GREAT Service! They were able to get my dash panel working without having to replace. Saved me hundreds of dollars by cleaning instead of replacing like another shop wanted to do. Not to mention nice guys with quick turn around. Would highly suggest to anyone looking for honest electrical repair.

After speaking with Luis further, who offered to do the full check-​light diagnosis that was the main part of my complaint (outside of the price), I have to say that they were prompt and pro-​active in contacting me re my areas of dissatisfaction. Electrical work can be a tricky business, especially when you are trying to restore a car on a budget, as I am — not the best of circumstances, so, as I hope I said before, they did find the problem and fix it– I want to be clear about that, so, I have no complaint about their work, really — maybe more about communication.
I could have paid for the diagnosis and gotten a second opinion, or taken my car elsewhere, and I didn’t. Maybe if I hadn’t been on a budget I would have, but I didn’t, and that was my choice, so, everybody has to find the shop they feel comfortable with, and whatever my subjective feelings re what I would hope to find in a shop that would help me restore my car, the fact remains that they called me about (1−½) hours after I left the car with them, with a diagnosis and a price, which I agreed to, so, depending on your own situation, you can always shop the price for the actual work, once you have a fairly good idea what needs to be done, but, for the full diagnostic, which Luis agreed to honor, $ 95 is not the worst price in the world, as applied to the price of the work, so, particularly if you have a difficult electrical problem that is hard to define, Decatur Auto Electric may prove to be a good source for you, and could save you money in the long run by finding and correcting the problem right the first time.

I was searching Unilocal for a place to repair my brake lights and turn signals. This place came up and everyone seemed to be satisfied. I called and made an appointment with Lucho the manager. He was able to get me in quick. I was worried to drive without brake lights. He assured me that they were certified to fix my lights. I received a call 2 hours later with a great price. I was assured that it would be repaired promptly. The next day Lucho called and said the repairs had been made and my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Wow, they actually did the job for the price I was first quoted, NICE. They did not jack up the price or up-​sell me on unneeded repairs. I am SUPER HAPPY! I will definitely call then again when a repair is needed.

Dropped my 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 off at Royal Transmission. «Billy,» the owner of royal transmission ensured me that it was an electrical problem. So I trusted him and authorized him to bring it down there to Decatur auto electric. They insisted that it was the PCM, so they replaced it. I was never given the option on keeping the old one (for all I know it was perfectly fine) so they charged me $ 795 for the PCM, I did some research online and they range from $ 400-​$ 650… So they totally screwed me on the prices for the parts. Charged me $ 70 for shipping on a part no bigger than an iPad. I got my truck back, the transmission is still broken, my gauges don’t work now (which I called George «supposedly the owner» and he said he will look at it but if it’s something we didn’t do we are going to have to charge you for it, also told me I’d have to wait 3 days before I can bring it in cause he’s «busy») so now nothing is fixed & I’m out $ 1,400. Would not recommend these people to anyone. Really shady!

Love these guys; they took care of me quickly after I had a blown-​out headlight. Service was professional/​nice, fast and reasonably priced. I will return again if I need other services.

Brought in our chrysler town and country as it would not run and had to be towed in. I had called the mobile mechanic we use but he could not diagnose the electric issue.
I spent hours calling the dealers and never was able to speak with a service writer at any of the four locations. Finally looked on Unilocal and tried decatur based on reviews and my conversation with louis.
The work was done timely and professionally. The pas lock system with the key chip had failed so we got two new keys which they reprogrammed.
Will use them in the future.

Just picked up my car, had to have it delivered by a tow truck earlier today. I’ve been taking my car to Decatur Auto Electric for 4 years now and Luis took care of my car as usual; same day repair for a fair price. Great mechanics, good prices and professional services. They provide a lot more than electrical service for your vehicle, pretty much any auto issues you have, they will take care of for you!

Outstanding service by highly qualified mechanics. They may charge slightly more however it is always done right. This is the only place I trust to work on my cars after dealing with a few other places that were supposed to be great.

This place is legit! Very great customer service and they stand by their work. I had some wiring gremlins after having regulate motor sports install an safc 2 into my supercharged car. After getting it back the car misfired and ran like crap. Drive it down the street into Decatur auto electro before shutting it down because I did not trust the people at regulate to work on my vehicle. These guys did an amazing job in rewriting the tuner for me and even pointed out the crappy job regulate did. They went in and soldered the connections rather than crimping and made sure the job was done right. They did the work at a great price as well and even followed up with me a week later.

I needed electrical work done to get my headlights working properly. So a friend of mine who manages another auto shop highly recomended this place. I’m glad he did! They were very thourough and found the problem. Then I remembered to tell them some key info as how the headlight stopped working. They checked something else and sure enough it saved me another day of waiting for a part that was not bad afterall, reset the panel and it worked again! Thanks Luis and your team for your courteous and diligent service!

It’s been a little over 2 years living here in the desert, and boy, does this heat and cold do a number on your car!!! It’s crazy how much work we’ve had done on this car of ours in the past 2 years compared to the amount of work done in its first 7 years of life living in balmy, beautiful Hawaii!
Not knowing a soul here, we opened the one of seems to be a hundred different yellow pages from our doorsteps. We found «Decatur Auto Electric.» Apparently, our «Engine Light Check» required attention in order to pass our «Smog Check» (that’s like a safety check in Hawaii). Anyway, it was a simple and painless (on the wallet) process, and we were on our way to register our car in our new state of Nevada.
Since then, we’ve always depended on Jorge Villasenor, the owner. He has always had THE very best customer service and attention we’ve ever experienced in the auto service industry. We trust him. And trust is very hard to come by. He always makes time to see us, provides us with an immediate, if not, within the hour, estimate of our car repair, and is very forthcoming with any issues in his schedule, changes to the repair, etc. What’s even better is that he educates us on what is being done on the car, why it has to be done and how much it will cost us. After the repair is complete, Jorge usually tells us how the service and repair went, going as far as to show us the old parts that were removed from our car. We will never doubt his truthfulness, as we have not had to bring in our car a second time over to correct his repairs. Hooray for Jorge! He and his company, Decatur Auto Electric are top-​notch, both in customer and in auto service!!! Where else can you find honest people in the service industry at first try!!! Lucky us!
