Thunderbird Bowling

There is something about small-​town bowling alleys that I love. No matter what, I can always have a great time there. And this one was no exception. Even though it was in August, sweltering hot, and the air condition was broken. It made standing in front of the fans so much better. And the fact that the pub had $ 6 pitchers of Blue Moon, kept us cool.
And the prices for bowling were pretty low too. For six of us, unlimited bowling along with shoe rental was only $ 66. Can’t find too many places that can beat that price. And the staff, especially the bartender, were extremely friendly. Everything, from bowling balls to the bathroom were well kept, clean, and well maintained. The patrons were friendly, welcoming and very amusing, especially the one armed man with the Led Zeppelin tattoo. And the pizza we had was pretty good, in the way of bowling alley food.
I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Friday night in LaPorte IN!

Ahhhhhhh… This is what I call a classic bowling alley. This is what every bowling alley should be. This place is old-​school as far as bowling alleys are concerned and if you are looking for flash, style, elegance, high tech equipment and state of the art lanes then go back where you came from. The equipment works well enough, the place is kept up just enough, and the prices are just right to offer up a fun enjoyable evening. I think we all regressed a few years when we came in here. I t was well worth it as I had a blast.
