Do not let this man operate on you or a loved one. He only does that which he knows how to do regardless of the needs of the patient. My mother was in her seventies when she broke her hip. It seemed quite clear that she was a candidate for full hip replacement. This, however, is not Dr. Soriano’s area so he put two pins in despite the fact that she has arthritis and mild osteoporosis. The pins came loose and my Mom needed another surgery to remove them 7 months later. When we asked Dr. Soriano what was next – he said she needed hip replacement surgery. The worst thing about all of this was his refusal to openly discuss possibilities or options with us prior to the first surgery. I asked several times whether hip replacement was a better option and he replied«I won’t know till I get in there and have a look.» Please look around and find someone who is more interested in the health of the patient than what he can bill Medicare and insurance for.
