Terrible experience they are con artist they claim that customers come first but only until they get your money then they wash there hands of you don’t have a problem because they will not help you, I truly believe race plays a big role in who they choose to help I will never ever deal with this dealer again they are dishonest and backstabbing from the finance manager who has a attitude problem to the gm manager who really cares less now the owner I found to be a pretty good person he just has to much trust in his management team that sucks but I will never deal with them again, I give them no stars.

I went to Phillips Chevrolet in Lansing on Wednesday and the service I received was awesome. My service advisor Kathy got my car right in to be looked at. Well as you can guess it was not good news. I had a bad leak that was very expensive. I also had recall that needed to be done. Well they did my recall item right then and I told them that I needed to talk to my husband about the other work. Kathy told me that would be fine and to just give her a call when I was ready. Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciated the prompt and friendly customer service that I received and Thank you very much!!!

Came here to get my car serviced because of recalls along with a oil change. The service tech about the amount of time that they expected it but the people in the service office weren’t very friendly. A couple of days later I realize that a bag of personal items that I leave in my car for emergencies was missing so I called the dealership service department. I was directed to the service department manager and informed him of the incident. He got very defensive and snappy with me. He suggested that I call him back later instead of him calling me back. He went to the back that I noticed three days later and he says that things like this never happen. I am form Tim that there was a Unilocal me stating that it has happened very recently and he seemed surprised that it was actually out on the Internet. I usually go to the Chevy dealership in Homewood and never have this problem. I would never recommend that anyone go to this dealership for anything.

I went to get my car fixed at Phillips Chevy earlier this summer. My car was shaking really badly when I would drive over 50 mph. I had been to another mechanic prior to going to Chevy but when they told me the types of repairs I needed I decided to take my car to the dealership to get it fixed. I figured I would spend a little more money but at least my car will be fixed right with a better warranty.
I made an appointment for 8am and went in and waited with my car. After several hours had passed, I started to ask about the status of my car. I continued to ask as the hours passed by. I guess they got tired of me asking so they came back and told me what they thought was wrong with my car. The repair that they recommended was completely different from what the other mechanics that I had previously taken my car to suggested for me to get fix. However, I allowed them to do $ 686 repair because they are a dealership that sells my car. I figured they just had better diagnostic technology than the other shops I had been to.
On my way home from my car being serviced, I noticed that it was still shaking once I reached 50 mph. I immediately called them back. They told me to bring my car in after I got off work the next day. When I arrived the next day, they took my car in. They had me sit there and wait for about two hours. I complained about waiting for so long again being that I had been there just the day before. I didn’t understand what was taking so long since they should have already known what the problem was. After all the waiting, they came back and told me that my car had a completely different problem that was causing the shaking from what they had told me the day before. It just so happened to be the same problem that the mechanics that I had taken my car to prior to coming to Phillips Chevy suggested me fix. That means they had me spend $ 686 on a repair that was not needed the day before because they did a rushed job after having me waiting for so long. They also told me I would have to make another appointment to come back in to have it fixed because they did not have the manpower there that late in the evening. I asked to speak to their manager because I did not feel I should have to pay for a mistake they made and I also did not think I should have to come back since this was an appointment that they scheduled.
I talked to the manager, a really young guy name Dennis. BTW, all the mechanics who work at Phillips Chevy are really young. I also think I encountered the problem of my car not being fixed correctly because they were inexperienced. Usually when I take my car to a dealer to get fixed, they fix my car to perfection (or at least the problem that I took it in to be serviced for). I had never experienced anything like this before.
Dennis and I came to the agreement that they would provide the parts for free if I paid for labor. Initially, he felt that I should have to still pay for everything. I came in a few days later to get the problem fixed. They had my car for several days. I was alright with it because Dennis said that he would not give it back until the problem was fixed correctly. When they called me to tell me how much the parts would be I almost freaked out. They told me the repairs would be $ 750. They also said that it was originally $ 1500 and that they were paying half.
I arrived to pick up my vehicle and one of the service techs took me to the window to pay for my repairs. He assured me that they had taken care of half of the expenses. I paid what I thought was the remaining balance. I drove my car home and it worked fine. However, when I got home and studied the invoice more carefully, I realized that they lied to me. I saw that the bill was never $ 1500 and that they charged me for both the parts and the labor. At this point I was too drained to fight about it anymore. I just decided I would never take my car there to be serviced again and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone else.

VERY rude service and when I took my car in, they stole items out of my car. NEVER going back. The place was great with the previous owners, but now it’s just terrible.

I just purchased my 2010 Honda Fit from Phillips Chevy in Lansing. This car is great and the team that helped me with my purchase was amazing. Props to James, Henry, and Tom for putting together a great deal for this fantastic car.

Service was really rude. I called ahead and was told to come on in, would take 5 minutes. So when I pulled up (2 cars ahead of me with no one in them) and made eye contact with a few of the men that were walking around. No one came over to help me for about 10 minutes. Then I questioned like I had no idea about the car I drive! Just because I am a woman does not mean I am clueless.
So from now on I will drive to another dealership ~ I do not care how far I have to go. Sunrise NEVER treated me like this, they just might be worth the 60 mile trip if I cannot find another dealership nearby.
