Specialties
The Lansing Community College Library exists to engage students in learning, link people to resources, and give exception service to all by providing access to high quality, reliable resources and services.
History
Established in 1957.
The college library began as one room in Old Central building and then expanded to two rooms. The 1960’s saw the Old Central Library open.
A need for expansion brought a second location which opened in the Arts and Sciences building during the 1970’s. Yet, further expansion brought another location in the Gannon Vocational.
In 1998 The era of divided locations ended as the entire library moved to a new facility, the Technology and Learning Center, located on the South-West corner of the campus. This consolidated the collection, expanded the library from 35,000 to 43,000 square feet, and made use of new technology to deliver quality library service in the new millennium.
