Asylum and Hotel Fear Haunted House

Had an awesome time. Can’t wait for next year!!!

I did the asylum one. I bought the speed pass for an extra 5 bucks and didn’t have to wait in line. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t as creative as other haunted houses I’ve been to. The ladies who were working the ticket booth were very friendly and gave us a good explanation of both houses they had. I «liked» them on Facebook and got a coupon for 2 dollars off. I wish I would have done the second haunted house because I heard it was better.

I’ve never been to a Haunted House in Vegas so this was my first time and don’t really have anythingbto compare it too. Went through both Assylum & Hotel Fear and have to admit they were both scary! I had fun getting scared and even more fun watching others really get freaked out! We were one of the first few people in line at 6:30pm and left at 8:30pm. So its true be prepared to wait in line for about an hour or more per house. Highly recommend getting the VIP pass. We didn’t get them thinking since we were the first few people we wouldn’t need them but we were wrong. I think the actors do a great job staying in character. Don’t recommend taking little kids the ones I saw were really horrified.

This year was my first time going to a haunted house. The hotel fear was pretty crazy! I had a bit fear throughout both houses, i really enjoyed the hotel fear and i really recommend people to go check it out. And it was very good pricing especially for the fast passes! I’ve thanked them before and i would like to thank them again. It was really fun and really great!

After browsing around a bit I decided these houses were way more up my alley than things like the freakling bros where they actually touch you (not down with that). We got there around 8:40 and the line didn’t appear long but then we realized every group (between 2 and 6 people large) took about 5 – 10 minutes to go through the house. We ended up waiting over an hour for the Asylum house. I wished I got VIP about 40 minutes into my wait.
The Asylum house was fun. It was a little disorienting with all the strobes, mirrors, and fog. Definitely a lot of «jump scares». I’m not really jumpy but I enjoyed it regardless. If you’re sensitive to strobes or claustrophobic I would advise not being in the front of your group, I’m glad I had someone to hold onto because the strobes honestly made me dizzy.
After how long the first wait was we decided to upgrade our Hotel ticket to VIP. I think we waited about 15 minutes for that one, totally worth the additional $ 5.
I LOVED the Hotel one. It was way more interactive and intimate. I went through alone with my fiancé and we actually got lost for a minute. I had a great time taking turns being in front and opening doors. If you go with your significant other I would suggest going alone it’s way more fun than a large group. The rooms and hallways are smaller in Hotel than asylum which also made it more thrilling being in a group of two.
Aesthetically speaking Hotel was much prettier than the Asylum. The rooms were decorated thoughtfully, there was some cool lighting, I liked the characters better, and there was (fake) champagne chilling in one of the rooms so I felt right at home.
Overall I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a fun haunted house experience without it being over the top. I’m pretty immune to gore, jumps, and loud noises so I’m sure if those things generally startle you you’d be sufficiently scared. I saw some girl bust ass running out of the asylum house at the end. (It was hilarious).

I’ve never been through a haunted house before and I was a little nervous to go through. This turned out to be really fun, though, and we had a great time! We didn’t wait that long once we were line and the actors were entertaining. It was scary and totally worth it!

Best haunted house I have been to yet. I was actually terrified. Worth the time and money

I remember going last year with a group of friends and we all left terrified. This is definitely a place to go to get scared I screamed so much and felt my heart pounding out of my chest. One of my friends almost peed her pants. Also if you want a discount, show a receipt from sonic drive in and you get 2 dollars off. Will definitely go this year again.

I was terrified. My boyfriend convinced me to go with him, and that was a mistake, lol. He really enjoyed it especially forcing me to walk in front of him! Other than possibly getting a new boyfriend, this is one of the best Haunted Houses on the West Coast, and definitely THE best in Las Vegas!

Went here Oct 2^nd. Opening day. My 12 yr old got scared. And other kids went to one haunted house didn’t have the guts to go to the other. You can her girls screaming ever 1 mins. Lol. Wish we lived out here. We sure would come back before Halloween. Well there’s always next year. Thanks Jan!

Another giant waste of money. Again set up in trailers. You are in and out in less than 3 minutes. Not worth the money. These guys really need to up their game as well. I mean my God what year are we in!!! This should be at a small town carnival.

First time going to a haunted house so I don’t really have anything else to compare it too. But I definitely got scared and had a good time. The only downside was that it was really dark in some areas and I kept worrying about bumping into things but other than that I would probably go back.

What’s the deal Vegas?! All the haunts here just aren’t worth going through. These trailer haunts in specific were pretty sad to walk through. This is because the «haunts» we’re just dark throughout 80% of the maze and the parts that you could see were full of used and abused props that were torn with foam exposed and/​or non functioning. The other horrific (and not the good horrific) thing about this place is that it’s filled with actors that clearly don’t know the meaning of hygiene (that was probably the scariest part of these haunts was the gagging smell of BO and bad breath of the actors getting really close to you, hoping you don’t catch something from them.) To top it off, the lines also were ridiculously long and slooooowww moving. Overall, not impressed, especially being charged $ 20+ to «see» blacked out rooms.

It was terrifyingly delightful – what more do you want!?!
There were some rooms that were seriously unreal, messed with my senses or were so crazy that I felt like I was dreaming through half of it – I could of course tell you about them, but I really think you should go experience them yourself!

By far the BEST haunted houses in Vegas. They change things up every year… the actors are great… always top off the year before! If you want the BEST HAUNTED HOUSES in Las Vegas… go to them!!! I have been going for YEARS and every year it is different! ! YOU WILL LOVE IT! They are also filming a movie there… the movie studio apparently feels these are the best too!

Love the suspense, chills and over all haunting good time! Love that you don’t have to travel too far for more Halloween fun.

We went tonight. It was a lot of fun. We got discount tickets at Costco. Basically, you get a VIP (short line) combo (both houses) for the price of a regular (long line) combo ticket – $ 25. Get there early if you want to avoid the lines. We went at 6:30, and we were the first people in line. The characters outside are very entertaining – excellent costumes and make-​up. I liked the hotel more than the hospital, but they were both fun. They were right next to each other, so it was very convenient. I enjoyed this more than Adventuredome (Frightdome). This is not as crowded, and they seem to put more effort into it. The actors were very good and looked like they were having a great time playing their characters.

In short: I got scared. Really scared.
Don’t expect to show up and walk through. We waited in line about 45 mins — 1 hour for both houses. They only take very small groups of people in (4ish people). I didn’t enjoy the people dressed up messing with us when we were in line. I wouldn’t have minded if they kept their distance, but they were coming a little close for comfort. One girl that was in line behind was getting very very visibly scared, to the point of crying, and they kept on her. She obviously wanted to be left alone to stand in line.
The actual house I thought was really cool. Lots of people jumping out, lots of really well built rooms. There are plenty of emergency exits, if you do need to leave the houses early, which I did. I seriously got so scared that I didn’t have time to calm down before the next person was jumping out at me.
Overall, really well done, but the waits were long and save the scares for inside the houses please!

This is definitely one of the better haunted houses in town. I always make it a priority to find out where the asylum is and go to it every year. Good thing they have a website (
) that saves me from driving all around town looking for it. To me it seems like the people who own /​run it really care and do a lot of work every year. there is always new stuff in it every year. Not always big new stuff but new stuff none the less.
If your looking for a good scare and a fun night I would recommend going through the asylum. The hotel on the other hand was not to scary but still a good time.

I went to see this last night, and it was a lot of fun.
The outside of the buildings are really cool. The sad part is that I’ve stayed in a hotel out in west Texas that didn’t look too dissimilar to Hotel Fear. Come to think of it, the actual hotel may have even had its own natural ghoul population, but I digress.
But everything, from the set-​ups to the character actors lurking around outside, to the traditional Halloween-​esque tunes that played outside helped set the mood. They go for the old stand-​bys, but they have a good-​natured approach to everything.
I don’t believe in spoiling surprises for any sort of shows, so here goes:
Hotel Fear: They did a nice job recreating a hotel look, almost like something out of «The Shining». Expect a lot of twisty corridors, trick walls, random jump outs, and a «finale» room that my party and I genuinely got lost inside of. Pretty impressive considering how small the actual room was.
The Asylum: Nice job recreating both indoor and outdoor environments. Also expect a lot of twisty corridors, trick walls, and random jump outs. I found The Asylum a little bloodier than Hotel Fear, and while I have seen their «finale» room in another haunted house years ago, it was one of my personal favorites, and fun to revisit that type of experience again (even if it does mess with your senses).
Also, if you’re not a big fan of the requisite horror «Chainsaw Guy», well, you know… Sorry.
Considering that I’m not going to have a lot of time to bask in all the Halloween goodness this season, I was pretty happy to have attended this show. They do have some nice set pieces and some creative ideas. Also, bear in mind that I’m one of those that’s not easy to scare and is more into the whole theatrical presentation of these things, but I enjoyed the experience regardless. And hey, it was a fun night out with my friends, so win-​win, you know?
