Day 2, 6am…
Right when the whistle blows, the competitors have just 8 hours to complete the following with the theme of Astrology/​Horoscopes:
3 types of bonbons
a decorative cake-(Entremet)
an ice cream cake (Entremet Glacé)
3 types of mini cakes (Petite Gateaux)
*Teams must produce enough for all 12 tasting judges, and for photography purposes as well…
one chocolate showpiece, minimum 4′, maximum 8’
one sugar showpiece, minimum 4′, maximum 8’
No bathroom break, no lunch break, all work must be done and kitchens must be spotless by 2pm…
The competitors must move their showpieces and other elements to the table for judging by 2:30pm
everyone meets the 2pm deadline, but South Korea’s chocolate showpieces breaks as they’re transporting it to the table…
all other teams get there showpieces to the table for judging, BUT…
during judging, China’s chocolate dragon collapses, and South Korea’s sugar showpiece comes crashing down… Not a good day for them… when the results are finally tallied, Team Japan emerged victorious and recieved back-​to-​back championships!

2nd-​USA (Also Best Degustation (Taste)

You are able to get in free if you wear a chef’s coat. There are multiple booths set up with free samples: chocolate, packaging, flavorings and more chocolate (and who doesn’t like free chocolate?).
You are able to sit fairly close to the competition to see it all happen. Stop by on day 2 and find out if Team USA wins for a second straight year?
