Called to have toilet snaked out. Would not give me any sort of estimate as to cost. $ 29 trip charge and then they will diagnose and quote you… I asked again for a very rough idea and they replied we have no idea of pricing here in the office. Could not have been more cold. I’ve heard they do good work but I need to have at least a very rough idea before I have you come to my house.

In short, we had Roto-​Rooter out because our powder room toilet was backing up and water was coming back through an inactive, uncapped pipe in our basement. The technicians pulled the toilets and put a camera down to uncover any blockage. No blockage was found. We paid the bill and the technicians left. Later that day the powder room toilet started to gurgle again. We had Roto-​Rooter back out the next day. The new technician quickly diagnosed the problem as a blocked vent extending from the roof. The vent was cleared. We again paid the bill for this visit. In hindsight, we should not have been charged for the second visit because the first visit never resovled the problem. Had we had the technician from day two on day one the problem would have been solved on day one. We have asked repeatedly for a refund of the day two bill. We have not had this resolved.
