 2 bdrm 2 bath, walk in closets, with washer dryer, full kitchen, spa pools— the works! Staff were professional and super kind and thoughtful.
Felt like gated apt complex, turned into a hotel… Had a gate that needs a code after 6pm.
I enjoyed it and am so glad I chose them– will definitely go back !!
