The inside was great as far as the country scheme! Live band was good as well, a little loud but good. There was a huge miscommunication between me and«events coordinator», she never sent me the reservation contract and when I attempted to call the day before I was going there, they told me she wasnt there but would be in the following day between 2 – 3. So I called back the following day at 2:30 and they told me she wouldnt be in until 4. I called back again and they said she would be there when I got there. I got there with my party of 20 and there was no where for us to sit. The staff didnt know what to do, the one waitress walked away from me completely. I walked back over to the host stand and asked to speak to the manager immediately. When he came over, I showed him my emails between me and the events coordinator and he did apologize and stated that she wasnt even in that day. Of course at that point there wasnt anywhere for us to sit at all besides the 5 bar-stools that were open. He did give me a gift certificate to try to compensate, which I did appreciate. At one point we hadnt seen our waitress in awhile and I asked one that was walking by if I could get another beer and she rudely replied, well dont you have a waitress? The staff out on the floor wasnt the greatest and they could all use more training and be a bit more friendly. We walked up to the bar most of the night to get our drinks. We did end up having a great time but the staff wasnt the greatest.

This place is amazing! Went out with some girls from work and we all had a blast. We didn’t eat there so I’m not sure how the food is but if you want a bar night this is a great place.

We there tonight with a party of 10. It is Sunday and the restaurant was not busy. I ordered a Cheeseburger and a friend ordered a Bacon Burger, the other 8 were OK. The waitress came back and asked me if I wanted cheese on my burger. Well yes I did order a cheeseburger and my friend’s order was delivered without the bacon so he had to wait for the bacon. Cook staff must have been asleep. How can you mess up too orders when they were not even busy. Food was ok, nothing special. Piped in Music playing a little too loud but it was manageable. Not sure if we would go back. We were at the Original TC in Nashville a few weeks ago and there is no comparison. Send your entire staff to Nashville for training. No manager came to our table.

It’s a country bar… there is no country music past 10:00. If I wanted to go to a non country bar I would not have tracked out to the Lansing mall. If you know what you’re in for it’s fun but if you’re expecting a real country bar it’s awful and you should save your $ 5 cover.

Great atmosphere everything looks decent, upon further inspection the bar has some poor craftsmanship based on the crudely added light switches and cracked barn wood. I would be shocked if they weren’t loosing money. The bar staff didn’t ring up ANY of my drinks, I wanted to pay as I go yet not a single one of the three different bartenders who took my order offered me a bill. I could have walked off without paying but I insisted. All of them assumed the other one had done it. Girl behind the bar snap chatting openly, the first beer I received had about 3 fl. oz. missing. You would think a place called Tequila Cowboy would have a reasonable selection of tequila but no they do not. I can’t describe the utter chaos and cluelessness of the staff.

LANSINGNEEDEDTHIS! What a great entertainment center. Food is good, drinks are great and the bands have been wonderful. I have been there 4 times now and only had one band that wasn’t good. It is great for anyone 21 – 90 during the late night hours! DJ Donnie D is great as always! Wannabe’s is fun too!

If you want to drink and line dance this is the place for you. If you want to have a quick dinner someplace new this is not the place for you. The décor is fun. Don’t let them sit you near the patio doors in the winter. There is quite a gap at the bottom of the doors that lets in plenty of fresh(cold) air and makes me wonder about mice and other crawling things. The smoked brisket had good flavor but was a little fatty and was drenched in BBQ. The onion rings were NOT worth the $ 2 up charge and the coleslaw(that I had to remind the waitress to bring) should have been left in the kitchen.

The atmosphere was fantastic! The lighting was awesome, we were greeted with a friendly smile, sat quickly, and our waitress was there without a second to lose. We had the Fried Dill Pickles and the Mozerella sticks for our appitizers. They were half off before 8pm. My god, delicious! Then the All American Hamburger was just cooked to perfection. The house salad, the fries, everything. For sure will be coming back again. Not to mention the prices were great.

Okay, to be fair, based on décor and vibe, this place would be a 5 star! Barnwood walls, pictures of country stars on the walls, whiskey barrels lining the ceilings, a mechanical bull, plenty of seating, 3 bars which is great if you can pack the place… I do see that they could have trouble with the size of this place in the future. Judging from the décor they sank a pretty penny into this place, looks great but wow, it’s HUGE!\ location is not the greatest, on the backside of a mall not near much else. If you’re going there, you’re stuck there pretty much. Now here is where this place gets a 1 star. SERVICE. I’m in the industry, I bartend and have for many years. This is a service industry. It should not be hard to accomplish even the basics of bartending at a place like this… First off, our waitress did not seem to even know what liquor they had behind the bar, we sat ourselves right at the rail and had to tell her pretty much step by step. She claims they did not have Fireball whiskey, well maybe they didn’t behind her bar, but she could have stepped above and beyond and checked one of the other 2 bars or checked in liquor storage, yet NO effort was made. We also ordered a beer, she ran around the bar 3 times trying to find it, came back only to ask us what it was we were asking for. She didn’t know what flavors of vodka they had either… well, how about you go check and get yourself familiar? Here is my biggest issue. Safety. As a bartender, you hold your customer and others safety in your hands. Rule #1…you DON’T OVERSERVE. This is what we heard her say to a customer verbatim, «It’s better to over serve you than not serve you at all!». no hunny. no. Then, young ladies sat at the rail, she did not card them explaining«well, you look 21!» We were not carded either, we are all in our mid 20’s. Potential here, but staff needs to get a clue. Learn your bar, familiarize yourself with laws and rules regarding alcohol service, over serving someone is not a joke nor is serving a minor and costing this pretty, new bar it’s liquor license.

Work in progress/terrific potential! Facility is fantastic! Bull riding, karaōke, many TV’s and ample seating for large parties(we showed up with 15 and sat immediately/comfortably). Virgin wait staff is trying hard and will improve. Wings were pedestrian at best. Deep fried pickles were well executed and delicious. When we reordered the pickles we were told that they were out of stock.(Growing pains). Actually ran out of Miller Lite at the bar area we were at(they have 4 bars). Margarita special was completely awesome! See the picture. Food was a little slow, growing pains that will improve. Steak was tough, burgers and chicken cold… etc. All areas that should improve as they get their game together. Brisket was a bright spot! Giving them a 2 this time around and will upgrade or downgrade based on my next trip through. I really want this place to be awesome! Management tip… don’t put the chairs up at 8:25 just after halftime of the MSU bball game. In fact, NEVER put them up when people are in the establishment, even 15 minutes past close. Just bad. Be more awesome than that.

Okay I don’t do country music but I do eat country food. The menu in this new west — side restaurant /performance venue is limited and uninspiring. B– burgers and brisket. Battered fries were great! Coleslaw was bare cabbage — no mayo or vinegar dressing. 4 pool tables, skeeball and a mechanical bull. Karaōke bar. Don’t think we’ll be back… unless the Red Hot Chili Peppers are performing.

This is a new place at one of our local malls we went to in Dec 2015… kind of knew we were in trouble after the server went on and on about a dish suggestion that after we poured over the menu found didn’t exist. We brought this to her attention and said she had too many days off and blah blah blah… anyway she then went on and on about how amazing the nachos and brisket sandwich were… so we ordered those. The brisket sandwich was barely passable, overcooked flavorless meat… generic BBQ sauce, horrible sauceless coleslaw, and bland fries … the nachos were truly BAD a huge pile of generic white flour tortilla chips very little toppings which consisted of what appeared to be canned cheese sauce, way under ripe tomatos, weird over cooked meat, etc… bad. And cold. Mixed drinks were basic. Service basic. Food horrible. Décor and environment was country western and done alright. Doubt we’ll be back.
