Run down neighborhood. Worried about leaving my car in the parking lot after 6pm. Parking lot not well lit. The inside was surprisingly cleaner than I thought and the kids and staff seemed like they were having fun! Should offer more arcade games for those who do not want to skate.

the floor there it the worst thing I have ever been on all you do is slide definitely never coming back to this one again and on top of that I was told that my wheels are bad then when I said they were new and have only skated on them twice then I was told I was a new skater and didn’t know how to skate I have been skating for over 15 years

Love Crystal Palace! It’s awesome to take my kids some where that I went as a kid. There are not that many places in Vegas that have been around that long!
Great music, good people and fun times!
My niece just had her birthday party here and we all had a blast our party hostess was really nice and helpful!
Concession food is reasonably priced! Very safe and family friendly environment!
One very friendly suggestion… a few more arcade games would be perfect!

Well my first time here and to an actual roller skate rink. I’ve done the ice skating thing and I LOVE IT. here is ok. There really isn’t much to look at. It’s basically a rink, lame food bar and a few video games here and there. It would be cool to take the kiddos but it wouldn’t be my first choice of fun things to do with them. Nothing really bad, but nothing that really makes me want to go back very soon either.

Don’t ever go to crystal palace on Rancho dr!!! If I could give them ZERO STARS! I would!!! Their staff is so rude! The guy answers the phone and is a complete jerk and a smart ass to us when we are trying to give them business. If u don’t book your birthday party 3 days in advance online, u have to come in physically and pay your deposit $ 50. No way to work around this. No accommodating paying customers. They should know they aren’t the only show in town and the guy became a jerk and started lecturing me on how I should plan better than 3 days in advance for my daughters birthday. Huh??? Then he tells me he’s the owner so he feels like it’s ok to talk to people like a jerk. He says his name is David. Well I’m glad he’s the owner because he’s gonna feel this review in his wallet. Stay away from these people and keep his pockets empty! They don’t deserve our business. Go to the other crystal palace on Boulder as they don’t even require a deposit and this silly 3 days advance rule. Guess I know why that location is a dive and always has been. And now we know why it will always will be a dive operated by a bunch of unprofessional people.

I grew up skating and worked at two rinks for a long time. Rancho location is missing so much opportunity to interact with customers. The floor is good and the place is clean. Guy at the entrance was nice but everybody inside is more indifferent. They have to get to know their regulars, they bring in more people. The music is terrible. Almost nothing current, Africa Bambata, really? 1985 is not your target genre. Only one game for the kids, limbo. Poorly executed and I could not understand a word the DJ said. No couple, blackout, or reverse skate. Guards let phones on the floor, asking for a broken arm. Lucky not a lot of people to run into each other.
If you just wanna skate, go. But if you want to have fun, go somewhere else. So much missed potential to include the customers. Price is high for what you get also.

Back in the day this would have even been a 3 or 4 star.
Between the zero-​charisma DGAF staff, the attitudes of the refs on the floor, and the unruliness of the crowd who goes, well, enter at your own risk.
I was taking my kid to skate with her girlfriend and join her family for what would be a play date and luckily for us, it was early enough in the day that it looked to be mostly populated by families with smaller children and birthday parties.
We tried setting stuff at a table to grab food; when we came back, someone put all of thier birthday stuff all over the table and ignored our things right there, then we got snipped at by the skating ref when we tried to sit at the benches by the rink with our food when there were no more seats… you know, cuz ours got taken. Whatever.
The only reason I give this place even two stars is because they offer food, arcade games, and skate rentals if you don’t have your own. All together for one person to get in and skate=$ 11. I guess it’s not bad if you plan to be there a while. We stayed 2 hours. They used to take music requests; That may be decades ago ;p I’m so showing my age now.

The man working the counter was a complete douche canoe to my friend, so we left. Extremely rude service, and does not accept debit cards unless you spend 25 $ or more. I do not recommend this place at all.

Great place to keep the kids busy during summer :) Love the skating and music. Behind the concession counter gets backed up due to lack of help or slow service but other than that… pretty good time!

This place gets 5 stars not because it’s shiny and new but because it is a 5 star place for roller skating. Our family of five decided to stop in for the heck of it. 20 min or so from our hotel on The Strip. Not too bad. $ 11 a head including skates. I say that’s pretty reasonable considering the price of a movie ticket. Guy in the front was kind and helpful. Made it easy. We get in get our skates. All good. The girls start skating. Good times all around. There’s beginners to experts out there and everyone seems to get along. If you’re going to bring a 2 – 4 year old, a Saturday afternoon is not the time for that. There are lots of teenagers skating.
The snacks: Got a water and cotton candy for $ 5.50. I say score! The cotton candy was fresh too, so extra points for that. Don’t come here expecting A Michelin starred restaurant. Take it for what it is, a snack bar and you’ll be set.

This skating rink is a F*cking joke. It used to be good when I was a kid now it’s horrible !!! Management is the worse. Teenieboppers running around cursing fighting and a making out everywhere. The rules are you can’t wear hats you can’t wear headphones. Can’t make song requests and they won’t play hip hop. They play the same music over and over and its all garbage. Sounds like kids bop 20 lol. The sound system is ridiculous and is horrible. Food is gross and overpriced. The skating rinks in california are way better because On the holidays like 4^th of July, MLK DAY, memorial day, labor day they have $ 1 skating. These overpriced bastards charge like $ 12. F*** that.

We had my daughters 10^th birthday at the rancho location last weekend. We did the cosmic party which include some extras and was worth it. The glow cups were a hit with the girls! Our attendant was very helpful and continually checked in on us. The pizzas are small but our party came with 4 and it was enough for 10 girls. The rink is clean and well kept. The party was a hit and I would recommend THIS rink… it was a drive for us and our guests but we all said we’d do it again.

Three stars BC I love to skate. But this place is over priced. I do not mind paying 11.00 to get in but $ 13.00 for a small slice of pizza and a small sprite and a candy. At least make the pizza fit half the plate and make the soda cup a little bigger. If u go after 4:00pm on a Saturday expect it to be packed but the floor for skating is not to full. One more thing the guys that r taking ur money could and try and try and smile a little more or at least be a little friendly to the customers. They need better social skills.

Old school skating for sure. Both locations this one and boulder hwy one needs updating and upgrades. Fun but musty and hot at times.
Cheap deals but seems a bit pricey when u compare the prices.

If we could give zero stars, we would. Some of the staff is always rude, the rest of them seem to be teenagers that bring their friends in and goof around or have no idea how to do their jobs. If you eat there, avoid the chicken nuggets at all cost! They taste like Styrofoam and have a chemical after taste. The rest is just over priced crap.
Also, when the owner prints a flier, he doesn’t bother to honor the hours if somebody else wants to book an event-​For example: For President’s Day, the owner «Misprinted» a flier, stating that the event would last until 9 pm but they kicked everyone out at 5:45 pm so that some speed skaters could use the rink. We planned to show up later, thinking the kids would have plenty of time together. When my husband showed them the flier, their response was «Three skate passes or nothing». I wanted them to honor it for EVERYONE. That flier was printed up and given to hundreds of families through the schools and I really don’t care how much you don’t want to lose a day of business or want to shove kids away early so you can profit. You DON’T pull a stunt like that! They are called consequences and the owner is not a child so they should stop acting like it. It’s no wonder their employees don’t care!
Then they changed their explanation in an email after I showed my disgust about them disappointing so many children and being so rude about it. So it’s either false advertising or they double booked it. Either way, they should have honored the flier. Three skating passes wouldn’t nearly make up for the kids not being able to skate with their friends and family. I might not have taken it this far, but the employee’s callous response had cinched it. I hope in the future that our friends and family consider taking their business elsewhere. So after giving this place my business for 25 freaking years, I’m saying GOOD RIDDANCE!
There’s a lot more wrong with this place but I don’t have the time to list all of it.

This rink is probably ok if your a teenager trying to escape your parents for a couple hours, but I’m a mom with a 5yr old learning to skate, this place wasn’t designed with me in mind.
On a positive note, the rink has a nice floor to skate on, and we were given tickets for a slice of pizza or hot dog and drink. I have no complaints about the music or employees.
First thing is they only take credit cards for $ 25 and over, well my total came to $ 24! Luckily I had cash, but not enough for anything else after paying to get in. This was probably a move on their part to save money on card fees on their end. Of course there is an ATM inside that charges $ 2.50 for cash. It just feels like a racket. In the end I spent less money total. Not a good move on their part.
The next problem is the bathrooms, completely ghetto and run down with a hand wash sink shared outside the restrooms, right next to the water fountain. All I can say is YUCK.
The biggest problem I have is that they don’t have skating aids that helps kids learn to skate, they told me it was a liability for them if a more experienced skater falls on it. Instead my kid fell every 2 feet, and blocked everyone coming by, way more dangerous, (but therefore the liability is on me) It’s really hard for little kids to learn to skate. My five year old made it around 3 times in 2 hours, fell 50, cried half the time and melted down the other, and my back is killing me. I think it would be worth it to them to provide a skate aid to make skating more fun for the moms, kids, and less dangerous for everyone.
Not worth the $ 24 dollars I spent. Not sure if we will be back.

Who would have thought the smell of junk food, retro carpeting, and loud music could bring you back to when you were 11 years old! I went Thursday, which is 70’s night and I had a blast. Something about skating just makes you laugh and feel good like you’re flying through the air! I always take advantage of the opportunity to get a good work out in and I used the rink as a way to build up my heart rate, work my glutes, and slim those thighs! It was so much fun, and it breaks up the monotony of the gym. I went with some friends and as we went around and around we shared stories of junior high crushes, hoping to be asked for a «couples skate» (which NEVER happened by the way), and reflecting that not much has changed throughout our diaries. Haha…
I rollerblade which makes skating on regular skates difficult for some reason, but it only cost me $ 4 for a good time. I’ve gone to boulder a few times, but never Rancho. From my opinion, Rancho had less of a «riff raff» crowd than Boulder. I mean — afterall Mayweather hangs out at Boulder! (oooo – just kidding!)
My friends and I did get into a verbal argument with this slovenly man. We were there at the start of opening and placed our shoes under one of the tables. When it was time to leave we asked this woman (who we didn’t realize was his wife) to take our picture. She told us nastily, «NO! I DON’T TAKE GOOD PICTURES.» As we drifted from the table to ask savvy youths who we knew were stellar at selfies and other various technology, the couple took our shoes and threw them all over the floor! They were scattered about and we confronted him on his rudeness. Like a dumpy grown man-​child he said, «But we were here first!» We corrected him and made it very clear that he was being a real good role model for his kids, and that we were there before anyone else arrived. He didn’t have anything else smart to say and continued to act like he couldn’t hear us verbally bash him with his stupid headphones on.
Other than that, I enjoyed my skate night at Crystal Palace Rancho.

Ah, Crystal Palace. How I have fond memories of being in Junior High and practically living there. Pop music blaring on crummy speakers, lights flashing, and the smell of snack bar pizza wafting in the air. Nothing has changed. Oh wait, one thing: I’m long out of Junior High ;)
Despite that fact, my friends and I went on 70’s Night. 70’s Night was a lot of fun: Half price for us ladies, and free pizza if you decided to brave the embarrassment of wearing fashion from the 70’s. Sadly I saw no bell bottoms nor did I see any afros. My co-​worker did have a sweet looking 70’s mustache though.
Anyway, my experience at the rink is probably what any adult at a skating rink would have: the challenge of making it around the rink once without tripping over shaky kids crashing into the ground. I swear, some of these kids were little time bombs in that you never knew when they were going to wipe out. After I determined who was accident prone and who wasn’t, I was able to let loose and enjoy cruising around. The other thing to expect is the sound of 12 year old girls screaming for everything: the lights going out, the fog machine pumping fog, or some 14 year old boy showing off.
Some of the other things that they had were the hokey pokey dance, limbo, races by age brackets and my favorite, the number game. All of these activities plus the regular skating made for a cheesy fun time!
I gave a rating of 4 stars, but I’d rate Crystal Palace and my experience more of a 3.5. It’s not a place I would regularly hang out at anymore now that I don’t fit the majority of the clientele but for those few times that my friends and I want to have fun making fun of ourselves, I’d visit again. :)

It is nice to see such a large roller rink still around although there is a lot that can be improved here. First the good.
The parties are reasonably priced. The skates are in pretty good shape, the music is current and loud and the dj changes it up a bit so the skaters aren’t always skating around with no goal.
The places for improvement — the parties are very disorganized and with the exception of food deliveries you are pretty much on your own. I really would have liked to see a staff member available to give beginners a 10 minute group lesson as part of the party as several members of the party had no idea how to skate and ended up staying off the rink.
Also, they have no water at the counter except really wierd tasting tap water. I don’t care if you want to charge me 2 dollars for a small bottle of water, you should have something for people who do not want the sugary drinks.
The staff is very friendly when you speak with them although they seemed a bit disorganized.
They do have wifi.
Stay away from the air hockey machine until it is fixed.

Roller skating? The last time I went Roller Skating the Bee Gees were on the Billboard Charts and I’m sure I was wearing a Charlie’s Angel T-​Shirt.
That being said, I was not going to be deterred by some rusty non-​rolling feet.
We were invited by our friend Kate and the kids were extatic. Even my husband put some skates on (Rollerblades…which were available).
Wobbling, nearly losing my balance and holding on to the rails was okay, then I finally got it together and it was like riding a bike. All levels of skaters welcome here! Jamming tunes too and lockers to keep your belonging safe.
Skate rentals and free food and drinks came with our tickets that were purchased thru a school, but I have to say the pizza is less than appealing but that didn’t keep the kids from eating it.
A few birthday parties going on here so that’s an option if you’re looking for something different. No wearing baseball caps while skating?
A cool place with cool flashy neon carpet, lockers, snack bar serving up nachos, hot dogs, pizza and cotton candy!
Lots of teeny boppers… but it’s a roller skating rink on a Friday night… and…it’s not exactly in the best part of town so if I go back I may choose a quieter night.
Fun place to come and burn some calories and have some fun with your kids. I think my kids will asking to come back!
