Camden Bel Air

I love our little apartment. We are on the tenaya side. It’s soooo quite in this place. I have had to put lots of maintenance orders in and they have always fixed things right away. When we first moved in they put in a brand new stove because the last one didn’t work, the people that work in the office are really great though… Their customer service is amazing, always so nice and friendly. I recommended this place to my aunt too and she ended up moving in as well. She has a much newer version apartment but I still love ours. Here I believe is more expensive too, however I got a referral fee for recommending her. This place accepts very large dogs as well. They r very good with the landscaping for the building. We absolutely love the gym, it’s got a much bigger variety of gym equipment than most apartments, 2 pools, tennis/​basketball courts, really great

I am a former resident paying on my balance due. I made a payment on 1÷30÷2016 at that time, I was told I can’t have a receipt. I usually have one of the office staff members sign a copy of the money order. I was told that it is the policy now, that employees are not able to sign until the payment is posted. Im supposed to leave a money order in a box, assuming that it will get posted. I am not sure why I can’t be given a receipt at the time of the transaction. Suppose the money order gets lost or not posted. I have nothing to back up the fact that the Payment was made. It does not make sense. Just as computers crash, humans make errors. That money order can get lost, stolen or posted to the wrong account and I would have no way of proving I made the payment. I do not mind paying monthly on my balance due, but it is not fair that I do not get a receipt for payment. I do not live there anymore. I’m supposed to wait 24 – 48 hours fort to post? What if I do not have access to the Internet to log on to their portal and check to see if it was posted.

I’ve been looking to move to the Las Vegas area for a few months now and have been working with Elaine and Kelsi on finding an apartment to suit my needs. I’ve had a great experience with them. They’ve been very responsive and helpful during this whole process. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to get everything together to finally move into a new space!

I’ve been here for only a couple of months but moved from a one bedroom to a two bedroom after only three months. That created a couple of hiccups but everyone came together to make it work. Thanks to Elaine and the front office staff.

Apartment hunting can be such a pain and I stumbled upon the Bel Air property. As soon as I walked in I received a warm welcome from Dayna Dotson. She was so full of energy and made me feel at ease. Dayna asked what I was looking for and we went on a tour and I enjoyed ever minute of it, she was so knowledgeable and patient with all the questions I was asking. She is just a great asset to your your team and she definitely helped mold my decision to make Bel Air my new home! Thanks you so much Camden property and Dayna :)

The leasing office consultants at the Camden Bel Air are super nice and very helpful! Dayna, who helped me with information about leasing a one bedroom was great! She gave me all the information I needed, gave an awesome tour and now I will soon be a Camden resident! I don’t usually write reviews but the customer service was absolutely amazing that I want people to know… if you need an apartment in Vegas and Dayna is your consultant, you will leave taken care, satisfied and excited for your new place! Thanks Camden, you guys rock!!! :)

The Camden Bel Air staff is awesome! I was given a tour by Dayna and she was so upbeat and friendly. I was offered a water or coffee from the moment I walked in and taken care of with all questions and a tour within the hour. I was very impressed! I highly Camden and Dayna as well!

I lived at Camden from 2012 — 2013. I could not wait for my lease to be up. While I was there let me list :
Home invasion and homicide
Several break ins
Drug use by the pool
Pools were closed by health department (both of them)
Poop in the pool
Water bills always over 100.00
Gates always broken
People who did not live at property using pool and weight room
Unfriendly staff
The competent maintenance staff was let go and they hired new staff that was not helpful and never came out
They would try to raise the rent and then tell you they would get you into another apartment on the other side for cheaper (that way it always looks like they have new renters) that always looks good when reporting to corporate right?!
Police always in the complex many times watching people get arrested .
A tenant parked in future resident parking to use the computer in the office while in there they called and had her car towed …
On the upside the Gowen entrance is beautiful and floral… but that’s pretty much the only upside .
So there is my review take what you want from it from someone who lived there .
Oh and did I mention unfriendly unhelpful staff — oh I did !?? Ok well let me just say that again.

FYI, NEVER stay Camden Bel Air, especially under new management. I’ve lived here for close to 4 years, and never had a problem until recently. Tell me who else thinks this is ridiculous? Please let me know if you know anyone who can help me with legal proceedings. Here’s the deal, my company pays my base rent, I pay the water/​sewage etc. and tech fee. Before, all I had to do was wait until my company check went through online, then I paid whatever was left over around the 28^th/​29^th. Recently (September 28) my company sent in a check per usual, Camden called to let me know it came in, but they could not process it because they don’t do partial payments anymore (but I was also told this was always policy?) Anyway, I said fine, I can put the money in that night (apparently they can accept my partial payment, but not my companies?). I wasn’t able to that night but I did put the rest of the money in on 9/​30, and saw online that mine was processed (again, my money A PARTIAL PAYMENT went through). Today, I get a message saying I’m overdue on my rent and I owe 90-​some dollars on top of my rent! I try to talk to management saying it was confirmed they had my rent from my company. I was told, yeah, they did, but after 24 hours they sent it back. This was never explained prior that they’d only hold it 24 hours, and bonus, they didn’t send it back to my company, they sent it to me, and never even informed me that that’s what they did with my company check! So now they are charging me past due amounts because they cannot adequately communicate with me. Their inadequacy and inefficiency cost ME money. I’M OUT OF HERE AS SOON AS I CAN. DONE. So much for 3+ years of loyalty…

I moved to las vegas 7years ago and feel in love with camden apartment so naturally i tend to gravitate to them when ever Im looking for an apartment. I must say that camden bel air is horrible. Many cars have been broken into at least on the tenaya side. There are so much teens gathering by the pool and the guy. Graffiti was on the mail boxes with crayon for about a month and it was all profanity. Most of the tenets have big dogs and there is always poop.

I have been apartment hunting for the last week (pain in the rear) and finally came across the apartment I love. At Camden Bel Air the apartments are beautiful, large and the property is meticulous.
Yvonne my leasing agent is knowledgeable, courteous, and professional agent I ran into.
I have seen over 10 apartments with leasing personal and Yvonne is hands down the best. I am so glad I met her in this difficult time for myself. She guided me step by step what to do and I highly recommend her and their property if you need an apartment. The other apartments do not even come close to what they have to offer.
Camden Bel air is very fortunate to have a employee like Yvonne on their team. She really cares and goes out of her way to accommodate the renters like myself.
I highly recommend Yvonne and Camden Bel Air to anyone.

The only positive thing I can say about Camden Bel Air is that they allow large dogs, which is perfect for me and my dogs. But if you don’t have a dog, do yourself a favor and stay away.
The amenities listed on their website are a joke. Don’t believe them. The second pool was closed for half of the summer. When it was open, it was open to the public, gates are never secured so people would literally drive into the complex and go straight to the pool. The south gym has broken equipment and had no A/​C for at least two months (June and July). Complaints to management fall on deaf ears. And don’t try to call their office after you move in – you always get transferred to their «central» office which is somewhere in Texas. I have NEVER called the office and gotten through.
They don’t bother to paint the apartment when tenants move out, so my apartment still reeks of cigarette smoke.
The «security» is a joke. The security guy is there maybe twice a week, sits in his car playing on his iPhone. When they did have on-​site security, there was a fight about 50 ft. from their office. I called the office to report it and they told me to call the police. I asked why they couldn’t have the security guard walk outside his office and the guy on the phone said it wasn’t really security, it was a «courtesy patrol.» There is very little security lighting and of the 13 lights that surround the south pool and provide the security lighting for that area, only three lights work.
Water main breaks on average every month (used to be monthly) shutting water down for an entire day. Seriously, how many times does it take to fix it?
Their maintenance team is a joke. They’ve had to fix my bathtub 4 times and still can’t get it right. The patio door wouldn’t open and they kept oiling the track; after 4 work orders, they finally replaced the wheels, but now the door doesn’t lock. My heater broke and they jury rigged it with a screw so they can avoid replacing $ 5 switch! I called in at least two work orders for them to fix my dryer because some part of it was catching my clothes – every time I dried my clothes, some piece of clothing came out with holes. To fix it, they would oil the bearings. That damn dryer ruined 5 shirts, 3 pants, 2 scarves. And forget about getting anything done in a timely manner. It takes a week for anything to get done, they won’t call ahead if you ask them to and they have (on two occasions) marked off work orders as «complete» when they never even started the work!
Upon renewing my lease, they jacked up my rent $ 40 and claimed that the increase is due to «Market Value.» Ha! My carpeting is falling apart, my laminate floors have holes, the apartment smells like smoke, they won’t fix my RIGHT, there’s water damage in the window sills, the back door has a draft so large that I can actually feel a BREEZE from it. If you could put a «market value» on my apartment, I’d be paying AT LEAST $ 75 less! I have NEVER heard of an apartment complex charging «market value» upon lease renewal. And don’t think for one second that it will never go up again. I’ve talked to three tenants who all say the same thing. Their rent goes up every time they renew until they moved out. They felt forced out. Their website gives a price for the apartments but when I went in, conveniently, the apartments on their website were not available at the «special» price.
Oh. And what they don’t tell you… you are responsible for a «portion» of the community water/​sewer/​trash. The bill is based on your apartment’s square footage and I have the smallest one bedroom apartment in the complex – the bill for December was over $ 50, bringing my rent to almost $ 800. Broken sprinklers and busted underground sprinkler water lines and maintenance doesn’t fix it. Why should they care, since it’s a community water bill, right? I’m only here for my dogs and hoping to get out when I have to renew my lease in November.

Camden company are thieves. I spent about 5 years with them and didn’t realize no other apartment complex charges $ 60 — $ 80/​mo in water/​sewer/​trash. Really!!! The complex is not safe, the woman downstairs from me worked swing shift and was robbed at gunpoint coming home from work. Another downstairs neighbor was robbed by someone breaking a window. I moved to a much nicer area of Henderson and pay $ 200 less in rent and no water fee! The management is also more friendly as are the neighbors. Do not move to Camden!

I’ve lived here less then three months and my apt has been broken in to twice! and I am not the only apt that has been broken in to. I am moving! I would stay way if you would like to keep your things

Avoid this apartment complex at all costs! DO NOT MOVE HERE! Here are 10 reasons why Camden Bel Air apartments are a terrible option:
1. We lived there for 5 months and my motorcycle was broken into 2 times. They didn’t even investigate. We were on lockdown the last 2 months because there was some much theft and cars being bashed in with baseball bats. This is NOT a safe place to live.
2. The staff is dishonest and will cheat you out of as much cash as they can. Don’t trust anything they tell you and always make sure you have what they tell you in writing. Made us pay an extra $ 200 they originally told us we wouldn’t have to pay.
3. They AC broke in the middle of Summer and it took them 2 days to get it fixed and then it never worked quite right after they «fixed» it.
4. The pool was always closed, contaminated, or shut down because creepy men who didn’t live at the complex were loitering around the pool.
5. Everything smelled of old cigarets in our apartment even though they swear to you that they deep clean every time someone moves out. But really they just charge you $ 80 and do a quick wipe-​down.
6. They maintenance workers and wild kids would wake our baby up from her nap regularly because the windows are super cheap and single paned. No insulation at all.
7. There were strange people that didin’t live in the complex just hanging out outside our front door. One big stranger even ask my wife to give him a ride at 10 o’clock at night. Let me say again, this place is NOT safe.
8. The location is right by the freeway, so you hear the traffic all day and all night.
9. They’re gym is a total joke and there are so many filthy mouthed kids that hang out in them that it’s not even enjoyable to go there to exercise.
10. There is NO social scene here. They gave out popsicles one day out of 5 months and made it seem like it was Christmas.
We moved from this awful complex to the East side of North Las Vegas and feel much more safe and comfortable. I would never subject my family to that type of a place. Our neighbor said, «I moved from the ghetto for this?! I feel like I’m right back in it…»
Save yourself a lot of trouble and just stay away!
