History

Established in 2005.

Rick started his passion for photography out in nature capturing the landscape and wildlife. With a deep love for pets and animals Rick started capturing a tamer wildlife! I started by photographing some pets to «practice» my wildlife skills and the owners loved the photographs! So GRJV Studios was started! GRJV comes from my full name George Richard John Vierkandt, however everyone calls me «Rick».

I started out learning from some of the great nature photographers. I saw how they captured wildlife in their natural setting. I have always had a deep love for all living creatures and have had numerous pets over the years. I was practicing some wildlife skills one day with a friends family dog, the owners loved the images! I knew that my love for animals and ease of working with pets would enable me to capture some amazing pet portraits!
