History

Established in 2006.

Advanced Foot & Ankle Center was started by Dr. Cyaandi Dove and Dr. Alexander Reyzelman in 2006. They both received podiatric training at the University of Texas, in San Antonio, which is world renowned for care of the diabetic foot. This practice focuses on primary podiatric care with subspecialization in wound care.

Dr. Cyaandi Dove graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. After college, Dr. Dove continued her studies at California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, CA, where she earned the Degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She also completed her Post Graduate Training at The University of Texas, Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Cyaandi Dove is also involved in research and has multiple publications in peer-​reviewed journals. She participates in numerous industry sponsored clinical trials, which offer the latest technology available.

The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I arrived for my appointment and they took my info and gave me a packet to fill out. Nothing crazy, just your typical doctor information.
Pretty soon after they called me back and to my exam room. A nurse came in to ask me questions and almost immediately the Dr. Came in. She seems very warm and sincere. I explained all about my ongoing ingrown toenail (if this review helps one person –it is totally worth telling my personal busines) she assured me that she could definitely help me. She said that she had done four procedures just that day. She really helped to calm my nerves. I had no idea a Dr. could even fix ingrown toenails. She explained the procedure and why ingrown happen. … way better than any one else ever did (I’m talking to you pedicure places, lol)
Anyway, she put some topical lidocaine and had some kind of frozen spray (seemed like the same stuff they use for freeze drying) injected me with a needle for numbing. The needle definitely hurts but not more than years of suffering!
When she shows you how big the ingrown toenail really is, you will flip? It’s outrageous! It doesn’t even seem possible. Then she wrapped it up, told me to take it very easy for the next week and etc.
She also said for most people this first procedure is enough, but that if not I may need to come back for a second one. It’s basically the same, but when they pull out the ingrown, the pour acid on the nerve to kill it. Crazy!

I am a long time patient of Dr. Dove. I have serious problems with leg wounds and was first introduced to Dr Dove through one of the studies she was conducting on leg wounds. From the beginning Dr Dove and her staff have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable and explain each procedure. Always completely professional, I highly recommend Dr Dove for your podiatry needs.

Went in for an ingrown toenail and I was so nervous but her assistant and dr dove made me feel really comfortable and the procedure was done super quickly. She made conversation with me so I wouldn’t feel nervous and I definitely recommend her :)

I want to thank Dr. Dove for today’s consultation. I went in to see if I qualified for a clinical trial for leg wounds. She determined that my wound was not nearly bad enough to be a part of the trial… but THEN she took the time time explain to me how to treat my sores. Even explained why I was probably having problems was due to my heritage (Mother and Father) and THEN offered some solutions! What a wonderful caring doctor. She spent 30 minutes with me that I thinks some doctors would have just dismissed me. Thanks again Dr. Dove!
