Sam Nordone & Sons Auto Body

The nicest, most honest guys who do fabulous work. I’ve been going to Nordone for many years with little dings to major damage and I can always count on Sammy and his sons to take care of everything quickly and fairly. I don’t even live in Westchester anymore but I still bring my car only to them!

A few years ago, someone hit my car while it was parked in front of our home. On the advice of our auto mechanic, we took the car to Nordone and Sons in Larchmont. Sam Nordone suggested we have our insurance carrier pay for the damages since he felt the job would cost a few thousand dollars. One of his sons drove me home and about a week or two later he called to say the car was ready. Sam suggested that as a new customer, I should drive my other car to his shop (when I was coming to pick up my repaired vehicle), and he would clean and polish it at no charge. I was a little surprised by this incredibly generous offer, but when I went to pick up my car, it looked better than it did when I purchased it! I left him my older 96 Volvo, which Sam, detailed and polished and even took out some dents! He then asked if I had any other cars, and I told him my daughter was home from college and had a Toyota Rav 4, he offered to detail it as well and at no charge! Over the last few years, I have been going to Sam’s body shop for all my auto repairs and on many occasions, if the job is less than a few hundred dollars, he refuses to charge, assuring me that I’ll be back for the bigger jobs! And he has been right!
On Thanksgiving Day, I backed my car into my other daughter’s Subaru! I had forgotten she had parked her car in front of our garage and just assumed I was backing up to the curb. I did some significant damage to her passenger side door and promised that I’d have it repaired when she came home for her college break in late December. You can’t imagine how idiotic I felt but things like this happen and at least no one was hurt!
I drove her car over to Sam Nordone’s shop on Monday December 24, and Sam assured me it would be ready by Friday December 28^th! However he urged me to leave him the car so he could get to work on it immediately, even though it was the day before Christmas! One of his son’s drove me home and even offered to bring the finished car to my house, if I couldn’t get my daughter to come with me to pick up her car. Anyone who has a 21 year old daughter will understand that! Yesterday Sam called to say the car was ready and when I drove over to get the car, it looked so spectacular that I wondered if it was the same car I had dropped off 5 days before. There was not only any evidence of damage to the door, but the entire car had been polished and cleaned both on the inside and outside!
Over the years I have recommended many of my friends to take their cars to be repaired or cleaned, if it was on a lease and they wanted to get top dollar for their car. Everyone who has taken my advice have felt that while Sam’s shop is in Larchmont (right by the New Rochelle border), his service is well worth the distance they have to travel. And since Sam and his sons insists on door to door service, they will make sure to get you home seconds after you drop off your car.
While I hope you never need to have to have body work on your automobiles, if you do, you should make it your business to at least drop by Sam Nordone’s for an estimate. This is one very remarkable family business where the customer is made to feel part of their family too!
