Bright Futures Pediatrics

The doctors were ok but the billing department is awful. They outsource it to India and billed the wrong insurance company. I tried to get the right insurance company billed for months and they did not do it and sent my account to collections. When you call you only get someone who barely speaks English and they say they will call you back and they never do. Now I have the entire balance on my credit even though I had valid insurance and paid my co-​pays. Furthermore, the office on site would not return my calls either. They are the most unprofessional billing department I have ever dealt with and I would never go back for this reason.

We were patients at BF for over a year. We had many ok experiences, however the wait time, even with an appointment, was always excessive (1 – 3 hours). After our recent experience however, we will not only not be going back, we are filing a formal complaint with the NV medical board. Dr. Mendoza made my 3 yr old son wait nearly 3 hours past his appointment and then when my son splashed water on him from a drinking cup, he threw a toddler fit and refused to see him. This person should not be in pediatrics and probably not even customer service of any kind. He was rude and aggressive towards my 3 yr old as well as my husband and yelled at them even after they had exited and were attempting to get a refund in the lobby (services not rendered, co-​pay should’ve been refunded). He continued to follow my husband out into the lobby and acted aggressively and continued yelling at my husband and young son to the point where my husband was concerned the man was going to physically assault him. They did not process a refund even though services were not rendered, and after calling their administrator repeatedly they will not even speak to us and have not attempted to make this right. One week prior to this we saw Dr. Webber and she misdiagnosed my son and had us treat him with a powerful prescription that made his condition worse and is a complete crackpot; we gave them another chance after that and clearly we shouldn’t have. I have never personally had, or heard of anyone who has had a worse experience at a medical office.

This place changed my daughters Doctor TWICE without informing me… Apparently their doctors keep leaving. I took my daughter in exactly one week ago for a well check (which they insisted on charging me for even though Obama Care says you can’t charge for a well check) and today I called and asked if they could call in for a urine test for my child. They said no, she’d have to be seen… Even though she was seen literally 7 days ago. I’m sorry but there’s no reason my child can’t have a urine test done at the lab with ought going to the to the dr first.

Had a terrible experience at bright futures pediatrics on warm springs. Had a consultation for a circumcision for my 3 week old son, they booked my first appointment on day 30, and his procedure on day 31. Conveniently, my insurance only covered him for his first 30 days of life. Then when insurance explained a form could be signed since he was only 1 day late, due to their scheduling, they refused and referred me to another place unless I paid $ 385. I understand it’s a buisness, but how is it ok to do procedure on the 22^nd, but the 23^rd they do not feel safe doing it? He weighs the exact same? There is no added risk in 8 hours. They have no concern for their patients unless they would put themselves in the parent’s shoes. The lady at the front desk had a smug, very insensitive approach to customer service also. Let’s think about the kids here, and putting them through the least amount of discomfort, not making a profit.

Dr. Minuskin was great, caring and totally on the same page as my fiancé and I. We are very excited for him to be our daughters pediatrician! Office staff is really nice too!

Four stars for the front desk girls and for dr minuskin. The nurse girl wasn’t very bright. She got my daughters height wrong, and eyesight wrong. I was shocked that she was that off and that unclear on what she was doing. I didn’t get her name but wish I did because she was horrible. Not once ounce of caring in her demeanor and the fact she got my daughters height and eyesight stuff wrong had me concerned. I don’t think she wanted to be there. As for Dr Minuskin he was very observant he even asked which nurse took my daughters information as if he was concerned too. He was very knowledgeable, warm, understanding, and helpful. If my insurance wasn’t changing I would for sure go back to him. Unfortunately he doesn’t accept my new insurance though. Also the front desk girls were awesome. Answered all my questions without making me feel like I was ‘bothering’ them. I also like how they have a sick side and a non sick side. I think all doctors offices should have that. Even adult dr offices.

We have been patients at BF for six months. We struggled to find a pediatricians office centrally located for our lives that also had staff we enjoyed and was knowledgeable in special needs and preemies. We were blessed to find Dr. Minuskin. Not only does he ask questions and make sure your needs are met, but he also engages and is interested in maintaining whole family health. We are thankful to have found such a great pediatrician for our three boys.
Some reviews mentioned wait times or unfriendly office staff. I have never encountered either at the Warm Springs office. I am usually in the waiting room for only a few minutes at most, and have consistently been greeted and treated well by the rest of the office staff. This office is convenient for our lives, but more importantly, Dr. Minuskin was the right fit for our family!

I’ve been taking my children to this office since before it was Bright Futures. However, it consistently exceeds my expectations; even with our regular doctors moving on to their own practices. Instead of following them across town, I’m pleased to find that any of the attending pediatricians have been more than adequate in quality of care. This is a rare thing to see in Vegas. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes beyond my appt time, and I’ve always been treated with respect from everyone in the office. If you’re new to Vegas and looking for a decent pediatricians office, I highly recommend this one.

This Pediatrition was absolutely amazing! I loved that they have a sick room and a regular room. Hand sanitizer everywhere! Very friendly and nice staff. Wait wasn’t long at all. I loved that they took time with both my children. Waiting for the dr to come in wasn’t a long wait at all. She came in very cheerful and happy and my boys felt really comfortable with her. She answers all our questions and concerns and explained our children’s health and details to us. In a good area also. Parking was easy. Loved this dr and def will continue taking my 2 boys :)

I have had fabulous care from Dr. Minuskin. I take all 4 of my kids to see him. He is very attentive, excellent at explaining options and really makes you feel involved in the decisions about your children’s health. I gladly refer friends to him.

I’ve had bad service and this place is far from it.
I’ve had three great experiences here and I will continue to come back until otherwise.
This doctors office is very large with a left and right side with plenty of office rooms. I absolutely love the disney decorations that are throughout the place. I’m a die hard disney fan and so is my daughter. As soon as she enters the Dr’s office or into a room she is smiling and excited.
I’ve dealt with two different doctors which were both very knowledgeable and efficient. I was extremely happy with the amount of time and care they took with my daughter and examining here. Leilah has very bad asthma and past doctors just have blown her off and written a prescription. The doctors here have given me techniques, ideas of ways to improve her breathing and nebulizer steroids instead of just the inhaler. They’ve walked me through signs of normal breathing issues and when to take her to the ER or in immediately. I loved the attention and time they gave. I hate when doctors rush and don’t really get to know my daughters situation. Thats when you feel like just another «case» or «patient».
This office is conveniently located near the hospital in a good area of town. It’s right between the ex and I, so it is a good median location. It was easy to find and parking is no issue.
We’ve never had an billing issue or large co-​pays. I’ve seen prices and I thought they billed our insurance appropriately for service rendered.
The front office is competent but not overly friendly. I would suggest a bit more friendliness but with them being so busy I could see how that could be over looked.
I was impressed with the sick and healthy side. I like that they keep the well children away from the sick children. Working with children myself I always have a concern about that because you never know what another child has or if they’re immunized.
The wait times can be a little long. i think the longest I waited was 25 minutes. To me, I didn’t think it was an issue because they took their time seeing my daughter. Which prompted me to believe that is why they have longer than usual wait times.
They make appointments Mon through sat. And for a few hours on saturday they have walk in services. I like that this doctors office is open later than others I have been to. Making appointments is painless and simple.

The place is clean, easy to get appointments and the 2 Drs we’ve seen have been wonderful. The staff isn’t very professional and sometimes have no clue what’s going on (front desk and nurses).
Dr Weber is probably the best pediatrician I’ve come across in Vegas. She is quick, thorough and knows her stuff. She used to go between the two locations and then decided to stay at the Town Center location. I was so disappointed to hear this. The other location is too far from where we live.
We decided to try one of the other Drs and see how that went. We’ve been seeing Dr Minuskin. He’s fantastic! Very smart and thorough.
I highly recommend either of these Drs! Don’t let the other staff discourage you. The Drs make up for it.

I love our new pediatricians office. very professional and timely… our dr. Was great and thorough with my kids.

This practice has changed significantly over the years that we have been here. Unfortunately, not for the best. Wait times are long. The front desk has never impressed me with their efficiencies or friendliness.
When I read other reviews, take all with a grain of salt. Some of the feedback seems silly and trite. You weigh a Dr. by their staff and office efficiencies and, most important, the high level of care you expect. Every. Single. Visit.
So here is my breakdown:
Cons
1. Front desk staff. End of story
2. No communication to patients when Dr’s have left the practice
3. Extended wait times
Pros
1. Caring Dr’s if you can bypass the rest of the experience.

Dr Minuskin has been seeing my son since Dr Goebel Moved I am so Pleased with him .
He is conservative with his Antibiotic usage
My child is so much healthier
He is up on all the latest things out there and really tuned to my kids. Being in the medical profession myself I see the difference in knowledge and assessments and am so glad to have access to such a good Pediatrician
The office manager Teresa is wonderful and is very attentive, she calls right away if you ever miss her, and has solutions right away that are appropriate.
This place is well Run and the docs are all good. So far since I’ve come on Saturdays I have also seen DrWeber and Dr O both very bright, attentive and good clinicians. .
I truly appreciate the staff, really caring and sweet MA’s my kids love coming here. Keep it up BFP

We are now currently seeing Dr. Miniskin, he has helped us tremendously and we are confident in his advice and recommendations and guidance! BFP is so lucky to have such a talented, caring Doctor!

I’ve been coming here since my son was born in June. Every time I come in my appt has either been changed, or no one ever recorded it (even when i had a card with appt date and time given at last appt).
His first dr left, which does happen, but I was never notified, so when it came to my sons 2 mo appt, they had no records for him. Apparently they delete appts\records when the dr leaves? (my assumption because of what happened)
Come his 4 mo appt, that they again, did not record, they «ran out» of his required shots. Again, it happens, no big deal they said they will call when it comes in… 2 weeks later no call. so i call to see whats going on, and all of a sudden im the dr and they expect me to know what he needs. Im a mom, not a dr. I do not know the names and types of vaccines, thats not my job, thats why i have a pediatrician.
All in all, the Dr’s are wonderful. Always nice and courteous, I beleive its the rest of the staff that is failing the patients and parents. I will continue to use this office, but i would recommend a staff training\re hiring session.

I used to love this office. Then one day my daughter was throwing up what appeared to be blood. The doctor stood outside my door with a disgusted look on her face telling the nurse she cannot see me cause there’s nothing she can do if my daughter is dehydrated, which she suspected she was. Told me I couldn’t be seen and to go to the ER. Go to the ER, wasn’t dehydrated, had a stomach bug, something she could have saved me a trip to the ER if she saw her. Oh and charged me the visit anyway.
Then I go back to give them one last try for my 9 month old check up. Did their normal check up, and received a bill later for a procedure (Tympanometry: where they stick a probe in the ear, I’d know if this was preformed!). As well as charged me for a no call no show few of $ 25 which I didn’t have a no call no show.
The doctors have no heart, only care about the money in their pocket. Disgusted by the way the doctors and staff treat patients. Treat patients which no compassion, which a pediatrician should have!!!

So I went to another pediatrician after suspecting that the one I saw here was incompetent and didn’t do a thorough examination.
Turns out she didn’t have croup.
She had a double ear infection.
Needless to say, I’m definitely never going back and I’m glad I found a new primary care for my daughter.
