Great BBQ!!! If you are in the area be sure to stop by. The food is wonderful and you won’t be disappointed. I love the beef and pork.

Been to Yum Yum BBQ4 times since they opened up this year. The food has always tasted good, and the sides are good olé home cookin with many to select from. I love how Alex slices the pork and brisket thin. I had chicken once, and it was too dried out and not anything special. The pork has always been tasty, but I once did get what appeared to be the bottom of the pile and was just tiny pieces the size of rice that was covered with two small slices of meat on top. This last time we grabbed it to go, and two bites in found a long hair tangled in the Mac and Cheese, so I completely lost my appetite and threw it all away. It’ll take me a few months to recover before I will consider going back. Maybe it’s time for hairnets or something. Up to that point, Alex and his family have been very nice and outgoing, generous on their portions, and cook just good BBQ — and this is the only reason why I may still go back when I eventually get over the last experience I had.

First off, I have to say that Chef Alex and his family are a class act. Not only do they put great care and love into the food they serve, they care about their community as well. I personally have been to YUMYUM twice and both times walked away inspired by his vision for his restaurants future. Now on to the«Nitty Gritty» as it were, the meats here are smoked in a mixture of apple wood and hickory and of a high grade _no fatty lower grades of meat here. The beef brisket is choice and sliced thin, which enhances the little bits of smoke«bark» that crumbles off the edges. Add the homemade BBQ sauce and you are in «lip-smackin» heaven. I’ve had the beef two ways _both in a sandwich for lunch and as a part of a large platter and you can’t go wrong if you love LEAN Brisket cut thin — almost like Italian Beef. The BBQ Pork Tenderloin is also an option that I took advantage of and it did not disappoint with its smoky flavor. I appreciate how Yum Yum puts the sauce on the side and doesn’t have the meat«swimmin» in sauce. Yum Yum has a variety of sides to compliment their meats. On this given day there was brined corn on the cob cooked in the husk over coals, homemade baked beans, three cheese baked mac and cheese, the also serve french fries and onion rings. Finally, I’d like to thank Alex’s daughter for making a scrumptious homemade lemon cheesecake that cleaned my palate and left me wanting seconds. Bön Appetit — Ya’ll !!

Awesome new little place located in the Yogi Bear Jellystone Park just off of I-25 and exit 174 in Larkspur, CO. Moist, delicious and the best I have had in a long time. Alex, master smoker knows exactly what he is doing! Great menu with a lot of items and choices. My favorite is the Yummy Bear, I eat this about three times a week already and they have only been open for two weeks. They pride themselves on the slow smoked pulled pork and beef, I love both for lunch and dinner. They keep adding new sides, have take-out(which I am doing tonight) or you can just hang out and eat it at the picnic tables with the views of the mountains. Highly recommend!
