Gallery 1212 Fine Art Studio

I think Gallery 1212 is a very small gallery, but has some great pieces of artwork to browse at. I really like it how all of their art is done by artists all over the Michigan area. My favorite pieces were the digital photography work. I had a lot of music themes, which seem to intrigue me a lot.

Gallery 1212 was a great art gallery which seemed to carry some very unique pieces of art from a variety of artists, most of whom are from the Michigan area. As I entered, I was quickly greeted by the woman who was working who explained that I was free to move about the studio and not to miss the «back room,» which doubles as a studio work space as well as part of the gallery. In addition to selling art and having some studio space, which I’d assume is for the 3 women who co-​own/​run the gallery, they also have classes for various art mediums. The art classes are open to the community and are very reasonably priced — the one they are currently advertising, «Cork & Canvas» is a one time, 3-​hour class, for $ 25per person! Very reasonable, especially for novice artists. They also seem to offer classes for children.
The gallery is a great stop for someone looking to pick up an original piece of artwork or for someone looking for a creative outlet. Art ranged from interesting wall sculptures to affordably priced pottery to paintings.
