I’ve been here twice. Once without getting chicken fingers and once with chicken fingers. When I went without getting chicken fingers, I was an idiot. Now I have learned from that mistake and will never make it again. This is an unassuming bar I’ve must have passed hundreds of times. This may be my new dive bar. The first time I went here, they had Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA on tap. This should have been my first clue that this place was good. That is still, by far, my favorite brew. I don’t think they have it on tap anymore, but who cares. Hams was $ 2 a pint and I’m not even sure that is a happy hour price. Not a lot of times I’ve got some drinking on that only cost me $ 10. Now. Chicken Fingers. These are huge. HUGE. I’m not even sure fingers is an accurate description of what you get. More like chicken arms or something. They are ginormous. They are also as delicious as they are HUGE. They don’t cost that much(less than $ 10 I’m sure) and you get a bunch of chicken ARMS. The breading is great, it’s got that flavor that you can only get deep frying it but the breading remains crispy. Once you break apart that breading, you’ll see some beautiful white chicken meat. Seriously, some of the best chicken fingers I’ve ever had. Oh what’s that? You get home made potato chips. I almost opted for fries, but I had a food guardian angel tell me NO. I’m thankful for that. Their homemade potato chips are fantastic. They have a great crisp to them, no soggy chips here. They have the right amount of salt on them. Get yourself some chicken fingers, homemade potato chips, and Hams.

Went to see the Vikings/Seahawks play-off game(It’s a Minnesota-based bar). Some of my friends are from Minnesota. I didn’t eat anything, but our server, Jamie, was excellent. I never saw the bottom of my beer glass, even at 11am and it was a full bar. Plenty of tv’s. Vikings lost on a missed 27 yard field goal attempt.

The turkey melt is alright. I should’ve gotten the philly cheesesteak. That smelled great. I really like the sampler tho.

Went for a burger and a few beers tonight– a good local dive bar. The mushroom Swiss burger was good– my friends chicken tenders were breaded like fish and chips– tasted god but not what I expected. They had limited beers, but they did have a lagunitas on tap…

The food is alright, but there’s this lame ass waitress with a dumb Boulder Highway geisha hairdo, named Heidi who just really really sucks at being a waitress. She’s gross, and the dining area is gross. All the surfaces have some kinda film on them. Food good… Heidi, Bad.

Amazing chicken strips. Also one of the rare places in Vegas that serves cheese curds.

My first time here. My friend had been coming here every week back in 2008, loving their chicken fingers. She decided we should check it out. Chicken fingers were as good as ever… will be back. We ordered cheese curds… very yummy! Saw reviews about bad service but found that our server, Heidi was great. Friendly and efficient. Bloody Mary’s were great. I ordered regular… good heat. My friend ordered, «spicy»…she said it was delicious. Definitely will be back for more… chicken fingers.: -)

Ya know I love the food at this place the service has always been decent however tonight was a different story after waiting 30 minutes for the server to even come to the table not only was she rude but horribly slow with everything she did but said oh one minute there’s someone else in front of you at which point I had to ask for menus only to get one. After another 15 minutes we finally got drinks. Since she had to explain how busy she was and that she was the only person on the floor I was surprised that the food came out rather quick for her being so «busy». Blue ox hire yourself a new server. I can say I won’t be back if she’s on shift that’s for sure.

I’ve worked in the area for 10yrs and we’ve never been here… but, seeing pics and reviews on Unilocal changed that. Our office ordered the fabulous chicken fingers. Moist, lightly breaded, not greasy… and the homemade chips. FANTASTIC! Actually have leftovers that went home. I know we will be back for more another day.

The best chicken fingers in town, no question. Always freshly cooked. Along with a cold beer, I’m happy. Can’t review anything else, but I’ll update if I do.

Chicken fingers were quite good! Waitress got our order wrong — so when we asked about it she got quite rude! We ordered chicken fingers and fries, cheese curds and the sampler to which her reply was — you know thats an appetizer? We said yes — husband wanted to eat as a meal — just bring it all out at one time! She said ok and will bring extra plates. When we asked about the appetizer we never got she got pissed! Saying we never ordered an appetizer and then told us — it’s a bar, the music is loud — speak up! Really??? Won’t be back nor will we recommend it to any friends. She could of handled the situation a little bit better!

The prices here are pretty great, they got big TVs so it’s a good place to watch the game. However when the check comes, they always seem to give back the wrong amount of change, and not in your favor.

Anyone remember the song«Du Hast» by Rammstein? We’ve rewritten it: «Blue…Blue Ox… Blue Ox, B*tch!» I haven’t been to Blue Ox in a while, but I used to go every Sunday night for karaōke back in the day. This place has the BEST chicken fingers I’ve ever had in my life. No joke. Its been a while, like I said, so I don’t remember all of the things I’ve tried here, but everything was always delicious, and the staff was always super great. I’ve been craving good chicken fingers, and I’m off my nutrition plan next week, so a trip to Blue Ox might just be in order…

Best local bar stop after work! We somehow meet up with the happy hour! Love the service! And location is minutes away from work(Airport) pretty cheap prices and super good food! Been here about 6 times and it’s never a fail! Made joint our hang out spot after work with colleagues. Not bad! Great environment.

I love this place… all of us from UNLV go up here for the cheap drinks. The wait staff is awesome. If you are going to go up there… ask for the server Jamie! He rocks! The bartender Ted is awesome too! Great spot and a lot of fun! Plus a digital jukebox!

I often wonder if people get the singular cuss word used in many of my reviews. It’s because I don’t ever want the ROTD(Review of the Day.) I mean — you wake up and a bunch of random people you haven’t met are giving you props. It’s weird. So I throw a ‘eff’ here and a ‘shit’ there and I know that my reviews will get buried; my reviews are only meant for the true foodies and I could give two cat-craps less about those that aren’t… So… Anyone know why don’t they play Chris Brown’s ‘Turn Up the Music’ at Strip Clubs anymore?’ It’s like the best grinding song ever. I’m writing this review after getting back from the ‘Tres aka CHIII. Oh wait, back to the food. Squirrel! TURNUP! FUCK yeah this place’s food is wowsers for bar food! It’s also 24 – 7, like Kayne’s Ego. Shout out to Jaime W. Just trust me when I say the chick knows her chicken fingers and her pics made me want to come here. I came twice in the same day. Haha. True story. Kidding aside, here is the deal… They allow smoking in the bar/resto so expect a little stink(I smoke and am quitting but I HATE eating next to it.) The smoking patrons are in the corner. And this is one of 3 Blue Ox locations. The gramps opened all 3 and then left the 3 locations to the kids. ONLYTHISONE has the bomb food — the other 2 have frozen shit. That brother running this one passed away recently so get it while it’s hot! This one? Holy! They have a never-frozen rule, which includes their veggies for dinner, chicken, fish n chips, etc. They make their own breading, tartar sauce, slaw, ranch, breading, etc. It’s kinda amazing. They told me I should try the never-frozen chicken patty they made from scratch for a burger and it was tempting! The fingers(and I’m a wing guy) might make me swing the other way. They are tempura-battered and served with house-made chips which are better than anything that Whole Foods might put in a bag… Oh… And for the $ 7.99(there is a $ 0.75 charge for to-go) they use two full breasts for the fingers aka FANGAHS. How do they do this? Why is this place not more popular? Why don’t, or why haven’t Unilocaler’s TURNTUP this place? IDK about all that. Pass the hot sauce. Don’t make me bust a Chris Brown on you to go. It’s that good. 5 stars for bar-food if you order fingers. OH — And they are call-in friendly. :)

Went here for lunch ordered the special chicken Philly, the chicken tasted slimy and under cooked. After explaining to the waitress the she argued with us the about the type of chicken and the way it’s cooked! Then took one of our plates back to remake sandwich and brought back old cold fries! Felt like she could of handled the situation more professional, so since I did not eat at all the rating is completely on service and the way my situation was handled!

Not truly a «4-Star» establishment, but if you are a regular they treat you like family. A great East-Side dive for those who who just just want cheap-and-easy bar food, video poker, beer, and a place to watch the game. Btw, this is Minnesota Vikings bar, and even though I bleed gold and green, I have no problems coming here often. Try the Kirby Puckett: roast beef, tomato, red onion, and cream cheese on a hoagie. Don’t forget to get it with a side of home-made potato chips. With pool tables, nooks, plenty of room at the bar, and a staff of folks who always remember your face, but maybe not your name, this is exactly what you want in a local hangout. All of the above with zero pretension. Gotta love it!

If you are a Vikings fan… this is the bar for you. I’m not but my husband is.(Go Giants!) The bar itself is filled with Minnesota pictures, sports memorabilia and food. You can smoke in the entire restaurant so it has that certain smell. As far as the menu, you can order the Minnesota Twin burger, the Kirby Puckett, the Timber Wolf French Dip and even Walleye. There is a great variety of food since it is open 24⁄7. We ordered the Triple Decker Club and the Chicken Sandwich. Crinkle cut french fries accompany the meals. There were 6 of us and decided to get the homemade potato chips. These are pretty darn good! Not healthy by any means but tasty! My sandwich was good but I would just say good… not great. The chicken sandwich was not chicken breast but ground chicken. The hubby would say it was just ok and not really what he expected. We have ordered the chicken fingers in the past and those are easily split between two people. Huge portion and very filling. Our waitress did an amazing job. She was funny, kept the drinks coming and chatted with us for a bit. So the service was great. We have tried to come here on a Sunday to watch the game and it’s packed! If you want a seat, get there early… I was surprised actually by how many Vikings fans are here in Vegas. All in all, it is a great place for games or after a night of drinking and need some greasy food to fill the stomach. Probably would give them 3.5 if I could.
