A Secret Garden

My husband and I got married back in September 27^th at Secret Garden underneath the beautiful bistro light. Erin, Lexie, chef Kelli, chef Shi and all the staff there are very nice, helpful and awesome. Food is delicious, my family and friends were amazed by it. I am so glad that I found this perfect spot to host my wedding.
All the vendors from Secret Garden are very professional also. They communicate very well so I did not have to worry about anything.
I have to say I have the easiest wedding ever. Everything is done in house and coordinated very well. Literately I just showed up and be beautiful.

My husband and I found this gem when looking for outdoor venues in Las Vegas. I absolutely loved the garden setting, historic location, and beautiful interior. It was just what I was looking for. When we spoke with Erin and the staff, we fell in love with all the details of this venue. I was very excited for the antique car entrances for myself and my husband and thrilled that we wouldn’t have to search for vendors ourselves! They also have a warehouse full of wedding decorations that are available for use! Erin and her staff are also Pinterest gurus and use your Pinterest site for help understanding your vision and working with you to design your dream wedding (which was very useful as we did most of our planning from out of state).
Leading up to our June 13, 2015 wedding day, it was very easy to plan the details of our ceremony and reception with Erin and the vendors. We chose to upgrade some options and were satisfied with the package on others. We attended the tasting in February and were very excited about the tasty food options and the DJ!
Our wedding day was perfection! Her staff treated my husband and I like royalty and made sure we were comfortable and relaxed. They handled some issues that came up quickly and professionally-​most of them we weren’t even aware of until after talking to our friends and family after the event. our friends and family LOVED our ceremony and raves about the food and the cake!!! (They saved the top tier for us, but had they not done this, I’m fairly certain that the cake would have been totally devoured!)
Our guests also loved the DJ who kept the music fun and upbeat and took requests. He even turned down a request for a song from my «do not play» list, informing the guest that they needed to get my permission first before he would play the song.
Overall, we loved our experience and are very satisfied with the Secret Garden staff!
I feel the need to address the complaint by the family who experienced theft during their wedding. While I am sad to hear that this happened, I have to say that lockers with locks and keys were available in the ladies bathroom. They could have locked their items securely, preventing the theft.
One suggestion– if you find you are having difficulty getting in touch with the staff, I have found that sending emails on Mondays or Tuesdays guarantees a response before they get busy on the weekend (Fri-​Sun).

Be aware of the staff at Secret Garden. There were multiple members of the wedding party that had cash, IDs, credit cards stolen from the supposedly secure bridal suite. The wallets/​purses were not stolen, just the items from the purses/​wallets within the bridal suite. All in all the venue was great. Great food great atmosphere. The wedding coordinator left a little to be desired. Not sure if this profession is meant for her, but her demeanor and overall attitude left a sour taste in my mouth. BE CAUTIOUS WHEN BOOKING!

My now husband and I were married here on 9÷6÷14 and we could not be more pleased with how smoothly everything went. We are from the LA area, and made a trip to Vegas in January to check out venues. The Secret Garden was the last venue we scheduled to visit on our way out of town. I was hopeful that we would like it, as we weren’t excited about the others that we saw over the weekend. We met with Erin, and off the bat her personality and excitement had us intrigued. She showed us around the venue, gave us a ballpark figure on cost, and then let us look around on our own for a bit. It only took a few minutes of discussion between the Mr. and I to decide this was our venue.
We love that it’s close to Vegas, but not in the heart of it. We loved that everything would take place in one location. No drive from the ceremony to the reception was needed. We loved how clearly Erin and her team explained everything and how flexible they were in making our dream wedding come true. Everything that we wanted, Erin made happen.
Being from LA, I communicated with Erin and her team primarily through texts and email. I would send her my ideas, ask her a million questions… and she always responded timely. Basically everything we wanted to include in our wedding, Erin and her team made happen. The planning was so smooth, which was awesome since we aren’t nearby. I was worried that wedding planning would be stressful, but Erin and her team lessened my stress immensly!
The day of our wedding went incredibly smooth as well. We got (and continue to get) so many compliments. The fact that everything is in house (florist, DJ, photog, caterer, baker, etc) was also a huge plus. We got compliments on the food, the cake… everything! Erin was there the entire night and made sure everything was going well, and that my groom and I were taken care of. Our champagne glasses were always filled, and everything stayed on course.
I cannot speak highly enough about this venue. They know what they’re doing and they care about what they’re doing. There is no way we would have been able to get everything we got, for the price we paid, here in LA. Because the venue is Vegas, we had a large turnout for our «destination» wedding. People love Vegas! And there’s something for everyone to do.
I HIGHLY recommend this venue. Erin and her team are incredible. I never felt like I was bothering them. The day of the wedding I was CALM because they took care of all the things that I didn’t need to be worrying about. My only complaint is how quickly the day/​night flew by!
I’m very happy that we had our wedding here. I know we’ll always look back on it, with no regrets. Our guests had a great time, and already want us to put together another party for our anniversary! I cannot thank Erin and her team enough. I feel like this review still doesn’t do them justice in terms of how awesome they are. Don’t waste your time looking at other venues. They’re cheesy. They’re in strip malls. (Unless that’s the type of Vegas wedding you want). But if you want classy, memorable, fun… go here. It’s the perfect place to start your marriage.

The main issue is that they are too laid back. The staff waits until the last minute. If your wedding isn’t two weeks away they will only converse via email. And it could take a month for them to respond to you.
I sent an email to the wedding coordinator a month and a half before my wedding date wanting to know why I haven’t been able to meet with the photographer, florist, pastor, etc. I received no response. Less than two weeks before the wedding date I had to call the wedding coordinator. I was told my email must have went to their spam folder. We had been emailing for months without a problem. Even if that were true the coordinator should be the one calling me. HOW DO YOU NOT LOOK AT YOUR CALENDAR FOR UPCOMING WEDDINGS!!! So, this led to me having to meet with the pastor, DJ, florist, photographer and coordinator all at he same time. Which I’m sure is convenient for them, but was extremely stressful for me.
The florist messed up on the bridesmaid bouquets. I wanted my maid of honor to have pink and yellow roses. And then bridesmaid 1 to have all yellow, bridesmaid 2 all pink and bridesmaid 3 all yellow. What I got was two bouquets with mostly yellow roses and a few pink. Then, two bouquets with mostly pink roses and a few yellow. I know that doesn’t seem like a big deal, but it is. It was meant to show how special the maid of honor is. (And the fact that the maid of honor was my sister.) I saw the florist scribble this down on her paper. So, either she ran out of flowers or was just too lazy to look back at her notes.
The good things about this venue are the price. You can bring in your own liquor. Which is amazing! I’ve never heard of any venue allowing that. I like the off the beaten path location and how it is actually a home. It can hold a lot of people. If the weather doesn’t hold up they have an inside venue. The food was fantastic. It’s a more unique option without the pretentious feel of all the other wedding venues I had seen. They include the pastor, DJ, food, photography & florist.
So, to sum up you get what you pay for. The wedding did turn out to be beautiful and all the guests loved it. But, the ladies bathroom does need to be a complete room and air conditioned. There is a back wall but it doesn’t connect to the roof. You can hear people talking outside. With my wedding dress on, my mom, bridesmaids and flower girls in the room I felt like I was going to faint from the heat.

Starting from the idea to have our wedding here to the actual wedding day, this place has been an excellent experience for my wife and I. The staff is very friendly and will bend over backwards to make the day go off without a hitch. Erin is energetic about making your day special which translates into keeping you excited as well throughout the entire process.
Everything from the flowers to the food was excellent. We had the wedding October 19 2012 and the weather couldn’t have been better. My only piece of advice is that you purchase the extra hour (or two) to the total time of the wedding and reception. We added only one hour, and we regret not getting at least one more. The reception was very very fun, especially with the open bar and photo booth.
They have plenty of their own music selection to make the evening pass smoothly. I recommend building some music CD’s to give to them and label them clearly. Even better would be to create a sheet with every song you have on the cd, in order of course. When creating CD’s to give to them please double check the quality of the CD and songs. This is where I made a mistake and a few cd’s were unplayable, but because they have such a large variety of great music, they were able to substitute and make the evening very fun.

My husband and I got married here and it was wonderful! The staff was very pleasant to work with, especially Erin our wedding coordinator. She made everything stress free. Even different ideas you want to include in your wedding, they are happy to help make your dream wedding come true. We didn’t have to worry about anything, the food was great, the flowers perfect, decorations and lighting where astonishing, photo booth awesome, and just say the open bar made everyone happy. I would absolutely recommend A Secret Garden to any of my family in friends if they consider getting married in Las Vegas.

After changing our initial plans to get married in Southern California, my husband and I were looking for a place that did not look like Las Vegas. After attending a bridal expo, I found The Secret Garden. After living in Las Vegas for over 10 years, I loved that it is not located on the strip, but in a quiet area in the South West of Las Vegas, which was also convenient to my father’s home, where we were holding a BBQ the day after.
Meeting our coordinator, Erin, put my bride stress to ease. She simply told me to bring her pictures of what I wanted and she would make it happen. All of my phone calls and e-​mails were answered in a timely manner with reassurance and professionalism.
The most important thing to me was the photography. I am a photography teacher and I prefer certain things. The photographs I received were exactly what I wanted. We have so many amazing photographs that it was difficult to decide which ones we wanted to hang in our home! Several friends and family express their jealousy of how amazing they look.
I still speak with Erin and her crew at Secret Garden when attending events at McKee Ranch. They treat me as if I am family.
To future brides:
I highly recommend arriving in the horse and carriage. It is worth the money and memories!

Trust The Secret Garden to make your day magical. I seriously had the most magical day of my life with no stress!

My fiancé and I saw this online (along with a few other locations) and liked it because it was close to our home and extremely convenient to the strip for our out of town guests who will be staying there. Our wedding isn’t until May 2013, but we wanted to nail down the venue since in this town they fill up rather quickly. I called on Thursday 7÷5÷12 three different times so the third time I left a message. No response. So on monday 7÷9÷12 I called again and Christi (?) answered the phone. I had stated that I called last week to arrange a tour and she goes «ok.» So I again said we wanted to arrange a tour to which she replies «I can get you in in about 2 weeks». I told her that if it was really that long we’d pass cause we wanted to nail down a venue within the week. When I said that she perked up and said «oh well Im available all day tomorrow, when would you like to come down». So we set an appointment for the next day (tues 7÷10÷12) at 4:30pm. The next day at 2:15pm I get a text message, yes I said text message, from Christ (?) saying that she had to cancel the tour but could show us on Thursday or Friday. I found it odd she texted me considering no text communication had occured prior, so a bit unprofessional, btu regardless we responded with «which day» and we NEVER got a response.
I’m so blown away with these supposed «wedding venues» here in Vegas. The only reliable choices it seems are those ones downtown that cost $ 40. It’s a shame.

We went to the wedding of two friends here, Saturday evening, 3÷17÷12. Because of an unplanned winter storm, the wedding was moved from outdoors to the large indoor reception hall. The staff moved tables and rearranged seats to accommodate all the guests. The ceremony was well done an was very nice.
After the ceremony, we were asked to stand aside while the staff rearranged tables and chairs, and we were able to find our assigned tables and enjoy the people we were meeting for the first time.
There were hors d’oeuvres and an open bar while the rearranging took place so everyone could occupy themselves. Later, there was a buffet dinner. The food was well prepared and service at the line was polite and friendly.
Congratulations, my friends! It was a wonderful evening and thanks for the thoughtful seating arrangement.
One complaint not limited to just this venue – could someone please design a comfortable folding chair?

My husband and I just got married there nov, 12 th, 2011 and had an awesome time. Everything including our rehearsal the day before was professional, up beat and friendly. They exceeded my expectations. I love the fact that in every picture I have with them in the back ground they are wearing all black and dressed very nice, as if they were a part of the wedding or an upscale restaurant were all the staff is wearing black. The whole day was about my husband and I, and they did not let anything out shine us at all. It is very nice to know that there is such good people out there not trying to rip you off for every little thing. My family and I will defiantly have another event there. They made us feel like we were family and very honest, and told us straight to the point about any questions we had. No beating around the bush and up front and professional while doing so. I am so happy that I have pictures with Erin and her staff to remember them for a life time!

Great place to hold any event: wedding, birthday party, fun in the sun party– whichever! The grounds are well kept and the dining hall is great too!

Although I am still very pleased with my wedding experience at Secret Garden, I have to update… I’m still waiting for my video. I know they have to edit it, and put music to it (which we get to select), but that seems like something that can be finished before 5 months. That’s why I’m dropping my rating to 4.

It is not a secret anymore. Secret Garden = Cheesy Garden. My best friend from college just got married there this past Saturday. To be fair, I don’t know the exact amount she spent on her wedding, but it was very tacky. When I stepped into the Secret Garden, I see nothing but plastic flower arrangements. The bridal lounge was old and dark. It served as a storage area as well as a lounge.
The reception area has a huge wreath hanging at the top. Seriously, take down your Christmas decoration. Did I mention, the room smells too. The white wine was served room temperature. My biggest disappointment would be the food. The herb chicken was dry and bland. The roast beef was too well done. The beans and dip looked like a plate of… don’t want to gross others out.
The wedding coordinator served as the DJ. It is really important for the DJ to do something to get the crowd to interact… nothing.
There are so many different options to get married in Vegas. Secret Garden is not one of them.
