History

Established in 1962.

Roy Shelton and Grant Selle started in the floor-​covering business in 1972. In 1979 they began working for Cloud. In April 1989 they opened Henderson Floor Coverings located at 334 S. Water Street in Henderson with the idea of servicing customers in the retail, builder and commercial floor covering business.

In February of 1993 Roy and Grant bought the then 30 year old Cloud from A. L. Greenbaum and incorporated the two into Cloud Carpet One Floor & Home.

Cloud is active in retail and commercial sales, and installation of all types of floor covering.

1989 – 1993: Formed Henderson Floor Coverings located at 334 S. Water St.

Sales and installation of all types of floor covering.

1986 – 1989: Employed by A.L. ‘Bud’ Greenbaum at Cloud as Sales Manager. Supervised all sales, service and installations.

1982 – 1986: Formed Professional Carpet Service and became licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board in floor covering installation.

1978 – 1982: Worked as an independent installer for Cloud.

1972 – 1978: Employed by Imperial Carpet Co. in Las Vegas, Nevada. Started as warehouseman then went into installations.

Bought thousands of dollars worth of high end carpet for my home. Install was just ok, they had to come back and redo my master bedroom because they laid a piece of carpet in the wrong direction. Stop skimping, follow the arrows on the roll! Went back to see about getting a piece of carpet bound. First I couldn’t find anyone, and when I finally did, she was with someone. After the couple left, we told her what we wanted and told her we were going to look at some samples. Quite a bit of time went by, so we went looking for her, and she was on the phone. We waited again for her to finish and another person came in and she helped them instead, telling us they had an appointment! We were mad so we left. Nice customer service!

Okay I literally just created a Unilocal account to write this review. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. Clearly I am not the only one according to these reviews who thinks the same way.
I spoke with a woman named penny right before thanksgiving to set this all up. When we spoke on the phone the tone in her voice was not comforting at all and seemed as though she was irritated that someone passed her number along to me for service. She was a referral from a friend which is why I spoke with her and not the company number. She then proceeded to set up a measure the day after thanksgiving and that she will be out of town until the following week, but once she gets back we will set up installation. The next week goes by and never heard from her. Called her several times, left several voicemails and still nothing. I called the store and spoke with a lady who told me she will pass along the message to penny since she is at the store every single day. Another week goes by and at this point i am beyond frustrated. I decided to give the store a call today. A very rude man answered the phone. I then went ahead and told him my situation and his response was extremely unprofessional! He told me I need to call the guy who measured and the salesperson who I spoke with (penny). I said well i have been trying and haven’t been getting any calls back so i called the store. He says «Well jim is the one who measured your home, RIGHT?! Then you need to call him.» I understand that a lot of reviews tend to over exaggerate things but i am not kidding this guy was rude! first of all how am I supposed to know not to call the store and the salesperson is the only one who can handle this for me. That gives you no reason for bad customer service.
I guess this company doesn’t want my money or they’re just plain lazy. Do not use this company for carpet installation. Let alone anything else. Im surprised they’re still in business!

I came across Cloud Carpet accidentally while looking for another tile company. I was in the process of remodeling my home, and I needed porcelain wood-​look tile, carpet and outdoor carpet. Penny was the lady that helped me out that day, and I went home with a few samples and prices. She was extremely professional, and I was given the best prices for a rectified piece of porcelain so that I could go with the smallest grout line possible. I chose my tile and picked out both my indoor and outdoor carpet as well.
The carpet installers were very professional and did a great job. George had Rusty come out on another day and install the closet doors and bring additional wood. When it was being demo’d, the required pieces had been thrown out which wasn’t Cloud’s problem but mine. George made sure to schedule the installation right away at no charge and Rusty did a fabulous job. Wow was I impressed.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone who has flooring needs of any kind. They give you the best prices out there, and their staff is competent and such a pleasure to deal with. Hard to find these days.
Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else!

I decided to try this company after a friend recommended them. They had a small tiling job completed and were happy with the work. I met the sales person, explained I wanted a floor, shower demolition, and retiled. I explain it was a ½ bathroom with tiles also in the walls. I picked out some tiles, and he set an appointment to measure for a Friday, later in the evening. On Friday night, about two hours before the sales representative was to show up, I received a phone call. He said he talked with the instillation section of the business. They told him, the job was too small and he was not coming out. I tried to get a better explanation, but the only thing he said was the job was too small to do wall tiles. However, he did say if I found someone to do the job, he would be more than happy to sell me the tiles I wanted. Was that the real reason, I do not know. My friend’s house was located in a higher income area of town. How could you say the job was too small without coming to see the job first? Not very pleased with the way I was treated, and I will not buy the tile from them, or carpet installed from them for my remolding job.

I dealt with David the salesperson during the installation process of replacing my floors and everything went smoothly and I had thought the job was to my satisfaction. Once I moved into my place I noticed that the carpet needed to be stretched and dealt with George twice. The first time we had scheduled an appointment and said he would have one of his employees come over and take a look at it. We scheduled a time that was convenient for both of us and I waited for him but he didn’t show up. I then called him and rescheduled a 2nd appointment and once again he did not show up and George hasn’t returned my call. I am extremely disappointed with George’s behavior since he did sound sincere and professional over the phone. But I guess after they collect your money they don’t really care about you as a customer. It’s too bad since I was going to refer them to a friend that flips homes for a living.

We had used Cloud Carpet One before for our carpet, so returned to have them replace the tile in our home. The finished product looked great and my wife is happy! Cheers! We used the branch on Lake Mead and Buffalo. If you are looking for new flooring, give Doug Willbanks a call 702.631.2850. A professional and is as concerned about you as much as he is concerned about your floors.

We have had dealings with Cloud Carpet for years and I have to say that there is old fashioned customer service there. If you want people who really care, you can find it at Cloud Carpet. I have to agree with the previous reviewer. Dave and George are great. I recommend them to everyone.

While searching for new carpet we stopped here to check out the choices and prices. Huge showroom. So many choices of flooring. I wish I could have hardwood, too many rules in my condo HOA. :(
I knew I wanted a medium dark gray carpet. I found the perfect color, great padding, you have to have good padding. And best of all a great price.
The Salesman David was great. Did not try to oversell or push anything on us. He came to our place to measure.
The carpet was installed 2 weeks later and it is fabulous. George and his team did a fantastic job on the installation. Professional and neat.
Should I need flooring again, this is where I will be going.
