Bootstrap Catering is also happy to provide the decadent and luxurious as well. Whether you want us to drop of a lunch buffet or provide a fully staffed evening we can do so.
We have a broad selection of cuisines from American Traditional and French, Mexican/Latin, Italian/Mediterranean, Indian and Asian Fusion options. Bootstrap is respectful of cultures and traditions as well as being very sensitive to the special dietary requirements and preferences of everyone. Whether vegan, vegetarian or gluten free we are proud of our delicious recipes that can accommodate your requests and satisfy your palate.

History
Established in 2003.
We began as a way to help provide affordable wedding options for those on a budget with some catering on the side. This grew into a business that handled small events and large festival production. Chef Brad started with Urban Community Outreach Drop-In-Center as supervising chef then program director feeding homeless people in Long Beach, CA. Bootstrap (hence the name) came out of those efforts. Training many homeless people and hundreds of university students. Bootstrap Catering was created as a way to employ those trained in Chef Brad’s kitchen as well as another way to pass on left over prepared food to those in need through the good Samaritan laws.
Although Brad has moved on from UCO DIC he still wants to give back. In addition to the successful retail business Bootstrap Catering still wants to help non-profits put on profitable fund raisers. We keep the name as a reminder of our humble beginnings.

Chef Brad was taught in the kitchens of his family’s homes and businesses. His grandmother a well known gourmet chef was his first influence. She provided the state dinners for 2 governors of the state of Maine as well as wrote for several publications and was revered by Marjorie Standish the well known author of New England cookbooks. Her style and creativity inspired Brad from a young age. She was Martha before Martha was Martha.
His mother a well known hostess who from a wheelchair never turned down a challenge to cook for 2 or 200, try a new recipe or style of cooking gave him his drive and determination.
Brad is always willing to try new ideas and if he has tasted it he can probably recreate it for you.
