History
Established in 2009.
The best evidence for treatment of the spine is not from advertisements, online forums, or websites. It is from data obtained through clinical research performed by physicians who report their findings in reputable journals. Dr. Su sees it as his responsibility to condense this information and explain it in a way patients can understand. One of Dr. Su’s goals is to educate patients with the most up to date information and treatment options.
Since starting his practice in Marin, Dr. Su has maintained an outcomes registry on all of his surgical patients. He feels that it is important for surgeons to know their outcomes so that they can tell patients what to anticipate from surgery based on concrete data. It is imperative for patients to ask their surgeon for data on what his/her outcomes are. These outcome measures are called disability scores, visual analogue scores, and patient satisfaction scores. Patients should then use this data to make an informed decision about their care.
