AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

I have dealt with this shop for not only Carmax warranty claims, but work I’ve paid for myself too. These guys are nothing short of stellar when it comes to timeframe, quality of work, and being friendly and helpful. I only know two guys there, the owner Ron and his manager Kyle, but you absolutely can’t go wrong with these guys. I plan of being here in Vegas for a long time, and I’m grateful I can have a good garage with good mechanics for many years to come.

Our family has been using the service here for 5 years and always terrific service. Fair, honest and quick. They understand your time is important, they get the work done right the first time and on time.

I’m about to take a third vehicle to this shop because their quality and customer service has been so consistently wonderful. I found them by chance when they loosened up a tow hitch I needed to change out (that I bought at a store next door.) I went back with my jeep commander when it made a loud clunk when shifting. Within a few hours they were able to tell me that I didn’t need a new transmission, there was just a wiring problem, saving me over 600 dollars!
They then fixed the clutch on my friend’s mustang in half a day for only 800 dollars, exactly what they said they would do! Now I’m taking a Jeep Wrangler in to get looked at under a carmax warranty because they’re a preferred vendor. Every time I’ve been treated with nothing but courtesy and respect, which is a lot more than I can say about some other shops in town. I’m thankful to have found such a reliable mechanic in vegas after my last two retired!

Wow! That is all I have to say about this place! I can not believe how much a company can actually lie about things! Let me break down every single lie and how much their BS has cost me…
#1. Your engine is blown, you can get a used one for 4600 or have us rebuild yours for 5500 and it has a 3 year 100k warranty. Either way you go it will take us a week or a week and a half to finish.
We are now over a month, they still don’t even have the engine there and looking at probably another week or 2 before these douche bags get around to putting it in.
#2. The price went from 5500 to 6000 somehow, they say it is tax on the parts? Now if your a professional and know what your doing, you don’t give a price 500 dollars off!!! That is a lot of money!!!
#3. Time frame. Had to pay another month and a half of bills, rent, etc. to stay here when they told me the truck would be done in less than 2 weeks, again we are over a month and it still isn’t finished.
#4. Financing. We were told the financing was 12 months no interest and the whole job was approved by the lender. We get a notice saying it is 6 months and only about half is approved to be financed. This is a 720 credit score and again just another lie!!!
#5. Lets see… They lied about time, price, financing amount, financing terms, everything so far has been a lie. These people are the biggest liars I have ever encountered in my 39 years on this planet and owning cars. I am from NY and trying to get home, all of this nonsense and lies has cost me over $ 1,500 extra on top of the $ 6000 to fix my car. So all in all their lies and BS has cost me almost 10 grand!!!
DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE FROM OUT OF TOWN!!! THEY WILL LIE, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU AND NEVER FINISH YOUR CAR EVEN CLOSE TO THE TIME THEY SAY THEY WILL.
Good thing I am not an idiot and recorded every conversation I had with these people lying to me about everything because I will be filing complaints on the BBB Rip off Report and Consulting an attorney. They better pray to god the warranty I was promised is actually what it is or they are going to be sued BIG TIME!!!
OH AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, I HAD A DEADLINE TO BE IN NY TO START THE SPRING SEMESTER OF SCHOOL. BECAUSE OF THEIR LIES, I MORE THAN LIKELY AM GOING TO MISS THAT DEADLINE AND BE COMPLETELY SCREWED. SO YEAH JUST THE ICING ON THE EFFING CAKE!!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME! I HOPE YOU ROT IN HELL

took my van here bc i was quoted almost 3 k to fix a transmission in the van… turns out it was just a bad input sensor and they fixed it and it only costed me 200 bucks. Then, he changed the oil for free… go see Mike at this location.

i have been dealing with these guys for years, and will continue to do so. Ron the owner is a straight shooter. as i said i have been doing business with him for years, and he and his crew have never once lied, or tried to overcharge me. i can even think of a few times where they saved me quite a bit if money.

I took my car here to fix my manual clutch, but decided to have someone else fix it after being quoted $ 1000 less from another shop. The customer service here is HORRIBLE and the people are extremely rude… so rude that I would have paid more to have it fixed somewhere else just to avoid being talked down to.

My father’s car was in need of service and he had seen an advertisement about AAMCO. He was visiting from LA and needed service right away. They had told him they are not open on the weekends (which they have Saturday hours listed) and Monday was the earliest day to repair his car. That was not going to work, because my father had to return to LA the next day. Mike had called my husband (because my husband was in charge of the car) and notified him since we declined the service they were going to leave the car outside. Upon our arrival (at approx 3:47), my father was sitting outside of a closed shop (their hours state they are open until 5). They had locked up my car in their shop and drained all the fluids from the vehicle (which I had not consented to). This was the WORST experience I’ve ever had. Thank goodness for the Regional Operations Manager, who had saved the day and was able to have someone back at the shop to release the car. I will never go to list location again. It’s so disappointing that this shop not only falsely advertises their shop hours, but the attitude I’ve received from their employees was completely unprofessional. I will never go to THIS location again. There are several other AAMCO locations in the Las Vegas valley that are much better than this one.
