I bought a washer/​dryer from Bayshore Appliances, $ 400 for the pair. Everything got delivered and set up very nicely, seemed like everything was going fine. In the first day, we noticed that the dryer was getting very hot, melting the elastic and burning our clothes. We cleaned the dryer vent in our house from top to bottom, very thoroughly, and it continued to overheat, even on the lowest heat/​delicates setting.
I called Bayshore Appliances and told them about the problem. They told me over the phone to first try disconnecting the dryer vent from the wall and running it to see if that solved the problem. I told them that I had already cleaned the vent from top to bottom, and knew it was not a vent issue, but agreed to try it anyway. Same results, still overheating. When I asked when somebody could come out to try to fix it, the guy told me to text him my address and he would call me back «either tomorrow or Thursday» (this was on a Tuesday). I didn’t hear from them for a WEEK, at which point I called them back. The guy said he would be down my way 2 days from then, and could come by sometime Thursday morning.
Thursday morning they sent a guy who I thought was going to repair the dryer, but just brought a replacement used dryer of the same make, different model. The delivery man (Nareesh?) was very nice, the only pleasant experience working with this «business».
After using the «new» used dryer a few times over the next couple of days, it seemed to be working alright. This morning I woke up, went into the laundry room, and it was about 100 degrees in there! The coil had been heating up ALL NIGHT even without the dryer running. Thank you Bayshore Appliances for potentially burning my house down (how many times?). I called Bayshore Appliances and told them what was going on. First he told me that he couldn’t find anything wrong with the first dryer (even though I have the burned clothes to prove it!), then he started asking me how I knew that the «new» dryer was causing the room to get so hot. I told him I could physically hear and see the coil burning red-​hot, even though the dryer was not and had not been running. He told me that it was doubtful that the dryer was causing this. He then told me to unplug it and they would call me on Monday (not come to fix it on Monday, they would just call me!) I told him to forget about it, I would not deal with them anymore after they gave me 2 bunk appliances, both of which they claimed they tested at the warehouse before delivering.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK, READ REVIEWS, ONLY DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE IF YOU ARE MASOCHISTIC AND WANT TERRIBLE APPLIANCES/​SERVICE. How they are still in business, I may never know.

Do not buy from this business, or you will find yourself buying elsewhere to get a working appliance. Johnny and his muslim Indian family will rip you off!

I wouldn’t give them a star if there was an option. This is by far the worst decision to buy something from this company. I have NOT ONE GOOD THING TO SAY. Bought a washer/​dryer combo. LESS THAN 2 weeks, the dryer stopped running. Call Friday morning, says ‘we will be there today between 6&7, or tomorrow 6&7′ and hangs up. Doesn’t show up either day. Monday comes out for 1 minute says ‘needs a new motor’, will be back in next 2 days. No show Tuesday, Wednesday @ 6 I call & same guy (which I’d like to use other words, but won’t) answers ‘I didn’t guarantee next 2 days.’ So if it’s not a guarantee or a promise, it doesn’t mean anything. Purchase comes with 30 day warranty, but will not roll-​over with new motor. Absolutely disgusted with this company & would not let my worst enemy buy from them. ive never posted a review, and frankly probably won’t post another. But this company & the way they do business needs to be known. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT BUY. DO NOT BUY.

We purchased a used refrigerator/​freezer (side by side). Six months later, it stopped cooling completely. We called our home warranty company who scheduled an appliance repair company to come and fix it.
The repairman found that the compressor had been «rigged» by someone using poor wiring skills. He was able to repair it properly, removing the three bad devices used and replacing the three with one device. He did this in under an hour.
We obviously can’t be certain it was done by Bayshore Appliances, but you would think that they would check these units out thoroughly to make sure their customers aren’t getting badly wired appliances that are most likely going to break down or burn out in a short period of time. We won’t be purchasing from them again since this was either done by them or overlooked by them and could have cost us all of the foods in our refrigerator/​freezer. Luckily, we caught it in time. We feel this was neglectful on their part.
Our lesson learned was that we should, if we need to purchase another used appliance in the future, ask to look at the back bottom of the unit and look at how the wiring looks. If it looks spliced up, ramshackle and «filthy»…it’s most likely been rigged or abused.
