Was in this location today. Picked up a cannoli, lobster tail, cream puff and chocolate cupcake. Returned to our hotel across the street and went to bite into the cupcake… it was hard a a rock. Was unable to eat it and had to throw most of it away. The cannoli and crime puff were awesome. Will have to wait until tmrw morning to see how the lobster tail is.

My friend told me this place was a must-​try so we came in here on our recent trip to Vegas. The line was outside the door, but honestly well worth the wait, it went by fast and there were yummy pastries waiting for us!
I highly recommend their Pumpkin Cheesecake, which was very rich and creamy. I got their Nutella cookie, which was on the dry side, but still very good. I also got their lobster tail, since this is what they were famous for, honestly, not very good, but glad I tried it anyway.
Overall good place to check out since they are famous and have their show on TV it was exciting to try it out, but not exactly the best pastries I have ever had.

California Cheesecake well worth the wait, great assortment of different flavors, not to mention the free samples, line wrapped around the side of the building..

Not too bad of a wait, maybe 30 minutes. Recommend to phone order ahead to avoid the wait. Lobster tail is bomb. Also got the chocolate éclair, just as good. Cannoli was a week wait lol!!! Guess next time :)

Had the Lobster Tails last year. Epic pastry, really one of the top ten of my life, and have eaten a LOT of pastry.
Picked up four on Thursday, January 21 at 4:30 pm. Damn I hate tourists… they move so slow and act like everyone is on vacation. It’s annoying and turned what should be 10 minutes into another 10 minutes waiting on line… I try with all my being to not be «that» tourist when I go out into parts unknown.
The cream is the perfect consistency, halfway between whipped cream and pastry cream, flavored with vanilla and Bailey’s Irish Cream… it fills the crunchy, chewy layers of puff pastry perfectly from end to end, and the puff pasty is liberally dusted with confectioner’s sugar. It is completely simple and probably impossible to reproduce at home.
Went back the next day, and picked up four more and a dark chocolate mousse cake. My wife loved it.
The lobster tails are $ 5.95 each, which is a bit spendy, and the mousse cake was $ 9.95 which is moving towards QUITE spendy… between the cost and the slow progression of the line, you got four stars… still pretty damned awesome pastry. Not a fan of how they do their cannoli, filling is too dense/​sweet.

Reminds me of the east coast pastries I love. Coming from Connecticut to California it is very very hard to find Italian pastries that are even decent. I love coming home with two or three boxes of pastries for my family and they are so good they’re gone in a few hours. The lobster tails are my favorite. They are a bit pricey but it’s Vegas and the Venetian I don’t expect it to be that cheap.

We ordered a unicorn cake and didn’t give Carlo’s much to go on. They worked with the ideas we had and they hit it out of the park! The cake turned out beautifully!!! I am completely thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to recommend Carlo’s to everyone. The service from start to finish was professional and beyond helpful. Thank you for helping make this a memorable 21^st!!!

I was very disappointed to learn that 99% of their items are frozen and then thawed or baked then decorated.
Certainly not worth my money when there are a number of bakeries in Vegas and on the strip that offer freshly made items daily and don’t require a ridiculous wait in line. This place is more of a novelty than a quality bakery. Not impressed with any of the items I’ve had from this place.
Save your time and money and go to Bouchon Bakery instead.

I’ve never heard of Buddy before until my cousins told me about him while we were on Vegas. So since we were already in Vegas I wanted to try his bakeshop since many fans hype about it. The line is usually long when you get there so definitely come earlier (before 12pm). As I looked at the variety of deserts the bakeshop offers, I was drawn towards the cannoli and the cream puff. The cream puff was good, but I wish it had less cream in it because it was too overwhelming, but the cannoli was amazing. But don’t get the chocolate covered cannoli cause it wasn’t impressive.
I give this place a 4 star because when we came in, the cashier worker was extremely rude. But everything else was a great experience.

Yeah, GOOD STUFF. I enjoyed everything in my box. The cream puffs are delicious and I loved the tarts. The cannoli was also good, though not my favorite pastry. The BEST pastry was absolutely the Lobster Tail. WOW. This was my first lobster tail experience and it blew me away. I loooove the layer after layer after layer of flaky pastry and the French cream was so scrumptious (they put a touch of Bailey’s Irish Cream in it!). This is my kind of pastry!
The line can get long, but when I visited, it moved REALLY quickly. Come early for fresh pastries and to, hopefully, beat some of the crowd.

The infamous Cake Boss bakery! Well I’ve watched Buddy on the Food Network before but haven’t kept up with his show in a while and never knew about a bakery opening here in Las Vegas until a couple of my friends were fond of trying out their bakery. It’s located in the Venetian hotel right by his other restaurant. The line wasn’t as busy as I would have thought but lines were moving smoothly and quick.
There were so many dessert choices that we simply just came here for the popular recommended items which were the cannolis and the lobster tails. We got the original and chocolate canollis. It was different from all the kinds of pastries I’ve had so it was nice to try something new at a bakery. It was good but not enough to make me crave for more. It had cream wrapped in crispy shells. I preferred the lobster tails over the cannolis though. It’s a flaky puffed pastry that was filled with cream. It was rich in flavor but it was delish!
Although, the prices of these pastries would make me think twice about splurging on these dessert again. The cannolis were $ 3.50 a piece and the lobster tails were $ 5.95 each. These little things added up in total that I spent $ 50 to share among 8 people. It wasn’t that the pastries we had weren’t good, it’s just that it hasn’t lived up to the hype of what people portrayed or expect it to be coming from a big famous name company. It was worth trying though if you haven’t had any!

Ok first off, this place SMELLS like heaven! (What I imagine heaven smells like, anyway)
The line was quite long for pastries. I waited about 20 minutes before it was my turn but it was well worth the wait. There’s so many desserts to choose from, but I chose a regular cannoli, chocolate cannoli, white chocolate mousse cake and a hazelnut cream puff. I really wanted a black and white cookie but unfortunately they were sold out for the day. Everything I chose was delicious! My favorite would have to be the white chocolate mousse. At $ 9.95 I was a bit skeptical on whether it would be worth the money but I’d happily pay this again. I may have eaten the whole thing by myself… Not sorry.
The cannolis were awesome. They tasted homemade, as they should. I preferred the regular cannoli over the chocolate covered one. I recommend letting them sit out like 10 mins before eating them because when they’re straight from the fridge it’s a bit hard to bite into. It tasted better when thawed out :)
Good thing I don’t live near Carlo’s because I’d be super fat if I did (but I’d be happyyyy)!

For a Nutella freak like me, this is a good place some yummy chocolate hazelnutty goodness.
Lobster Tail:
They’re popular for their lobster tail but I think lobster tails are just ok. The pastry shell is flaky and the cream is good. ³⁄₅
Cannoli:
What east coast bakery doesn’t serve cannoli? The shell is nice and crisp but the filling is what makes a cannoli a GOOD cannoli. ³⁄₅
Chocolate Hazelnut Cream Puffs:
The quality of their cream puffs is similar to buffet cream puffs. The hazelnut cream filling was good and the chocolate on top was subtle. They’re just ok. ³⁄₅
Chocolate Hazelnut Tart:
The crust is perfect. Thick enough so it could cold gobs of chocolate and whole hazelnuts. Creamy chocolate and crunchy hazelnuts. ⁴⁄₅
Nutella Linzer Cookies:
A generous spread of Nutella sandwiched in between two cookies dusted with powdered sugar. ⁴⁄₅
Nutella Croissant:
Giant croissant with Nutella inside and on top then, sprinkled with streusel. I ate half of a croissant and had to take a break. It’s quite filling. ⁵⁄₅
The lines could get pretty crazy but some days/​hours, it’s breezy quick and easy.

I had high expectations for this place and Buddy let me down. For those who don’t know Buddy Valastro is a celebrity chef and is featured on Cake Boss on the Food Network. This is located across from Buddy V’s Ristorante (also his restaurant) in The Venetian. There was a line when we came, but it moved rather fast, so it wasn’t too bad.
We got the infamous Lobster Tail which was crispy, flaky and had too much cream filling. We also got their chocolate covered cannoli. It was good, but nothing mind blowing and that’s supposed to be their specialty item and it wasn’t memorable for me. Lastly, we got the Hazelnut cream puff and it was also just okay. It was flaky and it had the perfect amount of filling.
Do I think this place is overrated? Yes, perhaps it is and it just didn’t live up to the name. The stuff we ordered wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t the best I’ve had. I’m glad we tried it though, so we can find out what the hype is all about.

Well well well so this is how the cake boss rolls… with a huge bank roll because his prices are outrageous!
Ok so I’m on the fence about this one. I mean don’t get me wrong most of their desserts are pretty good but I’m not sure if it’s worth paying an arm and a leg just for everyday sweet treats.
The whole cakes are priced not bad for a whole cake at a specialty bakery will cost you about $ 35 plus and theirs were about that price which is fair but stuff like their mini cakes that’s like 2 bites costing almost $ 10 bucks is a bit crazy to me.
The cannoli cake was ok but nothing to jump up and down for. Their tarts are good but again $ 4 bucks for one small bite is kindda cray cray. So if you want to buy these bake goods for their name then just expect to pay the high dollars. Otherwise I think if it wasn’t for the name I would find a better bakery!

This place is overrated, expensive and not that good. All of the desserts look amazing but unfortunately they don’t taste amazing. I had the Italian butter cookies with raspberry jam and chocolate and a mini tiramisu. My friend had a brownie.
The person who took my order was very kind-​he got my cookies and tiramisu and put them in the boxes. I went to check out and the woman at the register tried to over charge me a ton for my cookies. Thankfully I asked and my bill went from $ 34 to $ 19. The mini tiramisu was good but not great and not worth $ 10. The cookies were better. They had good flavor and while they normally come with more chocolate I thought they tasted really good. The brownie wasn’t good at all. I wouldn’t ever make a special trip to come to this dessert place the next time I am in Las Vegas.

This may be the case of «when you see a long line, stand in it because everyone else is.» Perhaps it’s because we came when it was about to close which is something I never recommend when you’re looking to buy anything from a bakery.
Overall, the desserts were OK. I didn’t experience anything that was mind-​blowing as I pride myself on finding amazing desserts. The cookies were very good and priced accordingly. But everything else that I spent my money on was pretty unremarkable. And definitely on the pricey side. Maybe go to the one in Jersey?

Leave the Gun, take the Cannoli!
Never have there been truer words, especially for Carol’s Bakery because this was the only thing I really liked and thought was worth the wait in line. Other items were a bit overpriced, but its Vegas and it’s Buddy V.
Service was great, nice and friendly and the line went through quickly.

It was a weekday, around 8:30 pm, there was a small line, but we were in and out in about 10 – 15 minutes.
They have a pretty decent selection of biscotti, cookies, pastries, cupcakes, small cakes… Some items are priced per individual piece, while others are priced per pound.
Service was decent…
Hazelnut cream puff was yummy. It was served a bit chilled. But the cream inside tastes like the inside of a forrero rocher (sp?) I also had these bite size chocolate biscuit things in the same display as their biscotti. They were dense, soft, sweet, buttery. Pretty good. Their chocolate chip cookie is also tasty. I liked the overall flavor (I’m picky about my cookies!), and it was also chewy. My husband tried a couple things, he wasn’t quite as impressed. So pretty yummy, but also more like your local bakery and not something you’d expect at Venetian…
Located across Carlos restuarant, at the entrance to the shops from the outside… Close to the skybridge that leads to TI.

This was one of the places in Vegas my boyfriend really wanted to see. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but I’ve seen a few episode of Cake Boss so I was intrigued! Tis cool that this place is one of the only two shops he has and evidently he is famous for a pastry called the lobster tail so we walked what seemed like 1000 miles in 100° weather all for one of these legendary tails.
The lobster tail is monstrous! Maybe I just don’t eat pastries much… but it was filled with an impressive amount of cream. The dough was light & crispy and the cream wasn’t too sweet and a perfect consistency.
I truely don’t understand what makes this one cream filled pastry so special and different from all the other cream filled pastries on the planet. But the boyfriend swears by them… so good I guess ⁴⁄₅
My chocolate covered cannoli was good… not amazing or impressive… defiantly not wait in line for it good. But good. 3.5÷5
Over all I don’t get it. Glad I went but I wouldn’t go again of my own accord.
