History

Established in 1995.

Colleen Aiken (President/Owner) brought the concept of consignment «the Colleen’s way» to Las Vegas in 1995. The stores were originally a franchise of a Phoenix based consignment store but when the franchise agreement failed to meet her expectations, Colleen moved forward on her own. It was not long after opening the first store on W. Sahara that the name «Furniture Consignment» became synonymous with Colleen’s name. She developed a unique model of consignment, which combines gently used pieces with new items obtained directly from the original manufacturers. One of the keys to the store’s success is Aiken’s expertise in finding one-of-a-kind merchandise. With the many innovative ideas and sound management skills, her company has become one of the top consignment stores on the West Coast.

Over the years, Colleen has faced many challenges, ranging from a difficult battle with breast cancer to overcoming the public’s preconceived notions of consignment shopping. Yet through it all, the business grew and flourished. Aiken stands behind her motto, «We don’t sell icky stuff,» and has proven that her store is a place to find high quality furniture at great prices.
