Business Owner

Dr. John West is our Medical Director and Board Certified Radiation

Oncologist. He has been with Tampa Bay Oncology Center since 2002. Dr. West earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1970. He went on to complete his internship at Tampa General Hospital and completed a two year residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine, where he trained in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. He later completed a Fellowship in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. West is a remarkable physician and diagnostician. He is always reading and researching — staying up to date on all of the latest data and studies in oncology. He is married with children and grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys jogging and reading.
