Restaurant is nice but food is average at best. Has both mexican food and sushi and neither is great.

Looked nice from the outside, although its just a corner section of Falcon Bank(which is why its hard to find lol, Unilocal has location wrong on map). Décor was ugly, it wasn’t «sushi» appropriate at all. Floral patterned carpet, round dining tables, and a guy playin keyboard or something and singin Spanish songs. No habachi from what I saw. Appetizer wasn’t onion soup as we expected, but rather chips & salsa. Maybe this is a Laredo thing but chips n salsa doesn’t go with sushi, we sent it back. Sake was great, rolls were pretty good, sushi/sashimi not so much. It was sliced too thin, was tough, dry and a little warm, like it’d been frozen before and has been settin out too long, and had that slight ‘dead fish smell’ that sushi isn’t supposed to have. My fiancé and brother both got a little sick that night, I think the only reason I didn’t is because I ate mostly rolls. We won’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend. Hayashi is waaayyyyy better.
